Firenze

Firenze is very easy to like, and a great everyday option, suitable for any time and place; it is a simply delightful heliotrope with some prominent jasmine and rose. The heliotrope is warm and welcoming, not too sweet, and altogether it makes me think of those heady Spring evenings, when Summer is just around the corner. Quite, quite lovely. Subtle enough for work, yet elegant enough for evenings, too. Found this everyday inexpensive treasure in a local independent store last Summer and was intrigued enough to purchase a bottle. There is also 'matching' soap and body lotion, etc., for each of this line, none of which I have yet, but certainly on my wishlist. The packaging is moreish, too.

A long time ago in Portugal, I bought a bottle of perfume I could never replicate the smell of; it projected massively too. The heliotrope in Firenze certainly reminds me of it. Heliotrope does give off a warm vanilla, but it is approachable for those who might be afraid of headache-inducing gourmand scents. It is subtly sweet, which we could probably attribute to the heliotrope too. The heliotrope pairs well with the amber; it gives off a comforting, powdery and warm feeling once it's had time to settle on the skin. It doesn't last very long (2 hours on me), but it is worth a purchase considering its scent, projection and affordable price.
