Tenera

This composition by Nathalie Lorson is just amazing! I bought it almost blindly only by sniffing the empty tester bottle and I grabbed the last bottle left in the store. When I wore it, first I thought it was too masculine for my taste, sort of regretting from buying it untested. But after a few wearings it grew on me and now is one of my favorites. The scent is a boozy-woody vanilla with a dash of pepper, thyme and patchouli. The leather note lends some depth and together with woody notes and fresh spices, they control and balance the sweetness of vanilla, rum, benzoin and heliotrope. The vibe is a bit rough and dusty and there is a tiny herbal undertone (could be thyme) that disturbed me in the first wearings. But my nose got used to it and it softens after some time has passed. I also get some faint bergamot-like nuance from time-to-time, which could be elemi. The drydown, which is my favorite part, is a soft, sweet, sensual and yummy caramellic rum & wood, reminding the aged rum in oak casckets. I think the Nose has managed to keep the unisex balance perfectly since there are enough notes and charms for both sexes to enjoy. The sillage is enormous. I left a paper strip in the room for a while and when I returned I could clearly smell the scent in the air. And it's also very long lasting. I also like the bottle and the stopper is made of heavy metal. Well done RBR!

I love peppery scents and this is my favorite one so far – a gentle but noticeable black pepper note envelopped beautifully in vanilla and rum, sweet but with enough sharpness to keep it from being overpoweringly sugary. One of the most well-balanced perfumes for me, so glad to have it. A very warm but at the same time noble perfume. Sillage and longevity are not through the roof, but enough to get me through the day with that slight hint of boozy pepper :)

Gorgeous, woody boozy vanilla with some pepperiness and earthiness to boot. Rogue bunny rogue delivers again on composition, though I'm not quite getting the longevity I had wanted...drydown is a sweet powdery herbal one, heliotrope vanilla and thyme. Woods pepper and patch are more prominent at first few minutes.

This is stunning, it reminds me of a soft ice cream float with rum essence, gorgeous. Fans of Guerlain's Gourmand Coquin, Spiriteuse Double Vanille and Cuir Beluga will adore this.

Tenera means "tender" and that perfectly describes this fragrance...slightly boozy oozy vanilla grounded in wood...absolutely fantastic...
