Sage

I made a mistake with this one. I thought I was ordering Jade, which has the same color label on the bottle, but I bought Sage instead. Easy to do since the company's name is also Sage. It didn't help that I ordered it when I just woke up at 5am and hadn't yet had a cup of life. Oh, well. It still worked out anyway because I love it. It's a clean, herbal, well rounded scent. It makes me think of fresh mountain air when the wildflowers are in bloom. I can smell the sage, sweet peas, and ambrette very strong. There is a little sweetness from the tonka that has a mellowing effect in keeping the sage from being too sharp, medicinal, or foody. And while this does have the food note of cucumber it blends beautifully with the other notes and adds a refreshing quality to this scent. When I opened the package and realized I made a mistake, then read the note profile here, I was really concerned. But I shouldn't have been because this is really nice, and the little bottle of roll-on oil will be great to pop in my bag this upcoming summer. I really think this perfume will work best then anyway. As to silage and longevity, honestly, it's not that great. It's a little better than a skin scent as I am only getting occasional wafts as I'm writing this now. I am considering purchasing the edt to use in conjunction with this, as I really like the smell of this, and Sage does recommend that for more silage and longevity. That might be the way to go if you want more traction with this, or any of their other scents for that matter. Edit - 8/30/22 - I wore this a few times since June of this year and what I thought about silage and longevity being better in warm weather is true. While not a silage bomb by any means, I do get gentle wafts when I move around, and it last about 5 hours on me. Since it is a roller ball it is very easy to reapply, so that's not an issue.

To me, this is true to the description. Goes on a veeery sharp green and herby A few minutes in, the cucumber comes out strong, with something almost minty (the sage?) followed by the musk. Surprisingly, cucumber and musk actually smell pretty nice together. Not sweet on me, gets dry & slightly sour with time. It's more of a white musk, kinda powdery. The oil has very good staying power. I think this could easily be a unisex fragrance; I would not wear this as a female, but if you are either gender and like fresh cucumber and herby scents, this is a decent pick. Later note: All right, I have worn this a couple of times, and have decided that it truly becomes pretty - and less unisex, perhaps - a couple of hours in, when the intensity of the oil has faded. At this point, it is less fresh herbal/aromatic and the cucumber recedes, and it transforms into a green musk, and the sweetness from sweet pea finally surfaces, easing the sharp herbal end. I recognize the same musk that is used in Pearl from the same line, which I wear frequently. It's better blended than I first noticed, but you must give the oil some time to get past theinitial "green spa fresh" kind of scent. I can't say about the edt, that one might get to this point sooner.

Sage is GREEN. It doesn't smell like a perfume, it smells like fresh sage and flowers. The sage note is so true to the plant it makes my nose itch. If you ever played outside, rolling on the ground, doing cartwheels, playing kick-ball...the grassy emerald scent left on your skin and clothing is the essence of Sage. The cucumber note ruins it for me, but that's a matter of taste, not anything wrong with this masterful blend.

Really green at first - sharp and herbal. Sage yes. But also after a while flowers and cucumber - kinda like spa water. GREEN and pretty. Faded within 3 hours to pretty much nothing.

This was not a fresh fragrance on me. It did not get very grassy either, rather it was watery, marine-ish, and cucumber-y. The fragrance actually turned too sweet on me, and reminded me of overripe produce in a hot room.
