Roxy

I wrote a long, beautiful tribute to this, and then forgot to hit the save button. Go figure. Let's see what I can patch back together: Oh, Roxy. You were *my* first perfume. Not the first perfume I had ever smelled by far, but the first that felt like mine. My mother had a large collection growing up, and as much as I loved to explore and sample, I knew that all of her fragrances were for "big girls", and that I was just playing dress-up. I found this in a PacSun store (are those still around?) when I was 14. I went through about 4 large bottles of it over the next decade. For those 10 or so years, this was my signature scent that I wore for every occasion, during every season. This was *my* signature scent, something that finally made me feel confident, beautiful, and not an imposter playing in someone else's collection. My thoughtful and loving partner tracked down a bottle for me about 2 years ago, and I use it very sparingly, as so as to not squander the last of my youth (what a morose analogy, I know). Every time I spray it on myself, I am flooded with 10+ years of memories--the good, the bad, and the ugly. This was the perfume I was wearing when I graduated high school and college, when I met my first serious partner and I broke up with that same partner 6 years later, and for so many other life defining events. So many memories, few of them deeply saddening, but many more of youthful elation and fearlessness. A few reviews mention sweetness, but I don't detect that in my spritz--to be fair, this has been discontinued for several years, and my bottle is probably several years past its prime (me too, bottle...me too). I do definitely detect a quick fruity opening, and then musk (and some aquatic) in the base. I also remember this fragrance lasting all day, but now is gone from my skin within 2-3 hours (again, could be that my bottle is old). I feel like I need to "grow up" and find a new signature scent, and most days that's now Narciso Rodriguez's For Her EDT (I love my primal dirty musks, dangit), but this will always hold a special place in my heart an ode to years past.

This was my favorite perfume, my first perfume, and it will always have a tender, special place in my heart. It was magical. I’ve never found anything like it again. I cherished it. It was from Marshall’s. It was my very own special moment, something all my own. Growing up in San Diego and vacationing in Hawaii, I was a huge fan of all things Roxy. I wasn’t great at surfing but I loved the ocean and the water. This was my dreams and aspirations in a chic bottle that fit smoothly im the palm of my hand, the size and shape of a pebble tumbled on the shore. This fragrance was so important to me as I transitioned from a girl to a teenager. It was bright and sweet, clean and playful. I mostly remember the scent of plumeria, maybe pikake, maybe gardenia. Watery and fresh too. Heavenly. Trying to find it again, or something like it. Similar to Power of You- Armani (2026) and somewhat like Frangipani Flower- Jo Malone, but not enough. One Summer 2019 shares some of the bright, clean aquatic notes.

Very sweet & summery fresh scent. Quite a fruity frangipani initial blast that settles down into a sweet musky aquatic base that is perfect for summer days. A simple but relatively long lasting girly perfume, it never goes bad/sour on me like some other fruity scents can - it just fades away gently which I really like. A good holiday fragrance that can be picked up cheaply in the UK.

I LOVE ROXY! Ever since I smelled it in Teen Vogue in 2007, I've had 4 bottles, it's really hard and expensive to find now, but for me, worth it. It's defiantly a teenage scent, very light and fun, but it lasts a long time!! In the card I got it says "Roxy is a glowing floral scent with deliciously sophisticated notes." Be careful not to spray too much though!

Why discontinue a perfume so amazing as Roxy pink ,what can l use that is similar to that? And recommendations?
