Vetiver Pour Homme Parfum Cologne

I have tried and tried, and I just don't like Vetiver. Then. . . I decided to go to the mythological genius, and just plain gifted---Roja Dove. It is almost as if Roja Dove spent so many years listening, seeing, feeling-- and put it all in parfum compositons!!!! Roja Dove Pour Homme Vetiver Cologne is different. It is brighter from maybe citrus, and has some nice funky Oakmoss that still allows the scent to be clear and clean. Not overly sweet, not overly wet-root with dirt. Not heavy handed with the nutmeg. I don't like vetiver that is like some kind of Malevolent Spicecake or Toilet Moth Cake. Or some sleazy guy in a petroleum product sportcoat with his shirt unbuttoned talking a mile a minute. Oh wait! That's my alter ego. Right. . shat up. Lots of notes, I will not kid you that I can detect even a fraction of them. It takes years, and you've got to have talent. Aside: Look. . . . our human noses are just not that great compared to dogs, pigs, cats. Neither is our hearing as acute. Some humans have more acute senses then others. I really believe that-- just as I believe some people are more sensitive. OK. . . nice talk. Back to It: Roja Dove Vetiver is truly 3-D --deep, beautiful--like that dreamy footage of the eye of a hurricane. It has multiple hues, like the New Mexico light in the morning. Roja Dove Vetiver is complex, yet very unabashedly fun and straightforward. It is confident, playful. What a wonderful artist, and technically superb talent --Raja Dove. Yeah. . . just pay. Or decant then buy. Get Roja Dove in any configuration where you need a 'sort out'. I am absolutely Ga-Ga over Roja Dove. Sometimes there is mission creep and you've got to 'Grab the Thistle' as the Scots, Irish, and English say. You forget what is what. Let the top pros and genius artists help you find your way. What happened next: All the circuits, micro-switches, ganglion, neurons and a few trash cans were stirred around. SUDDENLY--I got it!!! I cracked open my Guerlain Vetiver which was my first. It is just wonderful and maybe not as complex, or deep. It is so good. I just love Guerlain Patchouli Absolut so I knew it would make awesome Vetiver. Darn. . . I so love Guerlain. They know what the heck they are doing!! Somehow, it was like smelling it with renewed senses. Then, I hit the Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. It is so good. Different approach that I was unable to figure out until I had my lazer sight on my nose re-calibrated; re-calibrated with the superb, exquisite Roja Dove. Now. . . . I know. Now. . . I can play carefree in the world of Vetiver!!! The point: if you are confused about Vetiver you must 'go to the mountain' The Roja Dove pour Homme Vetiver. From now on, I will be using the works of a true genius, Roja Dove, to help me grasp the full spectrum. This helps me love greatly all the others. This technique will help me with other fragrances. Can anybody help me understand Zadig & Voltaire 'This is Her'? I am just starting to grow a clue. Yep. Nuf said.

Enjoying the cologne version more than the EDP. Lasts longer, is clearly there several hours after spraying (edp was gone within 15-20 min, a skin scent), development of this fragrance is very noticeable. An expensive fragrance that i can really enjoy. Dry, long-lasting, elegant and unabashedly masculine. For me, this is way better than guerlain's vetiver (sour, rough-edged, linear, rolling-in-a-wet-haystack effect), Creed's original vetiver (i don't get this fragrance, which to my nose is nothing but a 250+ eur soap, which i bought new full-price and sold 90% full two weeks later), more complex and interesting than TF grey vetiver (which is perhaps the only worthy alternative to roja for me - not nearly as complex or sophisticated as Roja's, but is a vetiver scent in its own right nonetheless, a cheaper and reliable option if you enjoy the clean white-shirt business-style vetiver). I'm yet to try nishane's sultan vetiver and miller harris's vetiver insolent to see whether either of them will make the cut of my all-time favorite vetiver fragrances. Roja's only true downside is the price, 300 eur is steep. But i'd rather get myself one of 300+eur roja scents once in three months, than buy loads of underperforming, underwhelming or ubiquitous clones.

It is close to Grey Vetiver edp. Grey Vetiver edp is great, but this is a few notches better. If you love Grey Vetiver, and can easily afford this, I think its worth it. I wore Grey Vetiver edp today, and then my bottle of Roja Dove came in. So I can tell some differences. Its richer and fuller, you do get some florals, here, non with Tom Ford. The citrus is slightly more with Grey Vetiver. Vetiver Cologne has freshness, but its warmer, than Grey Vetiver. This has depth and sophistication. The pepers and spices give complexity, and vibrancy, as well as the citruses. This is also like Diptyque Vetyverio edt. It is a vetiver fragrance with rose and similar spices. I think this and Alysium Cologne have gotten some knocks. I think because they remind us of other fragrances. These take time to discover. I would say that about Alysium and Vetiver Cologne. They are actually great, and worth the price. I just got my Gov stimulus check for Covid-19, so I purchased this and Alysium Cologne, to go with my Enigma Cologne. I like this Cologne line a lot. I think the Enigma Cologne is better than the extrait perfume. Rating: 8.25/10 God bless. John 3:16

I thoroughly enjoyed taking this one for a spin and wholeheartedly agree with Skywarp & gedlive; very much in the vein of TF Grey Vetiver with a soupçon of the dryer Guerlain Vetiver but distinctly niche and beautifully blended by Roja Dove. As usual with Roja compositions, there’s a whole host of notes in there, unlike most Vetiver compositions but it certainly works for me, especially with his signature Oakmoss in the backbone. I got moderate longevity I suppose; 5-6 hours, although the projection became pretty close after the two hour mark but it did have a pretty impressive sillage on my skin which was very pleasant. As has been said previously, owning both TF Grey Vetiver EDT & EDP in my Vetiver arsenal, I’m not sure I’d be prepared to pay full retail price for it personally but if you are looking for a similar style to TF GV but need a bit “more” then you could do a lot worse than this. I personally prefer my vetivers on the weightier side but then again, I would say that this is a very versatile vetiver indeed.

Slowpainhauer, for a while my opinion was similar to yours, but today it is a house that is probably in my top 5 easily. There are many things to criticize Roja: Lack of originality? a house of expensive clones? Too high pricing policy? Is Roja Dove really the house perfumer? Is he really a perfumer? They are all questions subject to long debates where everyone can have their opinion, and that is fine. But there is something that cannot be denied, and that is that although almost all of their fragrances are reinterpretations of other existing fragrances, their compositions have a superior quality in their raw materials and textures. I think that in the end the price in many cases ends up being good, and Vetiver Parfum Cologne is an example of this since it surpasses other similar vetiver fragrances with which they are usually compared, such as Gray Vetiver by Tom Ford. There can be hatred for many reasons, but not recognizing the quality of its fragrances would be a mistake. Greetings from Buenos Aires.

The best of the “clean” Vetivers imo. It’s kinda like Grey Vetiver (in its style) but fresher, more rich and complex and overall just a lot better in every way. People are always going to be upset with high prices on a Vetiver scent because one Vetiver scent is always going to be compared to others (many of which are much cheaper), but I do think this stuff stands head and shoulders above Grey Vetiver and Guerlain Vetiver personally. The price at retail is obviously very high (too high, let’s be honest), but if you shop around you can get it for like £170 or so (or less, I’ve seen them go around £100 or so second hand), which though still expensive is not crazy unreasonable if you’re a real Vetiver lover. The quality is clearly there, and the performance is decent too - I can’t see what not to like here really. People can knock Roja all they want, but you can’t deny this is a very very well made Vetiver scent. Best of the Parfum Cologne range alongside Enigma imo. 🙌🏻

I have been searching for a Vetiver scent for a long while. I own Creed Original Vetiver (2014), and also tried the 2018 version (which I preferred over the 2014). I also tried Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver, and some other Vetivers out there, but nothing managed to satisfy me. I wanted something that smelled clean, fresh, classy, but also very luxurious. I also didn’t want it to have any sharp notes. This right here is an exceptional fragrance in my opinion. The best Vetiver fragrance I have ever tried. It opens with invigorating citruses, and then quickly dries down to a more woody and Vetivery scent. As someone who is into sports cars, the dry down actually reminds me of the smell of tire rubber, but in a good way! It’s not a very long lasting fragrance at all, so that definitely should be taken into consideration when purchasing this fragrance. Exceptional, 9/10

Opens with a sublime blend of citruses and aromatic herbs and spices. Quickly, a clean and soapy floral accord seizes the heart. The flowers are very transparent, have volume and are well balanced by earthy notes. Although I am not a lover of sustained floral notes, I was very surprised by this effect and greatly enjoyed it. Some manner of vervein or litsea cubeba lends a long lasting citric note well into the dry down of the fragrance, which I thought was a good touch. Let's talk about the obvious: this fragrance clearly draws from Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver, which itself is a cleaned up and inspired version of Guerlain's Vetiver. Vetiver Parfum Cologne is a dressed up version of Grey Vetiver, but with some extra artistic flair, bells and whistles which bring volume and complexity and are appreciated.

Brighter, fresher, more complex, more interesting, longer lasting, equally as wearable, and quite a bit more versatile than TF Grey Vetiver, which to me is all business all the time. A vetiver that could suit those who aren’t fans of vetiver but also for the aficionados who want an easy wear in their collection they can still appreciate. A true signature scent contender that can be worn any time and anywhere without fear of offense. An absolute love of mine. I actually like this better than the Parfum, FWIW, with its extra freshness and non-intrusive wearability. The Parfum also has a note in the opening that I couldn’t identify that smells out of place to me, though it does die down after a half hour or so. Not to mention the price, but I’d still pick the PC if price were equal.

I had COVID 6 months ago, and my sense of smell is only 30% back. I have not been able to enjoy my large niche collection for a long time, but that's okay. With a weakened sense of smell, this Vetiver by Roja, I can smell better than many. So it does have strong penitrating notes. I have a review here from 2 years ago when first purchased. I am still descovering the beauty and complexity of this fragrance... I love the earthiness, greeness of the fragrance. The spices are a nice touch, it is mossy. I also love Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver, this is sweeter, and has nice floral nuances. The florals are in the background and don't clash with the earthy Vetiver and spices theme.

Great vetiver. Green like the beautiful bottle. I think Roja is a bit overrated and this does bear some similarly maybe with grey vetiver which is a great versatile fragrance. The difference is that the vetiver used here smells MILES better than TF Gv. It's like running through a field of real vetiver. The oakmoss used here is also really great. Earthy pungent (but not off-putting) and on the drydown smells almost like green smoke from the vetiver and oakmoss. This is great reference fragrance, a great chypre plant fragrance, and just a great fragrance all around. I feel like Tarzan wearing this juice! 🦧

2024 bottle reviewed. Vetiver was launched in 2019. Wonderful smoky citrus opening. As the citrus fades, subtle florals smooth the vetiver and woody notes. Slightly spicy. In time this changes to slightly leathery dry cedar and vetiver. I do however wish the citrus and florals would last longer. Quality- excellent 5/5 Unisex- leans masculine Performance- very good ;Moderate longevity for this type of fragrance. 4/5 Overall a clean, high quality, understated and very classy Vetiver fragrance. 8.5/10

Pure class at its finest despite the price of the fragrance. The fragrance is fresh, clean, and somewhat earthy. The most suitable scent for the office. I actually prefer this over the pure parfum concentration because this is both fresh and vetiver unlike the pure parfum which is mostly vetiver over freshness in my opinion, even though the freshness does not last as long as Elysium parfum cologne. The fragrance still manages to give me a boost of energy and a feeling of refinement.🌲

I don't agree with the consensus of other comments describing a lack of performance with this fragrance. This is very much an all-day scent with strong projection for the first 4-5 hours and on clothes it will remain detectable for a few days. It is a much better performer than its peers like Creed's Original Vetiver and some of Roja's other creations such as Elysium. Masculine blend of a smoky vetiver with a lot of spice and a fresh sparkle at the top from the bergamot and lemon.

Love at first spray its so refined and bougie. You can tell they used the finest ingredients for this Performance is on par with the Roja name: long lasting, beautiful cloud and sillage Its very close to the Tom Ford GV parfum. If you have a bit of extra cash laying around get this one, if you want something a bit more allowance friendly, get the tom ford. Summary: Close to the Tom Ford, more expensive, stronger performance

I am a huge fan of all things vetiver and for me Vetiver Pour Homme Parfum Cologne is one of the best. Upon first spray the opening is dirty earthy vetiver very close to Terre d'Hermes Intense Vetiver. After a couple hours it tones down and the citruses make themselves known similar in fragrance to Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. For me this fragrance a better more refined example that would be great year around in any setting.

Super solid, textbook masculine vetiver cologne that packs a nice citrus zing before drying down to a smoky spicy classic smell. I was complimented 7 hours into wearing it but it’s kinda undetectable to me past maybe the second hour, personally I think this is better than Grey Vetiver as that one is just a bit too “clean” but not as much as the wonderfully spicy tobacco-vetiver goodness that is the Guerlain

Roja Vetiver Parfum Cologne is a fragrance I can always rely on, I know exactly what I am getting when wearing this fragrance. Masculine, fresh, deep and sophisticated. This is so versatile if the wearer is rather familiar with masculine scents, I do place this in the more older age group in regards to who I imagine wearing this. Nice perfomance for a fresher take on vetiver. Can never go wrong with it. :)

Maybe I'm getting old, but I love this stuff. Its cologne without being cologne. I want to smell nice, not like some cheap syrup that's supposed to drop panties and smells like something my sister wore back in the 90s. I'm thinking I'm going to have to get a bottle of this very soon as a regular wear. Smooth and to the point. Not complex, but so well done and just the right amount of smokiness.

This may be expensive and slightly similar to TFGV but this is more refined than TFGV every was. Glad I have this in my wardrobe. This is a fantastic fresh, clean, uplifting fragrance. Performance is perfectly moderate in all areas. The vetiver is from start to finish, Roja definetly knows how to create masterpieces. The base is absolutely amazing.

Fantastic scent! I have the Parfum version and they are different on two counts: Yes, the opening of this one is a bit like the parfum version but much lighter but in a very good way. It morphes into something different within an hour. The Vetiver parfum has a heavy, heeded start and longevity, which is also love.

In a word, not my style. Too much pepper. Stiff and classic perfumery, like vetiver scented makeup. More suited to an older, mature man, if anyone. Lots of better options, even considering the competitive pricing. Doesn't have the effervescent pop of a Creed vetiver or the freshness of an Eight & Bob. Meh overall.

Dior Homme Cologne meets Grey Vetiver meets Terre d'Hermes. A blast of fresh realistic citrus falls gently into a bed of creamy smooth vetiver and distant earthy fruit rinds. Not exactly what one would call a unique scent, but the quality is undeniable. Smells incredible, but the performance is so-so.

Elysium is a beachy summer fruity bit lighter vetiver and this one is a better spring temperate to slight cold weather vetiver because its stronger, you get a deep green vetiver and the soil beneath it. Its still fresh and sweet though especially in the beginning when the citrus is strong

smells just amazing, clean, earthy and citrusy vetiver. great for the high heat and overall just versatile at all times no matter the setting, for the mature type of man. it could be unisex but traditionally i find vetiver a maschuline note that exudes masculine confidence.

10ml decant and I'm sold my boy. More mature grassy vetiver in here. Stops just short of being "old man-ish" not for youngins. Too expensive in my opinion. Atomizer is garbage. Super duper fine mist that clouds immediately upon exit. My least favorite style atomizer.

Wow. Noticed most of the PC/EDP line was missing from Roja’s site. Contacted support and they confirmed that the entire Scandal, Danger, and Vetiver lines have been discontinued. :’(

Reminds me of grey Vetiver with less zesty grapefruit, and that’s what I actually hated about grey vetiver so glad it’s not there as much

Note that the Parfum Cologne has now been renamed Eau de Parfum according to an email response from Roja Customer Services on 4 Dec 2025. They wrote: "Rest assured that the scent and the formulation remain the same and only the name has been changed." This renaming decision somewhat irritated me because the Parfum Cologne replaced the discontinued *original* Eau de Parfum (not currently listed on fragrantica.com) that was my favourite scent of all time, being absolutely glorious and mood-altering to an extent that no other scent has ever achieved on me, so I was very disappointed to learn of its demise in late 2019. I was encouraged by reviewer descriptions of the Parfum Cologne as well as information from Nadia at Roja Parfums in December 2019, who wrote: "With regards to the Parfum Colognes, Roja wanted to create fragrances that had the longevity of an Eau De Parfum but had the enlivened freshness of a Cologne. Roja has emphasised certain facets such as Aromatic / Floral / Citrus in the Parfum Colognes to give them that longer freshness." After wearing and comparing the original Eau de Parfum against the Parfum Cologne multiple times, to my nose the Eau de Parfum was richer, warmer and more opulent, with far better strength and longevity. From a single spray of EDP, I could easily smell it on myself for many hours and often the next day too. In order to achieve a similar initial effect from the PC, I need three sprays. I can still smell it six hours later but it is really quite subtle at that point. However, I have been surprised to find that even after sixteen hours there can still be a beautiful but extremely subtle hint of it remaining. Therefore the PC does seem to have the intended "enlivened freshness of a Cologne" and I found myself more impressed by it with each wear. Thankfully the essential character of the fragrance has been retained, despite it not being as strong overall. For people with a more sensitive nose than myself this could be an advantage, as they can use a single spray for a subtle effect. I do not really understand why an EDP that was lauded as the ultimate expression of vetiver by some reviewers was discontinued, but Roja Dove was quoted as saying that sales of the Vetiver were not of the same volume as some other scents within his brand. I read on Fragrantica that the Parfum Colognes were created to suit younger fans of the brand, while the majority of his customers are in their thirties. I am two decades older than that. The Parfume Cologne is an excellent scent, although I think many people will find its projection weak. If you enjoy vetiver scents, or even just think you might, this is worth sampling. It has a style and elegance that I find lacking in many modern scents. It seems that I may have to move on to the very expensive Parfum version to satisfy my longing for the original EDP.

I am not a huge Roja fan generally speaking, but this scent is among the Rojas I like. The fast disappearing opening is nice and citrusy & highlighted by a very realistic lemon. The heart notes are transitory and are quickly enveloped by the emerging base notes. The vetiver here is, at least to my nose, exceptionally high quality smelling. I agree with other reviewers noting a similarly to Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, but this scent is of palpably higher quality. The vetiver is earthy and grassy green. It occasionally gives off a trace of the rubbery new automobile tire smell that some vetivers can produce, but only in the very beginning of the base notes. Thankfully, this discordant note is nearly completely smoothed away by the roses and other florals that remain from the heart notes. In the deep dry down, there is noticeable oak moss and a bit of bitter green galbanum followed by a spicy cedar that lingers for a considerable time, but always, the vetiver is in the front center once it emerges. I find this fragrance to be one of the best blended vetivers I have experienced. It is rather linear after the fleeting opening. I think the scent is essentially unisex, but I suspect many folks would say that it leans masculine. I would certainly wear it to the office, indeed, I have done so many times. I tend to use this scent in the spring, summer and autumn during the day. The presentation is nice, if unspectacular, but the atomizer is poor--it puffs out faint, diffuse clouds, wastes juice and demands lots of sprays if the wearer wants to have any projection or significant longevity. Minor gripes aside, I must say that this is a lovely vetiver composition. This fragrance is, however, ultimately just a "like" for me. There are many fragrances out there that are nearly as good for much, much lower prices like Guerlain Vetiver, the aforementioned Grey Vetiver and the excellent Bentley Beyond Collection Wild Vetiver, among many others. At similar prices, there are, in my opinion, better vetiver scents available like Bortnikoff's Vetiver Nocturne, Amoroud's Lunar Vetiver and, particularly, Nishane's Sultan Vetiver. So, unless you, like me, collect vetiver scents, it is hard to recommended Roja Vetiver Perfume Cologne, especially considering the very high price asked. This scent is very good, but it really should be exceptional. Unfortunately, it just isn't that special.

The parfum version of this is one of my top 5 frags and I’m quite familiar with it, so was intrigued by this pc version and grabbed a decant. Testing arm by arm with the parfum, they definitely have a lot of overlap and much like the parfum version (despite what other users say) is different than other vetivers on the market in its herbal aspects making it somewhat powdery clean vetiver and green herbs, so it is also true here with the pc. The differences seem to lay in concentration of different notes then rather than any different types and so the pc is as you might think, lighter and brighter. The parfum version is quite rich in its herbal aspect and the vetiver is also more prominent and earthy. It feels like a lot more of those oils went into that composition. The pc on the other hand has more citrus tone to it, it feels colder and fresh grassier with an almost rhubarb like aspect. While I think the parfum version is the better fragrance the pc version is a good representation of the same thing just lighter and fresher, and bit less longer lasting. I might pick up a bottle, I think it might be nice to use the pc liberally or more in summer and save the parfum for more special times. Edit: I also compared it to Grey Vetiver edp side by side. A lot of overlap obviously given they are both citrus-vetiver focused, but much like the parfum version other aspects present on skin and its an obvious step up in quality from the TF, which it should be given the price difference. Grey Vetiver has a more metallic clean citrus take on vetiver almost whereas the Roja goes more green and herbal (esp. in the parfum as mentioned earlier which also goes earthy and somewhat hay like).

It's fine, but nothing you haven't smelled before. It's best feature is its development - it opens very citrusy like most of the parfum colognes, before drying down into an in-between phase where the juiciness has gone but some freshness remains, then dries further into quite a dry a slightly smoky vetiver base. The similarity to Grey Vetiver lies in the in-between phase. I can't help but feel disappointed by this offering by Roja. I was excited for a niche upgrade to fresh vetiver fragrances, with added complexity, quality and performance. Most of the listed notes are indiscernible - citrus and vetiver is what you get. The performance is poor. You can tell that the quality is there, but with such a high-quality designer alternative from Tom Ford, the difference becomes very small indeed. There are superior alternatives to this fragrance no matter which angle you look at it. If you like the citrusy vetiver opening, something like Elysium is much more interesting and unique. If you like the clean vetiver mid, Grey Vetiver smells as good and lasts much longer in that state. If you like the smokey dry drydown, something like Sycamore or even Encre Noir fits the bill. If you like vetiver you will like this fragrance, but you probably won't love it. Because if you like vetiver, it doesn't stand up to established favourites. I like it, but it's not bottle worthy. Considering the price, I'm indifferent. (dislike/indifferen/like, but not BW/like a lot, potentially BW/love, definitely BW/masterpiece)

I am going to start off by saying I am not a vetiver fan in general. Something about it is just too harsh for my liking and almost too bold and heavy. I saw the beautiful green bottle and knew I needed to try it regardless. Roja has a proven track record and I knew this "cologne" edition would be a bit lighter than the parfum edition. The parfum editions are simply just, "all business and no play." They are so heavy and strong, they are tough to wear. Anyways, this stuff starts out with a lively citrus and lemon with a steep woody backbone. It's like a shot of lemon with a smokey aftertaste. After about 10 minutes the smoke and woods really starts to take over with the lemon sticking around without letting go. This stuff is crazy smokey and hardcore vetiver which I normally do not like, however, the citrus and lemon help this fragrance so much. It gives this vetiver another dimension. It takes this fragrance from linear to a developing journey. I think the reason I like this so much is the fact that this fragrance changes so much from beginning to end. It starts out very citrusy and woodsy, transforms into a smokey, vetiver beast with a citrus background, and then finishes with a citrus-woody-musky drydown. The drydown is very tame to how it starts out, but it stays masculine and it stays warm. I dislike vetiver but I love the way this is done.

This is not exactly like Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. They are in the same scent profile wheelhouse, along with Guerlain Vetiver, but are different enough. I'm wearing both right now to compare. Roja Vetiver Parfum Cologne seems to manifest more of the earthy, green, and bitter mossy accords, whereas Grey Vetiver manifests the orange blossom and slight sweetness more. Grey Vetiver seems a bit more sharp and bracing. And, smelling the application point directly, something seems slightly putrid in Roja Vetiver Parfum Cologne. But just slightly. Maybe its somewhere among the celery seeds, galbanum, caraway/cumin, or oakmoss notes, or the way they combine. But just a guess. It doesn't ruin the overall scent in the air though. I tried a sample of Roja Vetiver a few years ago that seems different than this new bottle I have. It seems my impression of it then was as a beautiful variation of the Tom Ford/Guerlain Vetiver profile. It may have been the Parfums version of the Roja Vetiver, but I think I liked it more than this. It's too early for a conclusive judgement, but I'm liking the Grey Vetiver a bit more at this point.

This is a solid fragrance, despite the Parfum Cologne concentration, at first. It showcases vetiver to great effect. The combination of the bitter galbanum and vetiver give rise to a rubber accord that can only be described as hypnotic. There are citruses in the opening that support the star, vetiver very well. I thought it smelled like grapefruit, but was surprised to see it not listed on fragrantica. In the mid, the woody aspects, including the beautiful cedar express themselves. But at this point, the scent begins to weaken. This is a few hours after the first application. It fades to a faint cedar in the drydown, still pleasant and beautiful, but very weak at this point. This is the sole weakness of this fragrance, because it is a complex, masculine, well-constructed scent except for the watered-down Parfum Cologne experience.

I havebto different opiniones about this perfume. In one hand It is nice, very weareable and very natural, but on the other hand the performance on my skin is bad, more when It costs 300€, and It doent offer anything new that you cant find in grey vetiver by Tom Ford for half price or un vetiver by guerlain for a sixth part of the price. So, i think that It really doesnt worth the price. If you dont mundo paying 250€ more for something that you can find for 50€ is ok... Buy just try both, i have made It, one perfume on each hand and you Will see... A very good option for a third parte of the price but i would never spend 300€ on It. Old school chypre. Woody vetiver & citruses dominate Vetiver Pour Homme Cologne (VPHC). As it dries down, oakmoss & cedar come out, smelling slightly like woody patchouli. The resultant smell is woody, citrusy, grassy, a bit sharp, & barbershopy. VPHC is what one would call an "old man fragrance". It is molded after the 70s & 80s colognes: sharp woody zest. However, that doesn't make it unwearable in this time and age. Yes, it is in the vein of Guerlain Vetiver (GV) but it is not an exact clone. However, given the price, the ultimate classic that is GV is the better option if you are torn between the 2. The tobacco note in GV gives it such a charming masculine character. VPHC is a masculine, mature, all seasons wear. "Like"

A very citrusy, clean and spicy vetiver. Beautiful scent. I'd swear there were some ginger in it, but no such note appears anywhere. Light earthyness and fresh clean vetiver fragrance of Very high quality. Sillage is strong for the first 2 hours and then calms down to about a foot. Lasts about 6 hours. All as a Cologne should. Anyone complaining about longevity is either a troll, or has no idea what a "Cologne" is (or both). Keywords for me is: Light, bright, fresh, citrusy, spicy, earthy and clean. Personal score: 9/10. Perfect for slightly cooler summer days and spring/fall time. I love it for rainy summer days, to give the light, fresh, and bright impact on an otherwise humid, dense day.

A bright refreshing, yet subtle, vetiver fragrance perfect for casual weekend days running errands or a daily office scent. Nice green, slightly sweet vetiver, nothing earthy or dry, with some well blended woods, citrus & a touch of jasmine hiding in the background to give it some extra interest. If you're in search of a vetiver specific fragrance to add to your collection you couldn't go wrong with Roja's Vetiver, it's a fantastic scent, however if you already have other fragrances like TF Grey Vetiver, Guerlain Vetiver, etc. then this one may be a little redundant. Performance is average at around 6-7 hours with a light projection.

A quite dry and green vetiver. Vetiver is one of my favorite notes. The only unpleasant thing about this fragrance is that it goes through a rubber-tire stage at the beginning. That fades after about an hour, but I prefer other vetivers (such as Vetyverio by Diptyque, French Lover by Frederic Malle) to this one. UPDATE: I did not get the rubber accord on the second wearing. Perhaps this scent is more promising than I thought. Bears further testing. UPDATE: 03/28/2021 I like this now, after wearing it for two days. I would consider purchasing. I love vetivers.

This is my favorite Roja fragrance. I think he does a really nice job freshening up the dirty smoky feel a vetiver, which I’m not sure if I even like vetiver in general. I do like this one. I have worn it a couple of times through a sample, I’m just not sure if I love it enough to commit the money for a full bottle. This one is very serious like it is a man’s cologne. You wear this when you want to be a man. It’s fresh yet smoky at the same time which is a little polarizing and for me I don’t know if I can pull the trigger on a full bottle.

This is a very strong mixture of earthy/ green notes. The mixture of vetiver and woods is nice. I think this might actually be off-putting for some people due to the darkness of the notes. It isn't like an oud/amber darkness. It is more of a damp/woody darkness you get in an early morning forest. And that is kind of the idea I get when I smell this. It is very nice. It does not smell directly like a damp forest, but it gives you an earthy/vetiver that is very nice. The citrus brightens he fragrance and I love it. Definitely try this.

I can see why Roja says he wants to be remembered for this one. It opens up slightly bright with some lemon. There's a little mintyness in there too. As it dries down, it gets powdery. After a while, it gets slightly shaper, airy and green again. Its got some pepper at this point too. Super clean and professional smelling perfume that would be great for an office fragrance. Has good longevity and a medium projection on me. Really like this stuff.

I'll admit to not being a big fan of vetiver, but this one surprised me. It's a very clean, dry, classy vetiver with a huge dose of lemon that eventually calms down. I can see this working well as a daytime office scent, or an evening out black-tie affair. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 5/10 Price/Performance Ratio: 5/10

Sampled this and I definitely understand the Grey Vetiver comparisons. They’re almost identical so if you have TF you definitely don’t need this unless you’re just a collector. Its a good fragrance to me but not one I’d get a full bottle of. 6/10

ELEGANT EARTH Beautiful citrus opening that slowly morphs into a rich, smokey, earthy dry down. This version, the Cologne, is better for daytime. If you need/want a masterful vetiver, look no further.

This is a light and smooth aromatic fragrance that lasts for about 2 hours, which is nothing for the premium you're paying, don't get me wrong, but Grey Vetiver is much better and also cheaper.

Not bad but not something I would spend more then 100$ for and even then I don't see spending money on this! 4/10 just for the quality!

Straightforward Vetiver frag. Despite the sea of notes listed it's really not very complex. Performance is borderline terrible.
