Penthouse Windsor

#881 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I have Penthouse Versailles (not in the database, but worth owning), Penthouse Ginza, Penthouse Larvotto and this Penthouse Windsor. I like them all. I'm surprised this has the lowest rating as it's the most wearable of the line. It's a pretty good attempt at a clone of Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade. There are others such as Maison Alhambra Jean Lowe Ombre, Armaf Ombre Oud Intense Black. Probably four or five more you can name. I'd say just grab the cheapest one you can find as they're all acceptable substitutes for the ridiculously expensive Vuitton, and every man should own this scent, whichever maker you choose to get it from.

Very close to ombre nomade and anyone saying otherwise are mad they didn't buy this instead. It opens with a blast of oud and rose but it settles in around 30 minutes to a beautiful woody raspberry. Lasts forever on clothes. Definitely a winter fragrance.

Awful fragrance. Mostly because of performance. Calling it a skin scent is giving it too much credit. I could barely smell it after 20 minutes on skin, and that's with a few sprays concentrated on a single area of my wrist. The smell itself in those first few minutes is not so bad, smells like burnt chocolate. I think it could be a somewhat sexy scent, but i can't even investigate that, that's how bad the performance is.

Side story: I've encountered fragrances in Chinese corner stores that claim to mimic BR540 and cost as much as the deal I got on Penthouse Versailles. These pseudo-fragrances did smell decent, kinda similar to the real deal, but only for a fleeting 10-15 seconds, after which they always turned to authentic DUNG on skin (??!!). In summary, Penthouse Versailles delivers a fleeting yet captivating olfactory experience that taps into my deep-seated love for BR540 clones. Its budget-friendly price of €11 on a deal makes it a justifiable indulgence for those who can't resist its unique scent profile. EDIT: I could clearly smell this on my t-shirt after a week.
