The Taj Mahal’s Eternal Love

This is my favourite of the Romea line and I tried them all. A delightful fruity floral, not totally original or groundbreaking but lovely and easy to wear anytime really, I bought the FB.

Opened very fruity and sweet, dominated by loads of melon and peaches, almost resembling a fruity shampoo. To make this more interesting the perfumer decided to add sea notes which here simply does not work. The "sea note" together with magnolia makes this rather putrid and gross. It actually reminds me a bit of ELDOS "Secretions Magnetifiques". It basically smells like algae and dead fish covered with a fruit shampoo. I did not get any flowers until the drydown, where I was approached by a shy jasmine. The gross heart part has calmed down, though I still get whiffs of it. The composition has a very shy silage and moderate longevity.

An enjojable floral fruity composition with a slightly aquatic tendency. But it is not dominant aquatic that I would it classify as an aquatic Perfume like Davidoff Cool Water Women. The Lotus is very prominent in my opinion. The Seawater and the Melon is obvious detectable. It is a very descreet Fragrance. Wearable for every Day for example at work. But it is expensive. There are cheaper perfumes of this kind of Fragrance. But it is nothing special and the costs is therefore not justified.

Although Roméa D'Améor LES GRANDES AMOURS DU TAJ MAHAL is supposed to feature Lotus Bleu (translated as Taj Mahal water lily), what I smell smacks more of a peony frag. It may be that both water lily and peony are present in this composition, but the latter certainly dominates and makes this a somewhat humdrum floral fragrance to my nose. So many peony frags, so little desire to wear any of them! Désolée. 3.29.11

I guess it's quite expensive perfume, at least in my country it costs more than 300$. I catch a smell of a ripe melon, raspberry and blackcurrant in gentle flowers. I use it for daytime and in the summertime, because it's light and comfortable as a natural smell of a fresh beautiful female body. The smell is quite good, espessialy if you like melon in perfume.
