Amber Cola Sanctum

This one is basically cola... but grown up. Right off the top, you get that cherry cola vibe, but it’s not syrupy or childish. It’s more like a fresh pour over ice—slightly fizzy, a little spicy, with just enough sweetness to pull you in without being too much. After a few minutes, it smooths out. The sweetness gets softer, and you start getting this warm, slightly creamy, almost powdery feel in the background. Nothing jumps out individually—it just blends into something that feels comfortable and well put together. The dry down is where it really shines. It turns into this warm, cozy mix of vanilla, light tobacco, a hint of chocolate, and soft amber. There’s also a subtle depth in there—almost like a faint smoky or woody note—but it never gets heavy or dark.

Amber Rose Oud was around 45% concentration and an absolute beast. It opened with some ambergris, a shot of incense, then settled into a steady, syrupy, thick amber. At first I thought it was one-dimensional, but after a hoody test I realised it did transition, it just took forever because of the high oil content. When I wore it around people who are used to more inoffensive fragrances, I still got the thumbs up, which was a good sign because I was enjoying it too. Because apart of the brands ethos is to resist fixed definition, I was slightly concerned this might just be more of the same with cola added. I’m happy to say Amber Cola Sanctum smooths out the rough edges. Reducing the oud, adding tobacco, and leaning properly into the house cola accord that you must try if you are a cola fan. These changes made this one a real success for me and for the people around me. After a beautiful cola opening, it settles into that same syrupy amber, with fruity nuances still echoing the top and helping preserve the impression of an exceptionally strong cola note. A strong evolution of an already solid fragrance. 8/10.
