Scandal Pour Homme Parfum Cologne

I love this fragrance. Unfortunately, my skin absorbs it in only an hour, and nothing is left. On me, it opened with heavy herbs that faded to very nice amber, cloves, and wood. It's gorgeous. I love Roja Dove and think he's a genius. I have one FB of Enigma/Creation E that wears for an eternity on me. This is very expensive and worth every penny if you can afford it. Edit to add: I disagree that Eau Sauvage is a substitute for Scandal. ES is a chypres. At least on my skin, Scandal is definitely a fougere. It's very herbaceous. ES opens with a blast of lemon that fades to floral then to musk and vetiver and finally settles in musk. Edit again: I pulled my sample vial out of the box I'm sending to my best friend and tried it again. This is a symphony. It's lasted longer on me this time. Settles down to vetiver, moss, and sandalwood. I can't resist. I must have this. I live in the tropics and wash my shirts after just one wear, so I'm going to try spraying this on a shirt to increase the longevity. Final verdict: I have received a FB. I get good results from it for the first hour with 2 sprays on each forearm. (I don't know how long the sillage lasts on my neck.) There is decent sillage for an hour when it becomes a lovely skin scent that lasts on my skin for another 3 hours. This is very expensive juice but worth every penny in my opinion. If you're looking for something a little similar, try Guerlain's Heritage EDT. It's woodier but also a fougere. 11 Dec 2021: I wore this at a party last night and received a compliment from someone I'm hoping is noticing me. It was only one spray on my throat and a mist on my shirt a couple of hours before he said anything, so I believe that settles my concerns about longevity. This fragrance is stunning and by far one of the most versatile I own.

Scandal starts off very bright and invigorating: a burst of juicy lemon and aromatic lavender take charge ahead of a green backbone of mint, petitgrain and basil. A soft and sparkly heart of jasmine, violet and Rose de Mai then gives the scent that classic Roja signature that he does so well. The lemon, lavender and mint stay strong throughout the life of the scent, but in the dry down they mingle spectacularly with soft oakmoss, sparkly ambergris and earthy vetiver. Scandal is the perfect iteration of the modern fougere. It smells very classical and masculine, but at the same time is very mass appealing and contemporary. The lemon and lavender in here smell photorealistic as if the real thing is right in front of you, while the oakmoss and ambergris lay a soft and slightly powdery bed for everything to rest gently on. Scandal is undoubtedly a mature and sophisticated scent for a modern gentleman, but the Parfum Cologne version seems to be brighter and more youthful as all the scents in this collection are. This is a must have if you’re a fan of fougeres, it does this classical French scent profile fantastic justice while still keeping up with the times, all with fantastic quality throughout. A must have for spring in my opinion.

Wow. Noticed most of the PC/EDP line was missing from Roja’s site. Contacted support and they confirmed that the entire Scandal, Danger, and Vetiver lines have been discontinued. :’( This is particularly sad for me with Scandal. There’s nothing that quite fills this niche. And I had just decided it deserved a place in my top 10 for life. It’s like Eau Sauvage but modernized and more luxurious, made more spicy (especially clove) and green, prickly to the nose, or spiky even, and far better performing. There are layers to unpack that most modern perfumes no longer have with their simplistic and minimalist architecture. Dare I call this a masterpiece? Yes. Over the requisite time, this could join the ranks of “timeless masterpieces”. Further, this discontinuation has a larger impact. If the house of Roja will discontinue several of its “signature scent” style fragrances before they’ve even had time to garner the respect over the necessitated timeframe to become “timeless” then the consumer loses trust in the house. The act tells me that they are chasing fads and sales rather than respecting and trusting in their past creations. So thus, I lose respect and trust in Roja.

This is the fougere/barber shop scent style i have been hunting for so long. Amazing burst of citris and lavender on the opening. Ultra sharp and masculin. Think Creed Viking without the rose or pink pepper. It has a bit more kick that stays around for longer. Similar to Creed Bois du Portugals opening however the pleasant smell in this sticks around much longer and then instead of drying down to a lemon and mothball type of scent like BDP it becomes a very handsome, fairy floss type musk and woody scent with a bit of moss in the background. Edit: I think i just realised the Rhubarb note is what i am smelling in the base to give it the fairy floss like musk. I think this one is truly remarkable and deserves much higher marks than what it gets here. It is actually my favourite Roja fragrance out of the dozen or so i have tried. If you don't like the powdery barber shop scents this may be for you. This is sharp, sophisticated 90’s barber shop pure masculinity. Sample as always. I think it is a masterpiece - 9.5/10

So I got an opportunity to buy this one heavily discounted - and as I love a nice clean fougere-style fragrance for the office, and being a reckless blind-buyer, I had to go for it. I was a bit worried that the clove listed would cause some funk in the drydown, but no - this is a clean, classic, gentlemanly fragrance for those days where you just want to feel like you got your life together. It's fresh, with that proper amount of warmth to it, making it a nice complex, yet extremely well blended fragrance. No sharp edges or anything making this hard to wear. It lasts me a complete day at work, without being beastly, which makes it a perfect pick for an office-setting. It leaves a really pleasant scent-trail throughout the day. (I've been told) Even though it's modernized, it's still a classic mens fragrance - so you have to appreciate a certain level of old school perfumery to rock this one. If you do though - this is a good one. Really good one.

PURE MASCULINITY WHAT A TRUE MODERN GENTLEMAN WOULD WEAR This fragrance is what the current Dior’s Eau Sauvage wishes to be. Ultra aromatic and herbal. The best quality ingredients In love with this fragrance. Haven’t smelled the Parfum version, but this Parfum Cologne is such an amazingly masterpiece of a creation. No means of measure can define the complexity and love of this one. I have approximately 120 fragrances in my arsenal, if i had to live with merely one fragrance, it’d be this one. It’s that good. It’s like a hybrid between Azzaro Pour Homme & vintage Dior Eau Sauvage. Lemony, Lavendery (and of course, many many more notes) with a hidden underlying animalic hint to it. Pure Passion and Eroticism while being Gentlemanly and Masculine. An all year rounder. A Must Try for Every Gentleman. A Must Have for Every die-hard Eau Sauvage fan. Roja Dove, you’re a MASTER. ★★★★★

On the positive, can’t say anything more that hasn’t been said. A true classic, gentlemanly confidant fougere in the same vein as my beloved Eau Sauvage EDT. Opens bright with citrus, mint and lavender trio. Dries down to a beautiful combo of lavender and oak moss. Superb. Although I don’t like Roja’s prices, one can certainly detect the quality in the oils. Luckily, if you are patient, you can find 3.4oz tester for under $130...which makes it a no-brainer IMHO. Great for year round. Great for every occasion. Certainly a more mature gentleman needs to wear this. A younger man can wear this if he exudes maturity. Don’t think boys would want to wear this anyway. Longevity and projection are both better than Eau Sauvage. Overall, if you enjoy Eau Sauvage, you should love this. Be patient...wait for testers on certain sites, you will be able to pick this up for same price.

If someone told me they sprayed me with a new Eau Sauvage variant when they were actually wearing this I would believe them as it quite a similar opening style to the ol' edt. This has fantastic performance in comparison to ES. Thats not to say this is a powerhouse; its not. I found it performed quite well for about an hour before fading to a subtle small scent cloud (that is easy to go anosmic to) . The skin scent is absolutely stellar; old school soapy with a bit of sparkle. Very pleased with this fragrance and in my current top 5 of of anything I've tried. Edit to add after a couple weeks wearing: the jasmine accord / Indole, does have a halitosis vibe in the deep drydown, but ONLY on fabric, it doesn't do it on my skin. Still easily one of my favorite fragrances but yeah, a little stinky after about 8+ hours when only the base is left.

Got a decant of this from a subscription website. I'm surprised how much I ended up liking it. It has a very classic fougere opening with lavender and herbs that suggests shaving cream or clean linen, and then that rhubarb note comes out and the whole thing becomes just ever-so-slightly spicier and earthier, which is really nice. It lasts as long as you'd hope and projects appropriately without being overpowering. Roja Dove perfumes are EXPENSIVE AS HELL, and this scent might actually be too refined for a younger guy like me to wear regularly (I'm definitely going to save my vial for weddings and nice dinners), so I don't think I'll spring for a full bottle, but if you've got the cash to spend, this is a very elegant twist on a familiar genre of fragrances that is probably best suited for gentlemen above 40.

Scandal opens up Fresh with Lavender, Lemon, Bergamot, & Mint. Seamlessly turning Green & Spicy from notes of Tarragon, Petitgrain, Basil, Oakmoss, & Clove. Then soft Floral notes of Lily-of-the-Valley, Jasmine, Rose de Mai, & Violet add elegance to the Fresh Green spiced opening before starting to turn ever so slightly Woody. While also becoming Warm & Spicy from notes of Tonka Bean, Cardamom, & Nutmeg. Notes of Vetiver & Patchouli maintain Scandals Green character while resting on a base of White Musks & Ambergris. Scandal is a masculine fragrance done in modern fashion. it gives nods to classic Gentlemen's Fragrances like Dior's Eau Savauge & Armani Pour Homme. This is a well dressed mans fragrance. Performance is great. It will bring plenty of compliments.

Don't understand why Roja scents get so much hate. The rating clearly doesnt represent the quality of the scent. As usual with most Roja's, this is a very complex scent blended to absolute perfection with very smooth texture to it. This is like a classic fougere with animalic touch to it and a more modern approach of constructing the base with musk, tonka bean, sandalwood etc. One of the best fougeres I've ever put my nose on. Starts off very bright, with the burst of lemond and herbaceous notes, then dries down to a creamy musky, woody, little spicy and animalic base.Moderate projection and a good longevity. Versatility is very good with this one, can be worn any weather, any occasion. Signature scent worthy. 9/10 for me. If you are fougere lover just get it.

I dig this! Definitely pick up on the Eau Sauvage vibes but also New York Intense by Nicolai, I get whafts of this too. This is nothing ground breaking but its well done, smooth, classy and very masculine. I love the Purple bottle! Overall it's good juice performance isn't the best but it's very hard to get good performance with natural ingredients. I think it's performance is good enough for it's purpose ie a dinner or event lastly 4-6hrs, won't get you through a full work day but it won't offend anyone. It is also very versatile and could be used any season but would struggle in winter 8.5/10 - losing half a point for performance, price and unoriginal scent. If you enjoy barbershop perfumes give this a try, it's worth checking out!

Received a sample of this, thoroughly enjoyed wearing it. Very clean, refined, almost has a cooling affect due to the mint in the opening. You can tell it's well-blended especially in the heart. Usually Lily of the valley stands out, or violet, or rose, but here they're all balanced and represented equally. Others have complained about an animalic smell in the dry down but thankfully that's not the case for me. Longevity and projection are adequate as well. I'm not quite sure why this is called Scandal bc quite frankly it smells clean from top to bottom. Need to get a larger decant to fully verify, but this is perhaps one of my favorite scents that just smell clean and professional. 8/10.

Best Modern Non-barbershop Fougere I've smelled. My top 3 are Roja Scandal, Joop Homme and PDM Percival. Roja Scandal is truly unique. The color of the bottle is perfect for this scent. Very youthful and modern F***Boy and at the same time Modern Gentlmen fragrance. My favorite from Roja! Last 6 hours easily with still leaving a scent ttail. First 3 hours are strong and then it radiates to arms length. Perfectly blended and a masterfu composition. @botnarue you're either a dirty mf that doesn't take showers or you bought a FAKE bottle. Fragrantica needs to ban idiots like you for making useless comments 👍 Edit: its the Rhubarb thats the star here, thats where the sweetness comes from.

Dunno what happened to my review ... ? I agree with TheBoyToy, this is ES made the way it should always have been. In the opening, I didn’t get the reference (for sure mint, lavender and a slight smokiness), but in the dry down it all came in spades. Although I love ES, I’ve always felt that its notes are ever so slightly artificial whereas Scandal just keeps delivering natural notes (and longer lasting). Maybe a bit linear, but when the ”oscillations” go between such fresh and clear fragrances that put a smile on my face, I don’t mind one bit. I only have a sampler at the moment, but this just went to the top of the list of future purchases. Solid 10/10 ... I ❤️ it

Blended to perfection. When it's an Aromatic Fougere it doesn't get better than this. Mature, classy, elegant, powdery, confident, composed, bright, fresh, sophisticated, subtle, green, with some of the finest quality ingredients used. It's a familiar scent easy to be written off due to its resemblance to many other fragrances with the wide variety of options available today. But Scandal has that aura that's unmistakably its own, it has a charm that takes you back a few decades while still holding its modernity and refinement, may seem soft but trust me, it projects in such a way that you magically keep getting whiffs in between. Truly a gentleman's dream.

At first, I didn’t get TheToyBoy’s reference to Eau Sauvage as I initially picked up other scents (lavender, mint and some light smoke), and was thinking how can this ever turn into ES ... but he is right; this is what ES should have been all this time. Don’t get me wrong, I love ES, but it has a somewhat artificial note to it - especially when first spraying it. Scandal on the other hand, only seems to have natural notes. Although being fairly linear, it oscillates beatifully between its key notes. Currently, I only have a sampler bottle, but this will be the next buy for sure! Elysium (another GREAT RD) needs company. 10/10 for me

After going through about 15 ml of decants and smelling about 20ish upscale barbershop fougères, I came back to this and finally purchased it. The scent profile is perfect to me. One foot in vintage, one foot in modern perfumery. It opens up bright, herbal and quickly turns into the most luxurious shaving foam you've ever smelled. It is very dynamic and layered, there is also some warmth to it in the base. I wish the longevity was better, but other than that, it's the cream of the crop. Price is a common complaint obviously being Roja prices, but if you can find it on discounters and you like this scent profile, easy buy.

Aromatic citrus and lavender classic fougere. If you’re over 40 this is going to be something that reminds you of the fragrances men wore back in the day. As it dries down you can smell a slight floral scent for a few minutes. This is classy, classically masculine, and in my opinion, a timeless profile that always works. Most fougeres are very linear. This one is not but the changes are subtle and are what makes it unique. This one reminds me of Dior Eua Savage but with less sharp citrus

My very first impression: this is grandpa's cologne from the 50s. Initially, I was upset to have it, especially for this price tag. However, now I love it. One of my favorites for now. One of the few scents my wife loves on me as well. This is definitely an old-fashioned classic masterpiece. The balanced mix of sour citrus, cypress, freshness, and something else. I also feel lily-of-the-valley and jasmine in the background. 35+ male scent only in my opinion.

The ultimate fougere fragrance I used to have a full bottle and I loved it...I love barbershop fragrances as a whole but this one is especially alluring. I can see how not everyone might love it as much as I do: these barbershop fragrances are sort of old fashioned, so it might give a more mature vibe. This is why I actually don't use it too much to go out. It does make me feel super manly. It's the best barbershop fragrance I know 8/10 in my book

I have to chime in on some comments below. This is indeed pure class. Yes it has some 80s vibe as its very masculine but the powdery note mixed with the excellent blending makes this a modern classic. Longevity is actually OK on my skin, I get easy 6-8 hours. Its expensive for what it is but I really really dig it. A strong recommendation for all fougere lovers out there who enjoy the likes of Chanel Platinum Egoiste for example.

A love for me and my favorite of the PC line. I first tried this and started looking for cheaper alternatives in eau sauvage and Xerjoff Fiero. Why those are nice they just don't match up to the beauty of scandal pc. I even prefer this one over the Parfum call me crazy but the light watery nuances of the PC make this much more fresh to me. The ultimate modern take on classic barbershop! 10/10 masterpiece.

Absolutely phenomenal fragrance, and a 10/10 to Roja for formulating such a perfect scent. The ONLY complaint I have is performance not being great, but for the hour it stays strong, it seriously is the most unforgettable experience my nose has ever had. I cannot wait to get my hands on more from this guy! This + Vetiver Parfum Cologne are the most stunning fragrances of all time IMO.

For someone as a youth who's always appreciated the uea sauvage kinda smell, having this feels like a culmination of nostalgia and coming to be my own person being 26. The ingredients are incredible quality. If you spot this guy less than or around that 150-60 range, pull that trigger. First Roja and very happy it was.

As the color of the bottle suggests, the lavender is the star of the show. You should enjoy Fougere fragrances to appreciate it. A bit animalic this one, highly complex , and very invigorating. That could fit Christian Bale in American Psycho.

A very classic yet modern aromatic fougere, its not dated yet it reminds you of a classy gentleman ... daniel craige in casino royal wears this probably the best one from roja's parfum cologne line, better than enigma for sure ...

This is a wonderful barbershop-style Fougere fragrance. This can be worn for any occasion. Women love this fragrance and compliment it all the time. The fragrance is undeniably masculine and very bright and refreshing.

Really nice classy mature citrus forward fougere. I get Lavender, Lemon, Oak moss and some of the spices mainly. There are many notes but most aren't noticeable to my nose.

You have to keep the bottle in your pocket when you decide to wear this one. I've been collecting perfumes for 20 years and this is the worst performance I've even have.

The comparisons to Dior Eau Sauvage & Tom Ford Italian Cypress are accurate. Thing is, Scandal is better done. Performance is beastly. I received plenty of compliments.

Fresh and clean barbershop fougere, very similar to Terre D'hermes or Bvlgari Wood Neroli Longevity is piss poor, just like all of Roja's other perfumes

I like this. Masculine, a combination of spicy red gum combined with clean laundry. Cardamom, clove, nutmeg, vetiver. It's beautiful.

OK. Alot of grousing about the price. Lotta these juices cost alot. Check out Diptyque, Ohrmonde Jane (a genius) Marley Privee. Great fragrances, but so darned expensive. Well. . . I am just a regular guy and it would seem foolish for me to gripe about the price of a Bugatti Veyron. I know that for some people $300 is $75 in relative terms. The thing about Roja Dove: This is not a snob brand, it is a hard work paid off brand. . It is my fondness for this gifted parfumer that made me dig perhaps alittle deeper for the dinero. I love watching interviews with Roja Dove. What a delightful and down-to-earth guy who loves his mother and is really a cool British guy. He can't help it if he is running in some 'fast circles'. You can pick up a decant 15mil. ($60-70) and maybe later get a bottle. The decants can bring joy to all of us. Jump in!!!! To the point: The opening on Scandal is hard for me to distinguish. It moves fast. Lemon, Lavender, Mint all in one. I think I do pick up some clove and vetiver. If you tested me without already knowing the notes--I would probably fail, except for the Lemon, Lavender and Mint! The moss gives it a nice earthy quality. Almost immediately, it settles to the skin. Two squirts on the flat of my arm in ten minutes requires a close smell. Sorry it didn't last long. Was it as good for you as it was for me? (Stop being a smartass Norm.) This particular house is so well blended, it is hard to really detect the notes. Your nose would have to be a mass spectrometer to give detailed analysis. Simply put, it is once again a delightful and elegant journey offered by Roja Dove. It is light, deft, nuanced and not really like any other--not really. As for 'smelling like my grandpa'--he would never let me that close. He was a 'back-off' kinda guy. That whole World War II generation is very masculine and 'back-off'. Get your hugs elsewhere. I've Fallen in a Niche and I can't get up!: After lots of hair-brained niches, I find a sincerity to Roja Dove. Side Rant: These crazy and ill-conceived niches where a beaver met a fig they went on a Medjool date, stopped by the bakery for a treat. Oh now tobacco, gotta have that. Just get Mancera Red and stop screwing around. These niches are fun when you 'hit'--but really it is hard to 'hit'. I have alot of 'clinkers'. The amount I have wasted on Bozo Parfum de Riguer I could have bought Roja Dove, Ohrmonde Jane, Marley Maison Christian Dior. Where's the Fun?: In sharp contrast, there is a cheap side to me. I also like Juicy Couture Dirty English 'turboed up' with Molecule 02. This is the fun side. I have a 'just plain fun' collection. I have a large 'animalic collection' just for me. I have a 'crass, indulgent, '80's collection'. Get some Playboy London(fascinating notes), some Liz Clayborne Curve(blockbuster hit). Get some Animale Animale--or just Animale. (So confusing.) It is really fun to do this. I used to hate Animale, and later on I got it--same thing happened to me with Vetiver in general. Have some fun!!! No one is gonna laugh at you for overpaying on a fragrance--or wearing a delightful, affordable one. I am aggressively trying to round up a nice spread of Roja Dove because I like his approach to fragrance. The Roja Dove approach is totally profound and took me awhile to get it. On the whole sillage and performance thing. Tell me something. . . after a good round of lovemaking do you check your watch to see how long it lasted? How close were you before major arousal occurred? Still, spray more heavily in today's weak reformulation market. With Roja Dove, it is a totally deliberate formulation. If it is weak, it was deliberate. If it reminds you of barbershop, it was deliberate. If it reminds you of a snorting wild boar in the forest, it was deliberate. That is why Roja Dove is truly a master parfumer. It will cost more. Again, get a decant and fall in love all over again.

The fragrance opens mostly with strong lemony, floral and green patchouli notes. The first impression is that of an old-school leaned to the feminine fragrance, this because of the prominent floral notes. A moment after the opening, multiple notes will come up, they can be summarized as floral (lavender, rose, Jasmin, violet), lightly spicy (basil, clove), green (patchouli, vetiver), woody, and musky. As the fragrance enters its dry-down, the musk becomes prominent adding an animalic scent which in combination with the lemon and patchouli enhances projection but also enhances that old-school/floral vibe. At this point, four combined notes are clear, floral, lemon/bergamot, patchouli/vetiver, and musk. Other notes such as rose, Jasmin, are blended giving the fragrance a floral and therefore feminine touch. The musk is enhanced by the woody notes included in the fragrance making it feel stronger. Other notes are perceived as spicy and nutty. The tonka adds a touch of sweetness but very light. The dry-down adds a soft powdery touch. Once the fragrance has reached is full dry-down, it can be summarized as a floral, citrus, green patchouli, and musky fragrance with some woody, and spicy notes. Scandal feels tilted to the feminine side, classy, elegant, old-school, mature, and pleasant. Batch reviewed: 2020 Wow Rating: 5/10. The floral, musky, and green notes are strong and impress, however, they also lean the fragrance to the feminine side. Dislike Rating: 7/10. The musk, vetiver, and patchouli with the florals and woods, create a green animalic scent that is somehow offensive. Uniqueness: 7/10. The notes in this fragrance are common but the combination is unique. Mass Appeal: 2/10. This fragrance is not a crowd-pleaser. Projection: 5/10. Moderate, about 5 feet around the wearer. Sillage: 6/10. Moderate, about 6 feet behind the wearer. Application: Four atomizations will suffice. Longevity: 5/10. About 5 hours. Seasons: Spring, summer, and fall. Day or night time. Occasions: Formal and casual. Versatility: 4/10. Relatively versatile within its own limitations (strong old-school scent). Gender: Feminine. The fragrance is advertised as masculine but the notes make it feminine. Ages: 40 and above. The old school vibe makes it ideal for mature people. Recommendation: Although the notes feel high-quality, the strong floral, green, musky, and citrus accords are evocative of female/mature fragrances. If that is what you seek, this would be a perfect buy, otherwise, you may want to pass on it. Blind-Buy: No, sample it first. Similar: Chanel Coromandel has the same old school vibe and shares many of the same notes. Summary: A floral, citrus, green patchouli, and musky fragrance with some woody, and spicy notes tilted to the feminine side, classy, elegant, old-school, mature, and pleasant.

Scandal opens with a flashback to those old Cleveland barbershops from the 80s that would greet you with all of their scents at once (and always a bit too much) as soon as you walked in the door. As it settles, Scandal seems to choose one of several directions depending on you and how much you sprayed. For some, it might get funky. For some, it might get cozy and comfy. For some...both. For me, I was happy with Scandal and felt no offense from it. I do have a weird sensitivity to some sandalwood, so there was one wearing where it was simply too much, but I think that was my fault. My brain tells me that this is a daytime fragrance, and I can definitely see it working for me during the daytime; however, I enjoyed this fragrance the most at night, after a shower, while reading or writing. Contrary to a lot of reviewers, I associate this scent with a casual demeanor. I'd rather use something like New York Intense for my formal daytime scent. That being said, there is the matter of the price tag. Would I pay $300 for a bottle that I would mostly toss on at night 4 hours before bed? No. Even if I said I would also use it for daytime errand running, I still couldn't go for a full bottle unless it was highly discounted. I would rather pick up a small decant to have on hand for those times I wish to wear it. At worst, it's a good example of a fougere that you can compare to others. However, that's just me. If you sample this and you love it and it makes your day better and you know you'll wear it often, pick it up and wear the hell out of it and don't care about the price tag. Best for: 1. After-shower relaxing with a book. A cold gin would also go well with it. 2. Spring/Fall/Early Winter daytime t-shirt/sweater and jeans errand-running.

Man, this one is tough for me. The scent profile is one of my favourites. It reminds me of my childhood, watching dad shave and splashing on some Brut or Old Spice to finish it off. I absolutely adore an aromatic fougere and this is sublime. It has an English Blazer type feel to it with the classic lemon and lavender punch to start it off and then settles down to a gentle mossy clean vibe. I genuinely considered getting this but had to put the brakes on when properly considering the overall value proposition.... Sure it's smoother and more long lasting than a $20 bottle of similar scent profile colognes from the 80's, but I simply can't spend $479AUD for this... It's a shame though because I do love it. I would happily drop $100-$150 on this, which as others have pointed out, still might be too much for this. Definitely missed the mark on this one Roja. Damn I love it though!

This scent is pure nostalgia for me. I’m mid 30’s, so I’m not really a “1980’s” kid (despite being alive for most of it), but I do consciously remember some of the 80’s, and this scent is it. Lol. I say that with all the love in the world. A lot of 80’s stuff has started to come back, as trends tend to do, so I actually think you can easily pull this off in the right downtown/night out, blazer on setting. Definitely has that Wall Street, yuppie, hedge fund tycoon vibe. I also find this to have a modern pinch, as well. I find the scent to be very smooth for being so woodsy/piney, which is great. But my main gripe is just the price. I could just never spend $300-$400 on this. There are other similar scents out there that can get the job done for 70% less. But again, I do think the fragrance is great.

All class. Perfectly suited for formal, well dressed situations. This is a barbershop style scent, modernised and uplifted to top quality. Soapy, citrusy, rich, sophisticated, manly, adult, clean man scent. You'll never offend anyone who isn't an anti-barber. If you dress up/suit up, you'll own the room. This is a boss/leader scent imo. I'm sad to say i don't wear this often enough. It's a fantastic scent and i love it. But i Never wear a suit (or any kind of formal attire). This does works with a t-shirt and jeans if you're that kind of dude. I wear it sometimes, but mostly, i feel underdressed for it. Personal score 9/10. I owned a 100ml bottle, and i don't for an instant regret owning it. But sold it for space for more worn fragrances.

Really nice spicy fresh old school scent, wouldn’t necessarily say as barbershop as Eau Sauvage or Fiero, more subtle and cologne like, “perfect gentleman” type of scent with this mossy spicy undertone that adds this layer of “skank” where the Scandal comes in. Either love or hate and I really love the way it smells but it’s weak as shit, i only get abt 2-3 hours max and not much more with the Parfum. If you love the scent then get it there’s deals to be found and can’t say the Parfum is different enough to check out unless you REALLY love that dry down and want that for a bit longer
