Dalilight

This perfume at first spray, expresses a lemony, optimistic desire to better your day. It is a blast of cold citrus that mimics the dazzled skin of a fresh, cool shower in the summer. Middle notes soften the natural astringency with kisses of peach and crisp apple. Slight caresses of an orange, amber musk sooth the inherent energy of the initial fruity wake. The result is absolute divinity. This is a scent one wears during the week to lift their spirits and re-energize their soul. Fresh, clean and sparkling, this perfume allows the chest to expand and the shoulders to open. It is radiant morning light and warm nightly surrender, confessed lovingly between the subtle nuances of playful fruit and elegant white flora. I imagine, as my nose obsessively returns to the sweet chords garnishing my skin, a sunny day spent lazily gazing at clouds, and projecting ever-changing shapes upon them.

It really is all about the skin chemistry. Thankfully this smells nothing like D&G Light Blue on me. I'm a LB hater from first spray to dry down. Nose to skin LB is bitter and harsh. Dalilight is fresh and citrusy in the opening and dries down a little sweet, creamy and floral. I'm thanking the fragrance goddess for a citrus that doesn't go masculine or bitter on me. I love it.

When I wear this perfume I always get some beautiful salty note, and that makes me feel like being at vacation by the sea with breeze on my skin;)

These literally smell so fresh and nostalgic. Like something straight from 2010s. Smells like mermaids and sea.

It does smell like Eclat D'Arpege although it is more powdery-musky, less fresh.

This is a BEAUTIFUL scent! Vibrant, fresh, fruity and quite pretty! It does give you a salty edge which indeed reminds of you a wonderful sea breeze. :) I love it and am so glad to have taken the blind buy plunge. This is definitely more than a watery Light Blue since Dalilight is much more sparkling and inviting. :) The opening notes are fresh, fruity and effervescent but mingle perfectly. The combo of lotus and jasmine give Dalilight a unique pseudo-spicy touch in the middle phase and the blend of cedar, musk in amber in the base finishes off the composition wonderfully. And unlike Light Blue, the cedar does not go haywire on my skin nor does it overpower the other notes. Even though Dalilight is a lighter perfume it has a pretty good sillage and moderate lasting power. I get about 6hrs on my skin and more on cloth materials. Thought this might not work since it is winter here in Michigan but this just the scent to perk you up and awaken your senses. Can't wait to wear this during the spring and summer!!! :D YAY! P.S. Not into perfume bottles but this one is quite beautiful and very cool. :) Update: Doesn't work with my chemistry after all. :( Oh well, something about freshies with pronounced cedar notes doesn't agree with me. o.O

01.june 2013 A beautiful joyful citrusy scent with a shameful lasting power and sillage! At first it welcomes you with enourmous burst of citruses, for the very first 30seconds it might be even unbearable, so sharp lemony it is. Then it becomes more softer and really really pleasant but with breezy (may i call it so?) touch, thanks to waterlily. It is a very simple, yet very pleasant fragrance, great for hot summer and also for warm spring. The opening somehow reminds me of a DKNY classic fragrance in tall white bottle, almost the same energising spirit. Then it is soft and calm, with just a hint of lemon. The name is perfect for this fragrance, it is like a flash of bright light in the opening. The biggest minus of this great fragrance is it ́s ridiculously poor lasting power and sillage. Just after 1 hour it is almost undetectable. I mean you have to spray A LOT AND A LOT AND OFTEN to enjoy it through the day. I think if i will find a huge bottle of this for reasonable price i will buy it again.

I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this one. But nope. IT hasn't happend. No love for the first sniff not even one after thousands attemps. Dalilight does resemble Light Blue D&G but there is something unfinished in this smell. Like it's creator was like: "ok, close enough to LB D&G. Let's leave it on that, make it cheap sufficiently and it'll sell". Well it kinda works as I bought it right? ;) I have and like Dalissime and wanted to try second from the series captivated by opinions given here. But this perfume is not my cup of tea.

I have to agree with some of the reviews to say that this fragrance is good, not exceptional, not groundbreaking, but solidly beautiful, refreshing and easy to wear. As for it being a watery Light Blue, I see what people mean, however I would say that Light Blue is a sickening Dalilight. The fruit of Light Blue I have always found too strong and almost child-like. Dalilight is classier and more mature. Also it carries a much more reasonable price tag for what it is. I love it.

This is one of those perfumes where the notes are mixed together really well so you can't pick on any specific scent. It's a bit sweet, but as someone who usually hates sweet fragrances, this doesn't smell too sweet. I'll wear it in the fall/winter. Doesn't smell like D&G Light Blue at all, it has no Aldehydes and none of the synthetic sourness that Light Blue has. The price is great, and the bottle looks really cute in my perfume collection.

I tested Dalilight today at the store. I put it on my wrist, then went to a supermarket and after a while I had a feeling that all the women passing me by were wearing some very nice perfume. Later on I realized that it was me who smelled that good :-) Get me right, Dalilight is nothing exceptional, it's simply good. From what's said in a description I want to highlight two words: deliciously fresh.

Very nice scent for hot weather. Light apple scent at the opening with a citrus finish. Then a fruity floral scent comes with the citrus still there. The base is a really light skin smell. It's very light. I don't really get the cedar note in here. The saying power is really weak on my skin but I don't mind it. It will be a great after shower type of perfume

I dont know which note gives it this salty feel..it's so summery and cosy ! The reason why i actually bought this is cause it reminded me of another love-Lanvin eclat d'aprege. It's cutrusy, summery, not really aquatic, on me- stays sour, dry and woody. For an EDT it lasts good 2-3 hrs.

Bought this bc the bottle is pretty. Similar to Light Blue but with a tiny hint of citrus and white florals. Ok longevity with intimate projection - scent faded after abt 3 hrs and can only be smelled up close. Still a pleasant scent for me. Spring / daytime vibe.

It's a friendly-scent fragrance, very similar to Light Blue Eau Intense by Dolce & Gabbana but more sweet and lighter. It's at a reasonable price, which makes it attractive, if you are struggling buying the original Light Blue. There are only a few on the market.

It started out fresh and strong but faded quickly into a floral scent. I liked the scent but it seems to fade away very very quickly. It is no big surprise considering the fact that it is eau de toilette. The bottle is really cool and artistic.

This is a dupe for Light Blue by Dolce Gabbana. It's like a more gentle version of it. If you're bothered by the bamboo in Light Blue, go for this fragrance. Oh and the bottle is really cool!

This is one of those times where I wish I would have listened to the reviews. This fragrance is as if they had blended Eclat d'Arpege and Light Blue. I can see why people compare it so much to both. It was curiosity that made me get it (and the price, around $5 for the mini), but all the while I was afraid it would be Eclat d'Arpege dominant. Indeed it mostly smells like it, which I don't like. I was hoping it leaned more in the Light Blue direction, since I wanted a freshie for summer. It doesn't. If you like both, you can give it a try. If you hate either one, don't bother. I'm still not sure if I will be reaching for it, but the blend is interesting enough to me to keep it in my collection.

This was blind buy and I expected this to be like Moschino I love love or Sea&Sun in Cadaques. Yes, opening is very similar to I love love, but fresher/greener. I smell citruses with water lily and apple. After an hour it's fresh jasmine and water lily. Aquatic and white floral with hint of sweetness. I'm not fan of white florals and I expected this to be less sharp and more sweet. There is something similar with Dior J'adore. Same sharp note which makes me sneeze. Maybe it's Jasmine. After four hours I sense white musk and amber notes, not heavily. Longevity is poor, sillage is moderate. Edit. It smells like D&G Imperatrice, but less ozonic/sharp

I tested a number of Salvador Dali perfumes. I must say I’m struggling to find the difference between Dalilight, Sun & Sea in Cadaguez, and Dali Rubylips. They all have similar DNA to Moschino Cheap & Chic So Real. I have seen Youtubers made comparison to Cheap & Chic I love love, which I partially disagree. Only Sun & Sea is comparable to I love love.

Abre cítrico com uma maça vermelha bem fofa (daquelas que o povo não gosta muito de comer rs), sinto a lembrança da maça ainda depois da saída, com um pêssego bem gostoso e um floral beeeeem fraquinho, um floral aquático leve, bem confortável, bem verão, bem almiscarado, certamente não agride ninguém, ótimo para o calor.

...if Gala had smelled this, she might have fired the perfumer... Unwearable, in my opinion... it starts off as sweat and unwashed armpits and mixes up with fruit.. There's also a raw meat smell lingering in the back...!!

Smells like a more sharp and sour version av Eclat Arpege, like there were some pineapple added or something. Way too sour for me. And the jasmine is very strong to, which makes it smell a bit unclean.

This smelled very generic, soft fresh fruity floral that fades away quickly, inoffensive but nothing to grab my attention. It's not doing the cool bottle design any justice.

Aquatic, very fresh scent. I can smell marine notes even if they are not listed. Maybe lemon blended with an apple gives such effect. Also water lily is quite prominent.

This is so much like Light Blue, unfortunately... Only a bit weaker, fortunately...:) And the bottle promised sooo much more!:'(

This does not smell like Dolce and Gobanna in the opening. If you want a light blue dupe, the best on the market is Blue Drop by Jesus Del Pozo. What this opens as is an Eclat Darpege dupe. I can barely detect the difference. Light delicate scent. Clean. Fresh. More floral than fruity. Strong water lily, slight jasmine, almost smells watery. The citrusy fruity side comes out towards the end. Which is interesting. Usually scents open with Citrus. In the closing the Citrus really shines here. In the closing I can also see a closer resemblance to Dolce and Gabbana light blue. Interesting scent.

I am a big fan of Dali's art, so I wanted to buy a perfume from the line carrying his name and artistic views. The bottle is pure Dali, I am not going to throw it away after finishing the perfume! The scent itself is perfect for me for the summer season. It is very much like Lanvin Eclat D'Arpege, not as powdery, though. A soft fresh summer breeze. I wish this was EdP, since the longevity is weak and sillage soft. I feel I have to reapply this often. This is a safe blind buy, or a gift to someone who likes light, fresh scent and appreciates the eccentric design of the bottle.

Very nice scent which I think is unisex wearable. I love it and found on a discounted shelf today at the supermarket. $9usd for 50 ml incl. sunglasses (they call it a travel kit!)It's sweet and summery. and have some aquatic notes in it. I can't seperate all the various notes here, but theres definately some citrus, "jasmine" and apple flower scent going on in there. probably full of (other) synthetics as well. I could easily imagine coumarin, calone, ozone and hedione.

Afer spraying: strong lemon note (more cologney lemon - linalool?) + apple + pineapple? Very 90-ties, like deodorants (or even dishwashing liquids?) produced in the beginning of 90-ties. Similar to Eau de Rubylips and Eclat d'Arpege. It smells also like Light Blue without its "wet leather strap note". After 30 minutes: very nice floral note. Is it violet? -no. Linden blossom? - not quite. Japanese skimmia and Persian violet! (Exacum affine).

Indeed Dalilight is very-very similar to Eau de Rubylips but there are differences. Eau de Rubylips is sweeter thanks to the pineapple note while Dalilight is lighter and seems a bit like a salty seabreeze. They are both suitable for warm and sunny summerdays. While Eau de Rubylips suits for summertime in the city, Dalilight is perfect for the beach. And Dalilight seems to last longer.

The lemon and apple in this smell really artificial like dishwasher liquid. The top notes evaporate within 5 minutes, and the rest is gone within an hour. Not sure it's even worth the £4 price tag for a mini if I'm honest.

When it first spray look like similiar with D & G light blue but after one hour it's different.. This one more soft floral and more feminine.. The bottle is very artful but not long lasting =(

The bottle and pack are beautiful, the scent is very light and delicate. But, I have something similar... I really prefer my Moschino I Love Love.

light, fresh and chrisp. something i would enjoy wearing in the summer, but alas, it is quite similar to some of the fragrances i already own.

Daliligth is a fusion of Sea and Sun in Cadaques and Eau de Rubylips! There's nothing new. But I like it! Scent: 2**/ 5***** Bottle: 3,5*/5*

Just a watery copy D&G Light Blue, and nothing more.
