Penthouse Ginza

It's a nice scent on it's own but if you are interested in it as an Invictus clone don't. Opening is typical citrusy masculine fresh scent but doesn't last long. Just get the Invictus. Longevity is 4 hrs on skin and projects for 1 hr. I'm not going to buy any ME or western cheap scent with synthetic vetiver or oak moss present as it's the same cheap earthy smell in the end which they try to make you believe that it's the " barber shop" aroma which it is not. I wish the citrus notes had more longevity. Mix it with Aramis, Aspen, CK one type scents to boost the citrus note and to get a better soapy aroma. Scent 7/10 Smells nice in first 2 hrs. Sillage 6/10 First hour is good and projects but quickly becomes skin scent. Longevity 6/10 Value 7/10 Cheap but better alternatives are there with same or slightly higher price.

#879 in my "Tour de Fragrance" So I sprayed Invictus on the back of my left hand and this on the back of my right. This may be a hair more citric in the opening. The difference is so minor that I do not believe anyone could actually pick out the Invictus in a blind test at the opening. The difference is more noticeable in the dry down as the citrus notes in the Invictus actually fade out faster. In terms of performance, the Invictus sillage was initially better, both are skin scents in an hour, but Invictus held on for three hours. Penthouse Ginza was pretty ephemeral at two, so you'd want to overspray it. Essentially both perform like an EDT though the Ginza is sold as an EDP. I've never thought Invictus EDT performs worth a damn. To me it's a $39 dollar scent at best. I have all the Invictus, but the only one I actually wear is the Victory Elixir. I'd say if the Invictus EDT is satisfactory for you this should be as well. It's worth the $23 I paid. Can't say the same for the Invictus which cost me $60.
