Dalimix Black

I had no idea what to expect having only smelled one Dali in high school which was a longer time ago than I care for now! I really like it! There's a realistic pear, bolstered by cedar and oak moss. It isn't a watery pear (not keen), it's a juicy, real pear, rendered more serious by the cedar and the oak moss. These were the notes I got sniffing blind, but on reading the notes now I can also get a sense of peach. It reminds me of How Doth The Little Crocodile by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab in it's wood aspects, only that doesn't have fruit. I think cedar is a note my skin wears well since She Wolf by Smell Bent is also one I love on me. It feels like I know it. It seems like a perfume my younger self would have chosen and worn as a signature. I definitely would like to try others of this house now, hopefully the quality is similar, for the money I am very happy.

Well,now this is an "odd bird"....!!! Unique scent....yeah....different...yeah....weird/quirky......yeah. Do I love it...??.....well.....yeah ! I get a bergamot/mossy opening.....then odd semi-fruitiness. Peach Moss....IMO....earthy undertones.........throw in bergamot/iris-y vibes....and...a mossy sandalwood. Pear....??...raspberry...watermelon....??? Confusing...but maybe "blended" in notes that don't scream out. Somewhat fruity....but not the "main" vibe here. Aquatic...???...IMO...not very. I am finding this hard to explain/describe....just like Salvador Dali the man....and his art. The dry down gives off a more "vintage" type scent...IMO. So different..and unique....and I love it !! Very niche...IMO. And...probably...a "not for everyone" type scent. The performance so far is pretty decent...on my skin.

It's a wonderful mixture of tropical coctail fruits , blended with precious powdery iris and creamy dusty cyclamen, structered up with classy oakmoss and exquisite virgina cedar, and a soft touch of rose to blend it all well, this latter ultimately tempting combination renders this evocative fragrance its core DNA from 80s and flashes the news that it's a definitively "Keep out of reach of children" type of gourmand floral. As I first smelled it, I thought "that's totally emotive" all that blasting fruits with those inflammatory blossoming precious flowers could lead to nothing but one goal I thought: the ultimate sensuousness, I bought the full bottle right after I tried it, and I am sinsiterly waiting ever since for the right moment to spray it on to get there.

I purchased this dark, 'luxe jewel on FragranceNet and as a result, have become enamored with the House of Dali. Wear it when you feel like a Goth princess. It is the antidote to boredom when spinning straw into gold and dancing with sugar plum fairies is not enough. This is heady, mysterious, and intoxicating. It delivers the decadent brilliance that Lady Gaga's Fame prommised, but deferred. Wearing it, I became aware that it pefectly captures that moment before a storm. That is the scent I had just written about elsewhere on this site! I don't mean spring showers, or their aftermath, but the foreboding, sensuous moment when the elements converge. The air is charged with heat, rain, and earth...as the woods beckon.

Dark, brooding berries- like sipping aged, fruit wine in a dark and perfumed room. I like this one very much. Although the odor of fruit is prominent, I would not classify this- like many others are- as a "day" fragrance, rather, it has a mysterious evening edge, and forms a combination- as a whole- unlike any other I've ever experienced. Well, except for certain rose-oudh attars... it reminds me of them- and has excellent balance. Wonderful woods emerge from the low-end of the heart on the drydown; musk isn't listed, but it works in tandem with sandalwood here to form a solid foundation. Definitely a unisex despite the florals in the upper heart, and my favorite of the three Dalimixes. I wear it with dark purples.

I took a risk and blind bought this, and I regret nothing. I'm a guys, but this scent is very much Unisex, possibly leaning slightly feminine due to the fruitiness. It is deep and gothic with a slightly shadowy feel about it. I am currently wearing this layered with Versace The Dreamer and the combo work amazingly together. For the price it is very much worth a try.

Great night wear frag. Sexy, deep and dreamy with a very naughty vibe, yet very feminine. For me it doesn't come across as a unisex fragrance at all. Very intriguing! I have to try more from this perfume house, because after Laguna and now Dalimix Black I find myself on a winning streak when it comes to Salvador Dali frags.

So far I haven't been able to find any perfume that resembles this weird and wonderful set of notes. I find it almost impossible to separate the notes, because they achieve such a harmony that I have fallen in love with it 🥰🥰🥰 I end up using it all year round, it's perfect for all occasions, and all weather.

OMG! This is a great scent for autumn. It is dark, kind of musty... kind of gothic. A very unique frag: sweet, flowery, the oak moss is really impressive in this one. I'm gonna wear this a lot in October. LOVE!!!!!

Weird, wonderful, fruity, flowery, musky, musty and potent. I have no idea how this works, it just does. Not so easy to find these days - well worth seeking out if you can.

Having a sip of fruit wine in the depths of a limestone cave is what this smells like to me. Realistic fruits, moss, and a metallic hint of dampness that reminds me of the limestone caverns of Indiana/Kentucky. The unexpected combination of fermenting fruits and cold earthiness was more than I thought I could handle the first time I wore it, but I’m glad I gave it another try. It keeps its goth girl voice for hours before settling into a quieter, warmer version of itself as the fruit and metallic notes gradually drop off, leaving peaceful mossiness behind. She is the cousin of the sisters Daliflor and Dalistyle, and a bold choice for an independent free spirit.

This isn't your conventional perfume it definitely is a love or hate fragrance. I can definitely see it as a unisex fragrance although is more like on the feminine side of it. It definitely has a dark gothic kinda vibe. It starts with a fruity smell then you can definitely smell the rose and the cedar wood in there. Definitely I would say it's not meant to be worn by under 21's if you most. I definitely think they toned it way too much with the fruits and oak moss. And should have toned it up a bit more with the wood. But over all I like the uniqueness of it. Really mysterious fragrance. To me is 7/10

I want to add to my previous review now that I'm wearing this every day. This is by far my favorite fragrance and picks on something very rare: it is perfectly unisex and works for any season. The warm mossiness is comforting in winter but promises the greenness of spring. The fruity metallic freshness is light enough for summer, but earthy enough to blend into fall foliage. While it is versatile, it retains a certain mystery. It truly is unusual. This is one of my husband's favorites on me and honestly I kind of wish I could get him to break up with his favorite cologne and wear this with me!

This is an olfactory freak show!! I'm not sure I can describe it properly but....I get peachy melon blast at first. Within minutes those peaches and melons have been put through a smoker and doused with mulberry wine, then rolled through a field of patchouli (which apparently isn't in the notes but I swear I can smell it). Its spicy and warm and strange and strong. Very different. Could definitely be unisex. Probably not office safe as it is loud and projects far and wide. At least it does on me. I don't think this one will wash off easily. This makes me want to try out other Dali's!!

It's just wonderful! The darkest, most decadent peach one could imagine combined with smokey raspberries! I know that sounds ridiculous but it's a fact! It's perfect for colder weather and night wear. Excellenctly balainced, great longevity and the price tag needs no comment! If you like John Galliano edp you shoud definitely try Black!

Wow ,this is undescribable.For the first time i cant pick notes and i cant describe a fragrance.This is unique smell.I havent smelled such interesting floral-woody-fruty harmony till now.It is little herbal,little smokey and velvety.very interesting and UNIQUE!Bravo Dali!

I liked this a lot, very unusual fragrance with that kind of gothic vibe I love, but for some reason it gave me a headache every time I wore it, which very rarely happens to me...after several attempts, I had to sell my bottle.

I admit was I skeptical even though I dreamed of an amazing scent and with so many mixed reviews I couldn't resist buying this piece of art to try it for myself. I guess it is a piece of art since on my skin it smells barely anything close to what it is supposed to resemble, though it is still rather pleasant. Not as amazing as I'd dreamed of but for the price tag that's quite understandable. On my skin it starts off a little too strong with hints of cedar and patchouli though it quickly disperses to a much milder tropical scent; quite peachy with hints of coconut and pineapple. It reminds me of the carribbean and it definitely brightens up any day or livens up a cold winter evening. My boyfriend quite likes it too = bonus!

It took me a few trials to make up my mind about this strange mixture. It's a piece of art for sure, as it's unique and interesting, but in the end, it's not for me. Dalimix Black is a dark, fruity, gothic unisex juice. The peachy melon is musty at first, making you wonder if there is something wrong with your bottle. Mulled wine/cider and oak moss, that's what I get initially. Then the weirdness calms down, and it gets a bit spicy and the sandalwood comes through. It could be quite nice for a night out in the Fall, but I won't keep this one, it's just not my cup of tea. This was a blind buy. This is how Lisbeth Salander, the character from the Millenium Series, could smell like: good, different, strong, badass.

The note breakdown does not reflect what this actually smells like at all!!! It's a very dark and musky mulled wine type of scent. Very strange and undoubtedly unisex. It feels like it could last forever on skin . I would like this scent if it wasn't so strong! Any more than two sprays and I find this headache inducing. I'm normally not one to complain about strong perfumes, but this is just too much for me. On a side note, the bottles in the Dali line are absolutely stunning. Every bottle collector needs one!

Extremely dark, musty smell. To my nose it's not pleasurable, nor does it boast any of the gorgeous, sweet or floral notes in the opening. Some eccentric, elderly gentlemen could pull this off, it's definitely unisex.

Dalimix Black is a very different! Out of the tin can/box and the sprayer nozzle, Dalimix Black smells like a very dry, red wine. Once sprayed, it's very bright bursting with fruits __THISCLOSE__ to fermenting. After spraying this, I asked myself, "WHERE HAVE I SMELLED THIS?" It only took about 10 minutes and I realized that Al-Rehab's fragrance oil called "Fruit" is what Dalimix Black resembles. The fruits are photo-realistic. It's not candy or synthetic fruits. As happy as it sounds, the oakmoss keeps the whole thing very mature, dark, and dry (which is where I get the dry red wine vibe). I like Dalimix Black a lot more than Al-Rehab Fruit as it is more balanced and dynamic with the note chemistry (where Fruit had more citrus nuances and rather flat smelling). The oakmoss and wood is what brings this fragrance together. While this won't be anointing the ever-elusive "signature scent" quest, I can definitely see this being something a hipster or androgynous individual would adore. It doesn't smell "feminine" or "masculine" at all. I wish I would have found this about 4 years ago. It would have been more my "style" back then. Also, this will work in all seasons - with summer possibly being a pinch cloying if oversprayed.

When I want to smell uber sexy with a heavy sweet sugar fruit floral vibe, this is my go to. It only takes a couple sprays on warm skin for this baby to blossom. There is a flower in this composition which is strong, maybe cyclamen, not sure so if it isnt to your liking you wont like this. I get a lot of melon also which I adore. It was very inexpensive and I feel carefree and de stressed when I put it on. There is also iris and some cedar. yea it sounds like a hot mess but it works on my skin, cheers

Strange dark fruity scent, oakmoss and something herbal in the background. There's a lot of wood in there as well, it's a contradiction, wet and dry at once, chiaroscuro, dark and light, old fashioned and extremely modern (not timeless). I like it but it's very odd, smells to me somehow not quite of this world, a faerie, but not a sweet flower pixie, a faerie of the old fashioned folkloric sort. A being of nature, Janus faced and unpredictable.

This has a heavy, wine-like quality that lasts for at least a couple hours, then it's very weak. I don't dislike it but I think I like Barolo considerably more, and it has a lot more going on (and lasts a long time). So, I'm not sure this one would be worth a purchase - I was really hoping that the wood notes would emerge and blend with that interesting opening! Also. if you like this you might like Black Sugar more.

I was excited to receive this perfume and expected something darker and more mysterious than this very pleasant fruity peach dominant perfume. Nice but not dramatic at all. On my skin there is no oakmoss or woods or depth. In fact, it is very similar to Saint by Kat von D.

I tested this perfume at a perfume store today and I agree its unisex....However the smell is really heavy and strong...Its a very mature scent... However I want to get it anyway because the packing looks so damm AMAZING! How creative is the bottle cap?? I just love it!

This is well worth the try. It is complex and surreal, just like Salvador D. I agree it is more unisex than feminine, but it isn't burly or audacious, just pleasantly effortlessly walks that line between the two sexes, invoking artistry to the nose.

I expected so much more from this based on the reviews.... It's a sweet & musky, fuzzy peach with dry, smoky oakmoss. I like it and it lasts all day. But that's all. That's all there is to it. The search for my perfect peach continues.

I found it nice but no so much. i can't recognize any notes in there, but some acid accord, maybe the orange note in the base. This is a scent that starts in a way and ends just in the same way. In my opinion 2/5 stars

Different and stands out. On me it is peach and the woody undertones that mix into a quite exciting scent. Just got it today - it was a bargain from Strawberrynet.com and I am sure it will be one of my favourites.

This is the most recent fragrance I purchased. Fruity, fresh, sensual, peachy. Sandalwood and raspberry notes are delightful and the bottle original and inspiring. Simply love it.

whoaaaaa ..... this is an art of having s*x. So mature so naughty in a classy way. I like the opening scent soooo much. I give it full 10.. You can only love or hate it.

The opening is quite strange (i feel some pungent smell of ammoni) but the drydown is unique, clean with raspberry, woody, slightly sweet

On a man I think this would probably smell like some funky hair product. I get diffrent pictures on a women tho.
