Wavechild

I really like this. It’s like cold vanilla ice cream that’s salted and sprinkled with the white powder found inside a gum packet. It’s a great hot suntan scent as it’s a salty-sweet lotion scent. It shares the Room 1015 DNA of black pepper with a salted vanilla base as found in Jasmine Freak but without the additional sweet mango fruit - Wave Child is more minimalist. It’s salty warm sun-kissed skin that’s been creamed with soothing aftersun. FYI: I tried Atlantis Extrait by French Avenue and it’s meant to be a 1:1 dupe and longer lasting but it’s a much sweeter pure red (not blue) fragrance which smells like red Haribo that’s been sucked already, and there’s zero saltiness. These dupe’s are indeed powerful, but unrefined, bolshy and stomach churning. It’s the saltiness of Wave Child with the very delicate whisper of watermelon which makes it unique and wearable, it’s not a smack-in-the-face with some kid’s pre-sucked candy like Atlantis is. I don’t even like tribute bands as I’m not about rough copies. The 10ml of Wave Child is the same price as a full bottle of the candy-store-copy, so I’d prefer pocket sized refinement.

Ocean water(melon), meets tanning lotion, meets fresh air and Mounds bars... This IS an aquatic gourmand, slightly reminiscent of my dearest Eau de Star by Mugler. The perfume 'love of my life', Eau de Star, was the very first one, in 2007. Maybe that's what I like this perfume so much. It's not exactly like it, the patchouli is missing, but a very nice attempt nonetheless. It's that age old, "you remind me of something I loved.."🥹 It's the drydown I love so much..about 20 minutes in. You will read reviews claiming this smells cheap or juvenile, but I must strongly disagree. This is a trip to Venice Beach!.. there's lots of youthful exuberance there, but then, even the old lady in the purple sunhat feels 25 again, reading her Gossip rag in the shade of a leafy tree. Since when is it a crime to feel young? The performance is good and I certainly have had more than a few compliments. The perfect summer scent for hot sunny places..or when you long for one, in the dead of winter. Wavechild is meant to take you to happy memories of lovelier days..🌞

Unpretentious summertime sugar-high. I get synthetic watermelon, amorphous citrus, and small pat of coconut lotion. This is a dead ringer for the Bullfrog brand sunscreen of my childhood. It’s a wearable watermelon Jolly Rancher. It’s a swim meet in the 90s. I wore Wavechild to work and wanted to call my boss “big dog.” It’s femme leaning, but sporty. Think tomboy twin to Byredo’s Sundazed. Longevity is pretty rad, as I can still smell it on my scrubs. A body mist could never, my bros. Mental Snapshot: Your favourite television show just came on: Wavechild. Otherwise known as The Adventures of Skyler Shaka, Teenage Merman. You demolish a family-size bag of Sour Patch Kids halfway through the episode, just like old times. You cancel all your meetings for the rest of the week. “Hang loose,” You remind your boss. And, surprisingly enough, the kahuna agrees. tl;dr: surf camp nostalgia 🍉🏄

Wow I love this - absolutely a love at first sniff for me! This is so perfectly watermelon, like slightly leaning watermelon jolly rancher, but also refreshing and juicy! The coconut is so pretty, it does not over power the fragrance as I was afraid it may (I am very picky with coconut) and it doesn’t smell suncreeny to me. I can’t wait to wear this all summer. A lot of the reviews I’ve read for this state that this smells like a “cheap body spray” and while I agree it sort of reminds me of something I’ve smelled at bath and body works or Victoria’s Secret, I don’t think this smells cheap at all. Sometimes I just want a sugary, juicy, fruity perfume that is reminiscent of those body sprays. This has an aquatic quality that makes it more elevated and it lasts about 8 hours on my skin, and on my clothes for 12+ hours.

God of Fire, Carioca Heart, Loumari Porthole and Wavechild all are very similar DNA. Sure the top notes differ, but they all feel like 85% the same. I find Wavechild to be the freshest of the "2025 summer bangers", but like I said they are all very similar after 5-10mins. Which is to say they all have good performance and are pretty heavy frags. These aren't light citruses. They all smell good in the air for others. These get compliments. But none are the type of frags you want to spray to bed to enjoy the art of the perfumery. To me this is 3rd below God of fire and City Rythem Miami. Solid 8/10. To be fair, Its not a DNA I'm really attracted to, despite buying 5 of these. Best situation for these is like a poolside party.

Wasnt expecting to love this one like I do! I completely hear the reviews stating "jolly rancher" or "kids watermelon shampoo," but this feels so much more complex to me than that. Its ozonic - in a summer heat way, like you can smell the ocean waves cooling down the thick sticky summer heat. Aquatic, watery, light (light yet also is somehow a projector!) Yes its sweet from the watermelon, but that coconut really mellows it out and adds a depth of creaminess. If you dont like sweet scents this not might be for you. But I think it's so interesting and refreshing for summer. Brightens my mood whenever I wear it. Makes me want to put on a bikini, go to the beach and rot under the sun. Great longevity & sillage.

Such a fun summer perfume! in the opening it smells like the concept of a "watermelon", a sweetened watermelon flavor. not necessarily how an actual watermelon smells like. later on the deep drydown that watermelon aspect is reduced a little and it turns into a nondescript musky shower gel type of scent. I think it's totally unique for a perfume tho a friend said it smelled like a bath and body works scent & my sister was convinced I was wearing a bath and body works body spray. it's one of the little few fruity perfumes that don't smell like BO mixed with deodorant to me. if you live somewhere hot and humid year-round and you dont’t want a basic citrusy summer scent, this is a good option!.

Room 1015 Wavechild Longevity: 9.2/10 Silage: 8.7/10 Scent Profile:10/10 This is just insane. Whoever came up with this idea needs a monument and a globally recognized day dedicated to them. This masterpiece starts off with succulent watermelon and coconut-citrus undertones, before switching to what feels like a watermelon mojito drydown, and then finishing with an ambergris and slightly woody accord, but still with the watermelon accord. It doesn't get much better than this. In fact, if Sauvage Elixir didn't exist, then this would be my favorite fragrance of all time. Beautiful, long-lasting, smooth, and overall legendary. 9.8/10

I first noticed the hype around this fragrance in 2024, so I ordered a decant and instantly fell in love. At the time, it was hard to get in the U.S., which made me want it even more. I wore it all summer and loved it. I’ve now ordered a full-size bottle, and I’ll definitely be wearing it again this spring and summer. It opens with beautiful watermelon and coconut, followed by a soft floral note in the dry down. It’s fresh, sweet, and perfect for warm weather. Update: While I love this fragrance, the projection and longevity are weak. You have to be extremely close to someone for them to smell it. I rate it ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5).

LISTEN i went from meh to completely adoring this i guess yeah say that this leans feminine but for me IN THE DRY DOWN yup thats hella masculine leaning and i thought this cost a lot because this is a niche house but nah this for a 50ml this cost 90euros thats just crazy like why even get a dupe? this for young me this really fits me and i need a bottle of this for more older people yeah this aint for them the smell in the opening is just a watermelon-sweetness overload which i found not the best the dry down oh... oh... oh... yeah... jolly goodness... but i guess im just gonna gatekeep this

I love this... It smells like fresh cut watermelon at first, then it dries down to a lovely fake melon scent, like a really good quality version of those juicy ozone-layer destroying watermelon and raspberry body sprays everyone wore in Australian high schools in the early 2000s, fake in the way a really lovely conditioner sits in your hair, comforting, lovely. I want to order a full bottle but I might wait as I just ordered another perfume like three days ago. I definitely absolutely love this though. It's the one scent in a 1050 sampler that I want the full bottle of. The rest were ok.

Good Lort in heaven, I love this... quick story time: As a child, my family and I would go out on the lake in the summer. The lake was huge and surrounded by pine trees. It was always pretty hot, but there usually was a slight breeze. I just remember lazily sitting in the boat, with my family and friends, as we all laughed and played. We’d always bring watermelon Jolly Ranchers and a cooler full of Sprite (among other goodies, but those were my favorites). I’d forever have a Jolly Rancher in my mouth and a Sprite in hand. This scent is that scene personified to perfection.

I got a decant of this and I fell in love. The first sniff was just tropical fruity goodness. It makes me feel like I'm just amongst a bunch of freshly cut fruit. After the initial tropical fruit scent I really start to get the watermelon. Its a little synthetic but I think the other fruit notes prevent it from falling too far into the the fake candy watermelon jolly rancher type of scent. This is just an amazing summer day time scent and I'll be saving the rest of the decant for when summer hits. If you like fruity, this is worth a sniff.

A beautiful sugary scent with a strong opening of watermelon that dries down into a sweet coconut with ambergris, creating the feeling of sitting on a beach in the middle of summer. After 4–5 sprays, I felt like it only lasted a few hours on my skin, but several hours later my friend told me he could still smell it in the air when walking behind me. It’s not the most projecting fragrance out there, but it’s undeniably beautiful and perfect for summer. Definitely a safe blind buy if you enjoy blue fragrances with a niche twist.

This is not your typical watermelon scent. It opens with a realistic, juicy, and almost explosive watermelon, blended with a hint of coconut water over a smooth ambergris base. It may sound simple, but it’s much more complex than expected. The ambergris adds a subtle animalic touch that gives depth and contrast making it fresh yet slightly sensual. A refined, mature take on watermelon with excellent longevity and performance. Totally unisex don’t let the watermelon note fool you, this is far from being feminine or youthful.

Juicy Fresh, watermelon. Almost mouth-watering upon initial spray. Dries down to a warm, sweet skin scent. Decidely, warm weather use. Smells like someone bottled the exact moment you walk off the beach, still glowing from sun, salt, and questionable life decisions. This is a moderate projecting and moderately lasting scent. IF fruity is your genre of perfumes, then this is your jam! Creamy in the dry down with lingering hints of sunscreen and some herbal touches. Decently, priced. For the fun and the young! 4.15 out of 5

The opening of this is divine! Super juicy sweet watermelon candy. As it dries down the watermelon gets less sweet and the coconut and amber notes come through. It’s very beachy, but luckily stays away from the trap of smelling like sunscreen, which a lot of fruit/coconut frags falls into. There’s not much to dislike here and I can see it being a safe blind buy for someone looking for a beachy scent. The main downside is I would have liked the opening to last longer as it’s definitely the best part of the scent.

I would say that Kayali maldives in a bottle is better balanced and fresher than this, but if performance is all you care about this is nuclear and unbeatable in performance. You know when people talk about megamare being longest lasting fragrance ever? well it didn't even come close to the performance of wavechild for me, I had to throw away a denim jacket that I had sprayed this on because even months later the smell wouldn't go away and this denim jacket wasn't easy to wash without being damaged either

i changed my mind on wavechild, this is suuper good opens up really light, kinda like there's nothing to smell besides the peels of some citruses, than you get hit with a photorealistic watermelon bublegum. It's litteraly the exact same as the one i used to chew when i was smaller. Only thing i disslike about this, is that as it dries down from the bubblegum scent, it gets really creamy, ig it's from the coconut note. Still, a super playful scent dna that you wont come across that often. 8.5/10

This is so good! Never imagined a watermelon fragrance I would enjoy this much, but this has managed to make me fall in love. Fresh, sweet, tropical, strong, and unique. 10/10 definitely FB worthy Edit: once it’s in the dry down a strong white floral note starts to come through on my skin. Still very nice, but I can see why many guys would thinks it’s a bit feminine leaning. Longevity on me is a solid 10+ hours. I am surprised at how long it lasts for a relatively fresh fragrance.
