I love Royal Copenhagen Musk, and wanted to try something else from Royal Copenhagen. I bought 1775 Monarch as a blind buy, based on the reviews here. I was disappointed with it., it was bland and weak. (please keep reading) So I brought it to the gymnasium and suggested that my buddies try it. I discovered a lot from other men wearing this. The first thing that I discovered is that it is not weak at all, but has a significant sillage when someone else is wearing it. When I was wearing it, I was totally nose blind to it, when others were wearing it it was bordering on strong. The other thing that I discovered is that it smelled much better on everyone else than it did on me. I don't know if it is just down to personal chemistry or just that I become instantly nose blind to it when I am wearing it.

I really like it! 1775 Monarch could easily be seen as a flanker of Polo Red. If you remove the apple and coffee notes and add a generous amount of amber, you essentially have 1775 Monarch. For under $20, this fragrance is a fantastic addition to any collection.

Something in between CH Men and Chanel Allure Home Sport.This is perfect for date night,you won't overpower you date and the sweet ,nuttiness of the coriander and bitter orange makes people want to be close you.

This is a very ambery forward scent. The opening is short lived with the citrus but otherwise the amber accord comes in soon after with a touch of the suede. Nicely put together.
