Imperator

Calling this Pegasus is a bit much. The key to Pegasus' profile is the bitter, metallic almond which is nowhere to be found here. For Imperator, I get a very powdery opening, and close up it smells a bit like a plate of sawdust or furniture. Profile is very simple to understand - cedar/sandalwood and iris/laurel. Mild sweetness built into the scent and fresh spicy is one of the leading accords. Does become creamier as it dries. The scent makes me think a little bit of Initio's Rehab - that's the type of creamy wood base this has. The spices aren't anywhere near as noticeable as those in Rehab. Relative to Rehab, I'd call this more woody and less sweet. The profile itself seems great - I'd say spring/fall; leans masculine just slightly, but we can call it unisex. Performance is a massive letdown and I say that after having tried Ytzma and Habanos the 2 days prior which also, while having great longevity, offered minimal sillage. This is the same thing - you'll get moderate at best if you heat it up, but without that, this just sits on the skin. €537 for 100ml... in all honesty, I'd rather put on 2 sprays of Alexandria II than put on 8-10 sprays of this. Only buy this if the concept of "intimate-only sillage" does not disturb you or if money ain't a thing. Otherwise, I'm not 100% sold on it.

Has this "cooling" effect that musk therapy gives off, but not the same past that. The scent is powdery in the beginning, and is mainly a slightly herbal and woody scent. The rose and iris are way in the back supporting the rest of the scent and I still dont know what Corriander smells like so I cant tell if its present. I was hoping for a slightly more smokey fragrance when olibanum was in the notes. Personally on me lasts forever but projection is weak. I could tell after a few comments from others stating I smelled nice even though i thought it had already faded half way into my workday. The price of this is too high still for what you get. Even mine which I feel i got as a steal at 210 for a tester. Overall I like it, having it for over a year with multiple wears, but I don't think this will ever be a love

Ignore the notes. This starts like a woodier, better blended, and much more detailed Parfums De Marly Pegasus. It earns the moniker Pegasus Cedre Edition. I smell almonds, but it lacks the metallic opening. The dry down is where it differs greatly. This becomes more vanillic, creamy sandalwood amber/labdanum with a hint of iris drydown. Large dollops of high quality musk in the base. This is a love for me. Gentlemanly and very very attractive. This is a fall in love scent for me that is reserved for those date nights with a special girl. Unisex, leaning ever so slightly more masculine. Can be pulled off by women.

I will have to agree with Divinest. Calling it Pegasus is a bit of a long shot. I will admit my mistake! It certainly does not have the metallicness in Pegasus.I will stand by Divinest's review. Maybe I had pegasus on that day, or maybe my nose was broken. What an anomaly!

Blend in this very smooth and overall it comes across as a slightly herbal but predominantly woody scent with this very interesting spiced element that emanates from it. I think the laurel is where most of this is coming from. I have CdG Monocle Laurel and there is some element of that here but the CdG is harsher in its peppery aspect but the RC is more rounded and natural feeling and pleasant to wear. Later it leans further on the dry cedar for its longevity. It isn't an offensive daring niche scent but is definitely interesting and pleasant. I think it might actually work as an office scent, but you won't smell like anyone else in the building.

I like this a lot, but I like cardamom in perfume. To me this is very u is ex, both men and women can easily pull this one off. It is beautiful in fall and winter in cool or slightly windy weather. It is not a beast, but the whiffs of it on the wind are so cozy and beautiful.

A pleasant warm cozy blanket of goodness. Too bad it only lasts a few hours.

Pegasus? Portrayal? We can't be smelling the same thing. I own imperator, Portrayal and Pegasus Exclusif (I've also had many official samples of Pegasus) and they don't resemble each other even in passing. Imperator smells like the highest quality shaving foam that could ever be conceived of by man. This smells like an older man who knows his shit. This reminds me of Rogue Perfumery's mousse Illuminee. Not that they smell alike but they both come across as something the same badass older man might enjoy wearing.

This has been blended very well! Lots of natural iris, and laurels. Rose keeps it modern, while the incense and cedar keep it latched to the skin. Overall I think this is a nice perfume, but lacks the royal crown sparkle. Don’t get me wrong this is nice and middle eastern in a modern way. But possibly too modern for the house. One thing I can say that I love about this perfume is the cedar is done very well, and there is a nice fluffy musk that sits under everything.
