Atramental

at first this purely smelled like rubber and hot, almost burning, asphalt to me so I had the tester sit around unused for weeks. something compelled me to try it on skin again and i’m so glad I did because it’s become a favorite ever since It’s fresh, unisex and clean in a non soapy way, think more metallic. the rubber definitely is there but i’ve come to love it since. I just wish it had stronger sillage and lasted longer but I do enjoy refreshing this one throughout the day more than I do with other scents. it feels like a proper refresh especially combined with some strong mint chewing gum as the mint balances nicely

Cuoiato morbido, vellutato, elegante. Cardamomo e zafferano, su resine calde, procurano un'intensità avvolgente, fumosa. Gocce d'ambra dense, vagamente liquorose, scendono sulle spezie, dando loro corpo e profondità. Anche se non riportato in piramide, io sento anche un sospiro d'incenso. Un bellissimo profumo, non "girly", fascinoso e sensuale. Mi ricorda Cuirelle Ramon Monegal un po' più smoky. Di classe.

this is such a lightning in a bottle type scent, i am still miffed they removed this one. fresh laundry but not boring (cough..love o mativ), metallic, inky, woody but not overwhelmingly so. smells incredible on wet skin in summer and although it doesn’t last long it gets a nice refresh by that. such a good actually unique scent

I've never come across a tattoo that smelled as good as this, but it's a fitting image nonetheless. Atramental is clean spicy, leathery, a little woody, a lot rockstar. Perfectly unisex, but in no way feminine. Drop dead gorgeous!

Smells like walking through an abandoned, unfinished brutalist building while wearing a black leather coat that’s a little damp from the rain outside. So pleasant.

Atramental reflects the work of tattoo artist in the process of disinfecting the skin, mix and apply ink to make a beautiful tattoo. The opening is fresh and incisive but then the effect is installed cardamom and pepper lesser extent when mixed with aquatic notes and aldehydes undeclared drug effect produces a smell very original and strange disinfectant. The smell of Castoreum that from the beginning appears in the background but comes to the fore especially its facet of smell ink and appropriates the overall effect of the fragrance. metal, dry and balmy-smoky nuances produced by the resins and saffron that create a fairly clear picture of the scene appear, it's like watching hard at work the tattooist expressing all the laborious work involved in this technique. The average duration and wake mild to moderate. I do not know why, but this job fits me with Etat Libre Room Orange with 1015. Atramental has a drawback is that despite its undeniable originality is very versatile. Nevermore I recommend more of Frapin that has the scent of ink but much more poetic and less surgical. If you like modern leathery fragrances with an industrial / urban vein, Atramental's opening will definitely deliver what it promises. It does it via a saffron plus synthetic leather accord with black pepper and astringent citruses enhancing the general austerity. Yes, it's a trendy type of accord you would totally expect from Comme Des Garçons and the likes but it still works because, somehow, it doesn't feel like a rip-off. On one side it feels cold and dark, almost robotic while on the other it shows some warmness provided by ambery resins and spices. The cardamom note breaks in pretty soon and, all of a sudden, there's a nice sense of deja-vu...Somehwere between a modernized Declaration by Cartier and a warmer version of Humiecki & Graef's Askew with something of the dark incense base of CDG Black. Nice and very reasonably priced too. Rating: 7/10

Starts immediately with an inky facet, but it also has a faint citrusy, musky bias to it, a bit powdery too. I know profiles that resemble this being interpreted as perverse like cyber-sex Filippo Sorcinelli, but it's more of a somewhat sterile, musky, inky smell (of which might be coming from the cardamom and saffron). The resins round the profile off, striking the familiar tattoo ink smell, and I guess a sterile leather smell (though it's really my abstraction of it, not a clear note), true. By the end, it fades into a vague musk. Interesting frag for sure, but it's so close, yet so far from getting me to grab a bottle of this...it misses a carnal element...

This is an oddball but I kinda dig it. It really does smell like fresh ink on sanitized skin. There’s an interesting warmth to it like... smelling fresh ink on a warm piece of paper off the printer. Or like the warmth of the tattoo gun after it’s been going for a while. I think it’s totally unisex and doesn’t exactly fit into any one category. I like it and I could see myself wearing it - I prefer Cherry Punk but this is a great fragrance if you want something a little more interesting and less sweet. I can guarantee no one around you will smell like this. Great with leather and band shirts!

A favorite of the Room 1015 scents I've tried so far (tying close with Yesterday, which similarly features bergamot and cardamom but is alternatively more floral). The way it dries down on my skin is really pleasant -- it leans slightly masculine, which I like, and is a bit sharp. The saffron is less apparent than in Cherry Punk, which I also love but can find overwhelming depending on the day. Atramental is a sweet spot for me between these two Room 1015 scents.

I blind tested this from the traveling box without knowing it was about tattoos and just liked the scent, it didn't smell like anything identifiable to me. Now that I read about it, I think it may have it evoked books, which I love. Ink and leather! Hopefully not books made of skin.

The first time I tried this on the initial blast of intensity was so great that I was brainstorming all the menacing uses for this fragrance: I could wear it to a street fight. I could wear it to an interrogation. I could wear it to a dominatrix session. This was clearly a perfume for intimidating enemies. Then, maybe 30 minutes later, it transformed on my skin to the softest, warmest leather fragrance. Downright pretty. My advice to you is this: if you're going to wear a perfume to a knife fight, let it be this one. Just make sure you wrap the knife fight up in about 15-20 minutes.

Starts with a blast of pepper and citruses which does not seem unique at all. The citruses are toned down by the slight sea notes, so it never really becomes too citrusy or aquatic. Once it starts drying down you start picking up the base notes and particularly the amber. What's left in the end is a peppery, ambery mix of citruses and sea notes which although not unique at all, seems to be rather well blended and natural-smelling. It doesn't have much of a wow factor, not does it smell particularly unique, so in my opinion it's not worthy of a full bottle purchase.

I almost have to make myself wear this stuff, I'm also scared to wear it around others. It's so other-worldly. Super sanitary, clean tattoo type of smell. It has a green hospital soap vibe to it, it definitely takes a unique person to wear, so maybe I'm not built different like I'd hoped.

DO NOT BLIND BUY. I would say that this to me smells like metal, leather, and paint. This would definitely be for someone thats not trying to smell good for other people.

Male shower gel. More fresh spicy than warm, or I'm anosmic to the heart and base.

On my skin this smells like leather and I'm not a big fan of this smell unless it's cashmeran. But this is actually the best work I've smelled that is so close to smelling leather: I imagine an expensive black leather bag or a pair of black boots. No sign of citruses there. Definitely unisex.

Really strong black pepper note over what smells like disinfectant.

"آترامنتال" یه عطر سینتیک و معمولی با المانها و مشخصات اغلب کارهای امیلی بورژواست. کمی تا قسمتی دنبال ارائه ی مفاهیم خاص میگرده و در فضاهای عجیب سِیر میکنه و در انتها به فکر جذب رضایت مخاطب و حرکت در مسیری جذاب و البته آشنا می افته. شروع کار پلاستیک ذوب شده به پس زمینه ای انیمالیک و دودیه که خیلی زود جایگاهها تغییر میکنن و عطر انیمالیک و چرکین میشه که پس زمینه ی اون پلاستیک ذوب شده و دودی تره! بر پایه ای از همین حیوانیتِ کمی چرمین، بوی پلاستیکی، ضعیف و ضعیف تر میشه و همزمان با ضعیف شدن این فضا؛ بارقه هایی از لطافت و طراوت سیتروسی به حاشیه ی کار وارد میشه و در مسیر قدرت گرفتن حرکت میکنه. با ورود فلفل خاکی و تیز، عطر، دودی تر و جبهه ی انیمالیک تقویت میشه. این فضای انیمالیک، اسپایسی، خاکی و دودی با مرکبات شاداب و آبدار پشت صحنه تلطیف میشه؛ اما متن کار همچنان بر دودی بودن و حیوانیت تأکید داره. عطر بر همین منوال پیش میره تا به آرومی بوی چرکین حیوانی کم رمق و محو بشه و فضای دودی اون در پایه ای صمغی ادغام بشه. آترامنتال صمغی-دودی، با تم خاکی آبپاشی شده و مرکباتی؛ به سمت درخشندگی و تازگی حرکت میکنه و بوی شیرین و کمی سبز هل با پیوستن به جبهه ی مرکباتی گوارا، شیرین، تازه و لطیف؛ فضای صمغی-دودی رو به حاشیه تبعید میکنه تا سر انجام کار در فضایی تازه و لطیف و خوش مشرب، یه نوشیدنی مرکباتی گوارا و مطبوع که با هل معطر شده رو تقدیم شما کنه. این عطر یه کار چرمی و انیمالیک معرفی شده اما به نظرم چرم حیوانی و کثیف تنها قسمتی از نمایش این عطره و آترامنتال بیشتر یه کار منعطف و شاداب اسپایسی-سیتروسی-بالزامیکی هست که پس زمینه ای خاکی-دودی داره و در لحظات نخست، حیوانی و پلاستیکی وارد میشه. یه کار ملایم و چهارفصل که پخش متوسط رو به ضعیف و ماندگاری حدود 6 ساعته داره. خوشایند و خوش ساخته... کامنت: م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

When I read the press release, I thought this fragrance was all posturing. How can perfume smell like a tattoo? And since I don't have any tattoos how would I know if it did? However, now that I've worn the fragrance several times, I can see the connection. The first note is antiseptic, and hospital clean and I imagine tattoo parlors smell like that. Next are some spicy notes that bring some heat against the cooler, clean notes. Finally, it's all warm musk and resin. I'm surprised at how much I like this one in its dry down. The first blast is too medicinal for my taste and a bit too masculine for me, but that first spray softens in about 10 minutes and I'm left with something decidedly unisex and interesting. Atramental is one that I like more than I expected. I reach for it on hot days when I'm in a tomboy mood.

The opening has a fresh, citrusy aspect. The bergamot and lemon eases the transition to the middle notes. In this particular Fragrance, my favorite was the black pepper/cardamon mixture. Heart notes have an incense feel but not overpowering. Quite spicy but balances well with the aqueous/musk. There is something intriguing throughout with this Fragrance - the notes are mixed very well. A note by the name of 'suderal' is at the base. Created by IFF, suderal is categorized as a 'fougeure ambery' note (leather). It is balsamic, and the castoreum/resins/saffron keep it alive. The constant skin scent seems to linger ever-changing throughout. I believe it was described as a 'tribal scent'.

OMG this is powerful INDUSTRIAL stuff! Think Freddy Krueger massaging a chalkboard as a scent and chances are you'd only get to the first base of what this baby can morph into. It is a very love it or run away screaming from it scent, and the only woman I can think of who could (maybe) rock it would be Tilda Swinton. This is a very narcissistic manly fragrance, which forces its host to not only be a fashion muse but more importantly be more chiseled than Michelangelo's David. This truly is an insanely original/medicinal scent which no one should ever consider buying without trying it first - you have been warned! :)

it's crazy! i tried out my sample vial earlier this year and it smelt like a typical cologne or mens body spray with some tattoo ink mixed in (not that there's anything wrong with that), and now it smells very different! more woody and musky, like there's some ambroxan hiding in there that emerged out of its cocoon!

I bought this without sampling it and I have to say, I am so happy I did. This is delicious. I can't put into words what I like about this fragrance as I'm not that well worded when it comes to writing reviews. All I know is that I love this. Thank you Michael!
