Incense Wood

Another blindbuy success. I don't agree with those who say its linear or only tonka and cinnamon. It is way more than that. Although I bought in the beginning of this Summer, but I already have a very positive opinion of this. As I get so far, it begins with cloves and with the incense-y profile, but with depth. On one hand it is smoky and dark on the other its like a very bit fruity for me. Than in the drydown... oh my... it becomes so fine, creamy, dark, but cloves and cinnamon with their spiciness stops it to be only one dimensional for its creaminess. I dont find appropriate word but is is "yummy", like a fine 5-star dessert with dark chocolate. If I could give this a colour it would be black with dark purple or wine-red. Very nice, elegant creation. For me its more on the masculin side, but even grown-up serious women could use it. I am already waiting for colder months to test is more! Rosendo Mateu is very nice house, he knew how to create 👌

#1547 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Love at first sniff with this very incense driven spicey-woody. Definitely a signature worthy scent for men that I am really enjoying. Here the cinnamon and cloves accentuate but don't dominate. Everything is nicely balanced. It's not sweet, but the amber and vanilla here has an almost "toasted marshmallows over a campfire" thing going on. Very similar to Carolina Herrera "Gold Incense", and somewhat similar to Serge Lutens "Ambre Sultan." Anyway it's completely inoffensive. You could wear this to the office or on a date, but go easy in tight spaces. Lots of perfume oil in this, so I wouldn't spray your clothing. Lasts all day, good silage for a few hours. I bought this on clearance at $109 and I'm happy.

First impression: I quite like it. I don’t think it’s overly sweet. To my nose, the incense here smells like the incense South Asians use. Very strong spices on the opening, then the vanilla comes in. There’s also something in the background that smells like rose. Update (03/16/2026): I don’t know why people say this doesn’t last. It doesn’t project strongly, but it is long-lasting. It also reminds me of Amouage Outlands, not saying they are the same, but this has hints of Outlands to my nose, with the spices amped up in this one. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 8/10 Longevity: 8.5/10

Me and My Friends loved it, good for a cold automn/winter night , lasts enough for a date out with partner or hangout with friends, does not last too much (5-6 hours maybe) i used to wear at around 6-7pm before going out and by time im back home at the end of the day the smell was very weak, it has a very Strong Vanilla Scent that is stronger than the incense, however the incense can be smelt along with cardamom/cinanamon, great for a night out

This is a brilliant scent. A very well blended perfume that lasts long on your skin and almost forever on clothes. A definite head-turner, so if what you want is a lowkey scent this is not for you. This perfume screams LOOK AT ME in the most Bond-Esque way possible. Absolutely love it, I opened an account to review it haha

Incense wood? No no, tonka wood and cinnamon. Some vanilla and musk. I will give it this, this stuff is different. The only thing that comes to mind is tonka cola. Longevity is as good as it gets. I have been aware of this all day but it is not a fist up the snoot.

Incense softened with sandalwood and vanilla. The cinnamon gives a spicy touch that also compliments the sweetness. It’s okay, nothing spectacular. I’m not really a fan of this collection. Nothing comes close to no.5

Too sweet, way too sweet for a perfume calling itself 'incense wood'. It should be called 'gourmand incense' It approaches the headache sweet level, performs very good, 3 hours of projection on me and lasts 12+ hours on skin. Cinnamon is very prominent in the opening with some citruses, mellows down to the sacchrine sweet vanilla with white musk (I hate when I can smell white musk in a perfume). Mr Rosendo is just not my type of perfumer, had No 5 but sold it later, none of the other from his line interest me. This is probably the last perfume I will try from him

Oooh, I think this is a brilliant incense perfume! I just love how spices and incense notes here play so well together. If you are looking for a churchy incense perfume this is not it, for me this is even more like a spicy perfume. The cinnamon note is very dominant and alongside the cardamom creates this beautiful sparkling warm feeling. It is soft and a little bit sweet, and the incense note doesn't feel smoky on the contrary it has a very opulent kind of luxurious vibe. To me, this feels like a luxurious ambiance smell even. Spicy soft sensual, truly unisex scent. Yes, I would say warm spices are dominant here, but this is beautiful, not harsh. it's warm and inviting, even a bit posh I would say. This really feels like a luxurious scent. It does not feel dark which I really like as most of the incense perfumes have this mystical dark aura, this feels sensual and alluring, very inviting scent. I like this very much! I think this is a great perfume for the fall/winter season! Why people are not talking about this? This is really overlooked and underrated perfume from this brand. This is a gem for sure that still needs to be found by perfume lovers! I think I love this even more than their cult one No.5.

Begins with a beautiful frankincense note blended with hot cinnamon and other spices including cardamom, saffron, all blended seamlessly with a synthetic (norlimbanol?) but appropriately judged for the effect sandalwood and vanilla. It really feels like shimmering red/orange prismatic silk, a luxurious and strong material. Strong projection for the first hour, then a warm, shimmering, unisex, soft, spicy wood aura with a touch of vanilla in the base. This projects tremendously in hot weather, even hours later (I live in Los Angeles). Becomes an aromatic, dimensional vanilla cloud later. UPDATE: This is too long lasting for me.

This scent is very unisex, very oriental with good dose of cinnamon and cardamom. However, my issue is with the performance. For the first half hour the projection is moderate. After 30 minutes, however, it becomes a skin scent on me. Lasts about two hours on skin and three hours on clothes (for reference I have cool, dry skin). Will not repurchase.

this is nothing its name suggests, unfortunately. very heavy on cinnamon, tonka & resin, a bit synthetic and very linear. it kinda smells like muglers pure tonka but watered down.
