Globulus

For as long as I could remember, I've enjoyed tearing a few leaves from any plant I encounter to crumple them up in my hand and smell them. Sometimes I was met with a noxious odor, but more often, there was something pleasant or at least intriguing to my nose. Globulus (as in the Latin name Eucalyptus globulus) recalls crushing leaves, whether that of eucalyptus—right off the tree, or that of various herbs in the garden, or weeds in the meadow, maybe even plants in the dunes by the ocean. Here, what are most salient are eucalyptus and clary sage: the camphoraceous, vegetal quality of the former modulated by the grassy-fresh herbaceous nature of the latter. A fresh peppermint leaf renders it cool and breezy, and most notably, Bonneville's use of Cascalone, a watery, sweet-floral variant of Calone, ingeniously elevates all the elements. The result is an evocative fresh, vivid blue-green crushed leaves aromatic that captivates me.

This is a super powerful freshie, I'm very pleased with it! At first, I thought the longevity was too poor but I was very wrong. It's uplifting, herbal, and warm at the same time, and keeps coming back to remind you it's totally there even after 7-8 hours, it just kind of blends with you and then gives you a whiff but I'm sure others will be able to detect it at any point. It has the right amount of aldehydic touch to it but be sure to test it first to see if it's for you.

First review??? That’s strange, because I like the whole collection, but this one is my favorite. Minty, green and herbal scent with strong vegetable note (smth similar to tomato leaves). Love it!! Fresh aromatic aquatic with some 90's vibes.

I really think Globulus would be an excellent name for a cat, particularly a (neutered) male Sphinx cat or a stately Abyssinian dam.
