After trying A Midsummer Dream in Harrods and loving it, the sales assistant thought I might like this too. He wasnt wrong. "3" Is like the rougher, less mannerly but still primally attractive brother of A Midsummer Dream. Similar ingredients but blended differently. The cardamom hops out here, like a handful of crushed pods mixed with a tingly citrus, aromatic lavender and a dry, animalic cumin and civet. This is the brutish aspect to the composition. It gives it a more feral, masculine quality. The cardamom here smells more foody, more raw. At times it smells like a spicy curry. The sweetness develops over time, with cinnamon, lavender and vanilla taming the hard edges.

I agree with the previous reviewer who described this as an luxurious shaving soap. It has a dated quality to it. I don't find it to be challenging but I don't get a BO vibe with cumin like others sometimes do. It opens very fresh, aromatic, and natural. I find a similar vibe to Channel's PM EDT version. It dries down to slightly floral, musky, and slightly woody base. There's a maturity here, I see this being worn my a man in his 40s-50s. I don't see this having a wide audience, but if you like classic men's fragrances this may be for you. This a like but not a love for me...

Strong lavender body. Semi sweet vanilla and cinnamon nuance. Strong, fresh, bitter lemon in the overtone. Geranium and cardamom base, over cumin, vetiver, oakmoss, ambergris and a touch of civet in the undertone. Better on paper than on skin. Stuffy. Objectively good, but my personal taste leans toward a 😐 hard meh. It's just not a practical or very good wear.

The review below is great and very accurate. I’d describe it as a luxurious, very spicy (cardamom, cumin) shaving soap with a lemon highlight and animalic undertone. I think the spice can overwhelm some as it’s a projection monster. Spray with caution. 7 out of 10 with great performance. Definitely signature scent worthy for a bold man.
