In my endless search for sweet fragrances (I'm writing an Asad Bourbon review soon), there's lots of scents that I've come across that I loved. The original Scandal is one of them. Le Parfum? Quite heavy. Absolu? It's cool, but I didn't like the new notes that much :c I admit, I always head to the stores to smell the EdT. There's just something about the caramel and the orange that feels stimulating to me, so let's just say I've been obsessed. But being frugal, I don't wanna buy Scandal, let alone an original designer fragrance. At least not yet. So what do you do? You try and find a dupe. Now I'm going to tell you an anecdote from here, and I don't know if you've experienced the same wherever you are. Where I live, Odyssey Mandarin Sky is the center of attention of Scandal dupes and also (or should I say therefore) the most hyped and inflated in terms of price ($34?!), like Asad and CDNIM last year. And that's with good reason. For a while, OMS was the only way to experience Scandal on a budget. It's well made, smells 1:1 to the EdT, but it's frustratingly priced higher than the rest of the Odyssey line ($20). My city's mall's distributors are known to suddenly jack up the price here after lots of sales + social media hype. As I said above, the same was done with Asad and CDNIM. Such an asshole way to take advantage. And then there's this unsung hero. Are they still obsessed with OMS that they've forgotten to make this one as expensive? Every single dollar I paid for this Afnan-made dupe ($19) was worth the damn cash. Smells like Scandal, lasts as long, projects better than OMS, and is a very good alternative in case you wanna walk away from the Armaf hype (and don't get me started on King - that shit's $60 here and it's worser!). Now I wonder, when will Zimaya's Oscar and MA's Candid show up? Really, those ones haven't arrived to the mall yet. More options = less interest? The downfall of OMS? Am I exaggerating and making up little scenarios in my tiny head? WILL IT BE A SCANDALPOCALYPSE?

I've had this for a long while now so it's completely matured. Really close to scandal edt, side by side with my scandal bottle I can tell this is sweeter and has a different citrus note than the one in scandal. Also after all this time sitting, this one has turned muskier and now smells similar to erba pura as well. I felt it too and got the confirmation from a friend that said I smell like another person that uses erba pura. Might just be a skin reaction but I can certainly smell some muskiness. Nice frag, 7/10. Kind of generic.

#14 Review of My Fragrances Collection Its a cheapie sweet fragrance i like it the caramel vanilla notes really spot on and strong. Its a dupe of JPG Scandal, already tried the original and Armaf Mandarin Sky but the longevity and projection is weak, but this Rue Broca Theorome have a good projection and longevity. Just buy this intead of that, for the price value i get it at Rp240.000 (15 Dollar), a good fragrance and cheap. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Projection: 7.5/10 Price Value: 8/10

I have never tried the original, but I love this one. very good performer as well. not really a hidden gem at this point, but still a gem. it has everything you need from your cold weather fragrance. I was using SWY, SWY Intense and Code Absolu for the last 5 years and this doesn't feel like a step down. for that money, and I bought it for 16€ on Notino, it's an incredible value for money.
