Laki EDP (for Women)

Laki is the phonetical transcription of "Lucky", and in Italy it's common to use as a talisman to bring good luck a little horn made of coral (its origins should date back to the ancient Romans, nowadays it's pretty popular in Naples and the South of Italy). Nothing futuristic or ambiguous then, extremely traditional instead! :) P.S. if you google "corno portafortuna" you'll see what I mean

I've tested it in a store and following my nose I thought of different notes: orange blossom + little tiny bit of spices. It's not bad, it reminds me of the traditional Acqua di Zagara, so common in the South of Italy. If we weren't at the end of summer, I would have bought it, but now I'm starting to look for a warm scent for fall...

Just got this in a swap and am impressed so far 4 hrs into wearing it its still going strong, its winter time here and it seems ideal for this season. I detect lots of spicy musky rose, it really reminds me of my Lancome Magnifique!

My first impression that I'd say it's summery, I don't find anything heavy or Femme Fatale here. There's some spicyness, but not very much to my nose. Is there such a thing as "sweet flowers"? Sweet rose maybe? It stays a little citrusy on me but not sharp at all, more fruity. Very inoffensive. Definitely for summer, perhaps early fall... but who knows, it might be stronger in very cold weather. That happens once in a while. My problem with it is that it's just not strong enough - but as you may know, I'm into the heavy hitters. The louder, the better, lol! Longevity - moderate, not fantastic. Sillage - weak to moderate. But, but, but - I have to revise my opnion. After a more thorough testing I found out it actually does last well! Believe it or not, lasting power has grown on me, like as if it disappears and then comes back after a while. Never seen that before. I didn't sniff my wrist enough the first time. The drydown that sets in fully after maybe 3 hours is beautiful and seems to be better for fall/winter than for summer. So - respray often and it's a fruity summer scent, leave it be and it's a spicy/woody fall scent.

In Neapolitan, it is called curniciello or variants thereof. The amulet is also sometimes referred to as the Italian horn.
