Rosendo Mateu No 9 Wood, Osmanthus, Vanilla

This is a beautiful iris fragrance. I don't get much osmanthus or woodiness from it. Instead, the musky powdery iris and cream, buttery orris root are the clear stars of the show, without making it smell like make up. There is a present tobacco nuance that adds depth but its a sweet tobacco, and pink pepper lightly shapes the composition without ever becoming a dominant player or note. You can just tell there is some spice. The characteristic cardamom scent is absent here. There is definitely vanilla but it acts more like the frame around a portrait than the portrait itself. It supports the iris, musk and tobacco rather than stealing the spotlight. Overall, this is a very pleasant scent that I genuinely enjoy. The performance is good. The projection is enormous for the first hour, after which it settles to within less than an arm's length while remaining noticeable. I actually received a compliment the moment I put it on. My son said it smelled like a very expensive baby powder, and honestly, I agree. But it's much more than just baby powder. There's a soft leathery quality, a touch of tobacco, and a creamy richness that elevate it beyond a simple powdery fragrance. If I had to sum it up, I'd call it an ultra-luxury baby powder—the kind that would cost you around US$100 a bottle. Far too expensive to use on actual babies butts... haha!

first impression: I love it. usually I hate yellow flowers so I had zero hope trying this one. really surprised me. btw it seems like I'm the only person getting boozy cola vibes, reminds me of Roja enigma parfum + osmanthus

Opening is very skanky but drydown is beautiful. It's a cold weather perfume. Not a fav. Not even a like.

Its a classy leathery iris vainilla. Its intimate on the best way possible. Upon spraying you get a similar feeling that xerjoff homme gives you with a sintetic leather accord, but as soon that fades out you get a good iris facet that resembles in some ways to dior homme intense. I would say its a good fragance, a good combination of 2 ideas, a interesting leather accord and a more than proved iris core. I would not buy but i do appreciate the intentions.

This smells inky to my nose. The vanilla is in the background and not the main also very tamed and intimate. This leans unisex not a warm scent sits soo close to the skin very close. The notes are blended but all very subtle. Great everyday signature skin scent very mild intimate projection.
