Power Ballad

i still have dreams of this scent. wish there was more grapefruit but the combo of vetiver and labdanum makes me miss it all the same

This is a pretty interesting fragrance. The opening is like a mojito with vetiver vibe to it. The vetiver and citrus are almost competing on which note is more dominate. As it dries down, the labdanum really starts to shine with a rich ambery vibe with the citruses. The vetiver is still there, but takes a backseat to the labdanum. The coriander faintly comes in about this time as well. I don't really detect the other notes. It reminds me a lot of Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme.

pleasant citrussy and very light take on vetiver. I'd say it's very unisex. the name is slightly misleading, was expecting something more punchy. nice anyhow, inoffensive day scent for a working guy. does not seem to have much sillage or longevity, it's just a pleasant inoffensive vetiver. Given the lack of uniqueness and lack of performance, I'd say it's not a great value for the price.

I like the scent, a little spicy at times then mellows out. Problem is the sillage and longevity are abominable. Two hours on my shirt and I can barely smell it anymore. Unless one could find this on the extreme markdown rack I wouldn't pay full price for it.

not a crowd pleaser, if u dont like vetiver you will not like this at all. would never blind buy it. give it a 6 out of 10

Yeah..... Not a fan. I love Vetiver too but its buried by the spices here. The notes are: aromatic: Yes due to the strong Cumin, Anise, and Coriander notes citrus: Not really... Maybe just a touch. fresh spicy: Cumin and Anise are more rich here than fresh. woody: Yes there is woods here. In fact my father had an old wooden Fender Bass Amplifier that smelled the way this does. green: No. soft spicy: More of a warm spice in my opinion. Its well blended and the quality is there to be sure but the scent just isn't my thing. Cherry Punk and Room 1015 are the better options from this house.

The most dominant thing about this fragrance to me, is the unwavering, relentless aroma of graphite and pencil shavings. It's not a bad smell, but I don't really care to wear it. There are some minute hints of other things that are too faint to detect, but that add a little sweetness and smooth it out a little, but the graphite scent is just too hard to get out of my head. Performance isn't great on my skin, but not terrible. Maybe 2-3 hours before it's pretty much gone. Too spendy to keep reapplying. Performance 5/10 Scent 6/10 Value 4/10 ($120 for 100mL in the USA) Overall 5/10 Not my jam.

More ballad than power, it's a nice scent, although a soft one. To me, it's a typical soft pencil shaving fragrance with some vetiver - kinda like the smell of clean new paper. I get no citrus notes whatsoever, even though I was hoping for some grapefruit (one of my favorite notes). A slight floral quality shows up after dry down. At least it has a decent longevity - even after several hours (8-10), it is still perceptible as a skin scent and on my shirt.

I miss that scent! Sad that it’s discontinued. Perfect day scent. Played so nicely on my skin. Like a soft version of very cold gin tonic with bubblegum.
