Penthouse Larvotto

I haven't tried tuxedo, however, the dry down of this perfume smells unique and manly despite being vanilla forward. I didn't like the opening, especially the first few minutes, there is a sharp repugnant note. Less noticeable when you smell it from afar. I haven't given it time to age yet, but overall not a bad perfume. Bottle feels cheap, however, given the relatively good performance of the juice, i am satisfied. Longevity may not be the best, about 4 hours max. Edit: yes it still performs bad, but it's one of the fragrances I tend to grab the most, I found it to be the easiest to wear out of my collection this winter. Not very sweet, not very harsh like terre d'hermes, a very balanced DNA. I'd just shoot for a longer lasting alternative.

I got this as a gift, and let me say i was surprised by it. Didn't expect it to smell so close to Tuxedo. It might feel a little weird in the opening, since the patchouli gives it that "mud" smell, but after a couple minutes it fades. Performance is quite good too, 8hrs with projections for up to 3hrs. I owned Turathi Brown, and this performs better, but i must add that turathi brown feel better blended. For the price, this is very good.

i can say its same as all clone of tuxedo, maybe first minutes different but in the air u dont tell any difference btween tuxedo and this, amazing gem for the price and performance amazing Edit: perfmormance is above average , i wear it since 10hours , and still projects

#880 in my "Tour de Fragrance" YSL "Tuxedo", Afnan "Turathi Brown", Rochas "Moustache" EDP, Alhambra "The Tux", Fragrance World "Suits." I have them all. If you have any of these uber coriander-vanilla-amber scents buying any of the others is redundant. Just pick one. Which one makes no difference at all. But if you pick this or the Alhambra, Afnan or Fragrance World you have to let it sit on the shelf for at least two months. Unlike YSL the Arabs don't blend their scents. It will smell quite different once it macerates. Yes, that really is a thing with the cheap clones. Overall this is a versatile scent, but all of these scents can be very cloying, so go light. At first you think it smells great, but after four hours that barbershop shave foam smell gets to be too much and you'll wish you'd just used less.

I just got this, the alcohol lasted merely 10 seconds and it isn’t as bad as to be put off like many middle eastern creations, I never smelled Tuxedo, so I can only speak on this one; I love the blend of patchouli and vanilla on this one with patchouli being the dominant note, it doesn’t seem that it’ll last a whole while but I wouldn’t want this once screaming as the profile seems to lean more on the classic side. For 20 euros incl shipping this is a steal, a great blind buy!

Omg, this is to much, I gasped for air! PATCHULI is nuclear and synthetic for my nose , its goid parfume but sholud be called Brutalist, and its not well blended , very rough! Not for if someone likes it I could send it its 100ml for free.

I'm kinda surprised by the reviews as my bottle and another tester I once tried smell really not that much like tuxedo and actually smell pretty bad tbh. I bought mine despite a previous bad experience with a tester cause at like 8 USD it was basically free. It just smells like dank vanilla gone bad. The opening is especially rough as it has a dried spit type smell which fortunately decreases soon but there's always a hint of it till the drydown. Afnan seems to use some vanilla compound that has a weird vanilla gone bad smell with a touch of spit. I've smelled in other afnan and it's subbrand perfumes but it's the worst in this. The real tuxedo and it's clones I've smelled are a lot more nuanced and not a total punch on the face like this. They have a lot less vanilla and the patchouli and spices in them create a much more harmonious smell. I assume this is more of a rochas clone which was always known as a vanilla forward from of tuxedo, although I haven't smelled that one so can't say for sure. This has insane performance tho, lasts 10+ hours easily with moderate projection and sillage. My bottle has got a bit more tolerable with age, although the opening is still as rough as ever. Makes cdnim opening seem high end niche level. Hoping it macerates well like some commenters say IA.

This is a clone of YSL Tuxedo, which I love. Rue Broca Penthouse Larvotto smells sweet, elegant and light. A bit too light for me. I do not get good projection or longevity, but I live in a dry and cool climate. Maybe performance will be better in summer. This fragrance is just fine if you can get it in the $30 range. There are better clones of YSL Tuxedo. Maison Alhambra The Tuxedo is fantastic. Rochas Moustache EDP is also very good.

Woah!!! this one hits sharp right from the start! It feels a bit harsh and not very well-blended, even after giving it some time to macerate. Not sure what went wrong here, honestly. That said, I do have to admit the bottle looks really nice.

I get solid 6-7 hours with decent projection in first couple hours. Good scent, i get this for 15 euros in Germany. Great price for this fragnance.
