I love this perfume. Because it's so underrated. Hated. Special. And it doesn't care to be communistic mainstream woke grey hair fake academic with tofu on the designed plate. Valentina is everything I was as a student. Loner. Columnist. Agent provocateur. Antifeminist. Leather skirt and stockings. Black Leibach style-inspired weirdo. Library night butterfly. Hard worker. Red lipstick user. Sensual intellectual bored with young boys around. I loved robust ones... Real men. Uniform men. Yes, ones with Mensur face, charm and deep sensual privacy. Valentina is an eternal seeker. The moment she crushes on your skin, till she is gone, doing her eccentric botanical garden trips, lonely tea drinker in the city rain... My best friend told me once: "I love how you can give me freedom. You don't bond me. With anything." Truth. This scent is like that. That is why it fits, and flatters my character. I love to come, I crush... I powerfully stay and I leave without giving expectations... Just look at these components. Top notes: aldehydes, bergamot, lemon, galbanum and hyacinth. Telling you I AM HERE and I know it bothers you... Heart: carnation, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, narcissus, lily of the valley, orchid and orris root. Don't forget that galbanum brings you into the heart. To stay powerfully and jet dreamy with Orris root. Base: amber, benzoin, tonka bean, labdanum, cedar, sandalwood, musk and civet. Floating calmed flowers on the Orris settle on this magical base. Lasting... Till you enter your home and notice your crotchless stocking is ripped right under your leather skirt and your red nail polish is chipped. While you are drinking midnight coffee. Yes lizziekayy, I completely agree with you! It is a DIVINE perfume. A really splendid treasure. I consider myself to be incredibly blessed to have been given this exquisite scent by an elderly relative recently, and I do very much treasure it. It is so rich and strong, and very very elegant and potent, very much for a woman who feels good about herself, and even better in this perfect fragrance. It's a warm and spicy, deep and alluring floral, with the most beautiful dry-down of (as you say) woods, amber, tonka and cedar. And yes, a lovely lipstick and very comforting powder smell; and it's a joy to wear. A real joy!!! And the bottle is exquisite!!!

Despite its obscurity and it's unprepossessing name in English, this one turns out to be a treasure. A true 80s perfume that could hold its own against cigarette smoke and hairspray. Because it is old a lot of the top notes have died off but the pleasing warmth and richness of what is left - amber, woods and a lipstick and powder mix of low floral notes, tonka and cedar - is far preferable to anything today's most expensive brands can offer. The 80s were the age of peak perfume. In the last few years we pay more and more and get less and less.
