Semi-Bespoke No. 7

Just received a decant of this from Surrender to Chance last night. First impression is that this smells like a local Pho restaurant that I frequent on cold days. Odd, I know, but stick with me here.... - First Impression: This is strongly fronted by an industrial cleaner smell. I can't put my finger on which exactly but having lived overseas and frequenting many international establishments, this is a familiar, clean smell that I also get when I walk into my local Pho establishment (Its the smell of newly mopped floors). - Second Impression: There is a great deal of basil in the composition. This is the smell of freshly cut/torn basil, as the Pho location serves it in sprigs you tear of the stalk. - Third Impression: Disappointment. While I love Pho, I don't particularly like walking around smelling like it. In summary, I don't get the typical notes identified in the pyramid above, neither the Civet nor Patchouli but think what I am picking up is a combination of the Incense and Castoreum (since I get a slightly similar vibe to Caron's Yatagan). With the scent pyramid I was expecting something more along the lines of Diaghilev or Roja but got neither. Overall, I'm glad I tried this, but even more so I didn't buy a full bottle.

This is the most outrageous, animalic, sensual, sexual, soft leathery shocker you have EVER smelt. It is the smell of YOU at your BEST. Your confidence, your assuredness, your aspiration. This is the most mindblowing juice, so complex and full bodied. The only warning is GO EASY because too much and it smells unclean but just a small amount and you will feel so exhalted it is like your life suddenly falls in to place. This is a lifechanging perfume. Breathtaking. The stuff of dreams. The opening orange blossom gives way to something so complex I cannot put it in to words, but be assured it is the ultimate most sensual and erotic and refined perfume you will ever, ever smell EVER. This is IT.
