I had a habit of looking at the perfume bottles on the bathroom shelves of my friends houses when I was a kid. I would marvel at them, and with butterflies in my stomach, as if I did something wrong, I would take the cap off and smell them. I would try placing them exactly how they stood, and with a weird feeling of guilt, walk out of there. The perfumes I remember the most vividly, is Givenchy Organza, Kenzo Flower and this one. When I got older and started in high school, I really wanted to find this perfume, I had no idea what it was called, but I just remembered it was a blue Salvador Dali bottle. In a perfume shop, I tried describing it to a sales assistant, and she sold me a travel size pen of Laguna. I ended up loving that one as well and I appreciate that I got to try that. I forgot about the Dalistyle for years until I discovered Fragrantica.

The bottle perfectly evokes the fragrance within: playful, sassy, and absolutely weird. This is the weirdest of the Dalis I’ve tried (Salvador Dali, Dalissime, Daliflor, and Dalimix Black plus this) and also the most likely to produce a headache in sensitive people. It’s a punch of flowers and juicy, real pear, but something about the combo brings out something almost sour. Candy sour, intentionally tart, but to me inexplicable and new. It and Daliflor are clearly sisters, tart fruity florals perfect for an adventurous woman in summer. It stays fairly intense for hours, but I fell asleep in this fragrance last night and in the morning it was just the softest, freshest after-the-rain type floral.

Lucky me got a new bottle of my beloved perfume! It's my 3rd since it's launch. I love this perfume so very much, it's full of light white flowers, and there is a slightly breeze of fresh fruits in the background, it has a tiny bit of greens and aquatics in it, it is not sweet and not sour, so very perfect for my nose, and it blends so well with my skin, 12/10 :D

I love this fragrance. Usually I prefer lighter and fresher scents. There is something in this perfume that captivates and intrigues me. Even though this perfume is quite intense to my taste, I can't stop sniffing my wrist: something intoxicating, something alluring, and very romantic. It will be wonderful for evening time.

This smells more floral than citrus on me, but its a very pretty scent. I do get a fairly strong pear note. This seems more a fruity floral rather than citrus aromatic on me, but I definitely like it a lot, like the bottle too!

I uesed it 10 years ago. At that time, I recived many good comment by men. It has everything. Fruit and flowers. I don't know if I use it or buy it again..Now I like strong and special one. It is safe to gift too.

This is another favourite, I had a few bottle of this beautiful scent, I love it, and want another bottle as soon as possible :))

Here's what I know so far about the house of Salvador Dali: This house is that Type A personality in class. You can never fault them for not swinging; they swing for the fence with every perfume they release! For those of you who don't love baseball as much as I do, I apologize for the sports reference. What I'm saying is, they seem to go into every fragrance, betting to win big. They're high stakes gamblers that way. I can't help but be magnetized to that kind of energy! So often they blow my hair back! But every once in a while they flop - and they flop big! As a result, my collection keeps growing, and I continue to search for more and more in their line. Still, every time I sample the bottle like I'm opening a 'ticking' box. If you know what I mean, you are now part of my tribe. So, when I received Dalistyle, I was coming from both the breathtaking height of Le Roy Soleil, and devastating low of Dalimix Gold. With one eye squinted shut, I sprayed...waited, and sprayed again. Set the bottle down and pondered, before spraying a third time. I was shocked! This wasn't high or low - it was side ways. Yes, it tilted with my head, and went full-blown Wonka on me. On one hand, its is a delightful celebration of the perfect harmony between floral, aquatic, and fruity notes. On the other hand, I feel like I'm analyzing the scent of my favorite shampoo. I think, for certain, it is Lotus flower forward. Which is only to say, the company found an agreeable synthetic aquatic scent, I'm not mad at. But pear is listed twice in the ingredients, and darlings, I'm just not receiving that frequency. Gardenia is ever present, just like it is every time its inserted into a plane of physical reality. However, it's using its inside voice, and dare I say it, rather enjoyable whilst constrained to a softer volume. Mandarin and orange become apparent in the heart, and then are whisked away when black currant and freesia move in to play. And here lies the shower experience.....the main show. This abstergent phase seems to dominate for so long, that you take for granted its longevity, and go about your day, at peace with the notion that at least you smell clean, and you've washed your hair. Yay for you! People will know you adult-ed today! So aloof with your empowerment, you don't even realize what's happened. Peach blossom, musk and sandal wood come in the back door, and completely change the game. Suddenly, the whole creation softens to this clean, fuzzy-warm sensation. Better than dryer sheets even! The bright hues of the perfumes released, are blotted into a palette of casual pastel; just a relaxing, soapy pliability takes over. Just like that, you are moving sideways! The Salvador Dali's Great Glass Elevator can move in any direction. And I, being merely mortal, set out again for another adventure!

I blind purchased a big 100ml (3.4oz) bottle of Dalistyle, having read the generally good reviews of it on here, and it arrived this morning. I was so excited to get it! The bottle I got is a tester so it came without the lid, which is fine by me as it only cost £7.99 (around $10.00)! I have to admit, at first when I sprayed a little on my wrist I was slightly disappointed. It smelled good but not amazing to my nose and it reminded me of some other perfume, or perfumes, I've smelled before but I don't know exactly which ones! It was more citrus'y at first than I thought it would be, and a bit tart and 'clear' smelling, which I think is down to the orange and blackcurrant. It was nice, and quite spring / summer'y, but didn't blow me away. I had been kind of hoping it'd remind me of my beloved Escada 2005, which I only had one bottle of as I only discovered that, and blind bought a bottle over the internet, when it transpired that it was being totally discontinued, for some bizarre reason. Anyhoo, Dalistyle smells nothing like Escada 2005, sadly, but it does smell nice in its own way. After the initially citrus blast, around an hour or two later it morphed into a softer, slightly creamier scent which, personally, I prefer to the extreme fruitiness of the opening. It doesn't smell soapy to me, contrary to what some of the other reviewers say about it, but just soft and fresh, perhaps more like a quality body lotion in the drydown. Also, one spritz has lasted for 7 hours so far on my wrist so, on me at least, it has good longevity. I definitely prefer Dalistyle to Purple Lips, which is another blind buy perfume I got a few years ago and I didn't like that one at all so I never used it! Oh, and the bottle isn't as ugly as someone has commented about it! It's in the shape of a woman dressed in a slinky gown and the bottle colour is quite pretty. The bottle seems a bit Art Deco'ish to me and I'm sure some people would adore it! I quite like it and it's weighty enough that it could double as a cosh to whack an intruder over the head with (but then it might actually kill them!). If I had to rate Dalistyle out of 10 I'd give it a 7 perhaps, It's a subtle, clean, fruity/floral that is unlikely to offend anybody so it'd be an ideal work perfume or for just about anything actually, and it's not overpriced, unlikely many other designer brand perfumes of a similar ilk. It also lasts a lot longer on me than many of the far more expensive perfumes, some of which seem to evaporate in the blink of an eye despite their high price tags!

I bought my bottle online, It's fairly old, maybe around 15 years. I expected it to be somewhat macerated and when I got it, It had the consistency of syrup, really gelatinous. I think the floating red balls dissolved or something, but anyways, when sprayed it sort of spurts out and dribbles, so much for being atomized! It's more of a scented body gel now, so that's not great. ANYWAYS! I really only smell slight floral notes and PROMINENT pear, like a really really juicy fragrant pear! I do think it's nice, but as it dries down it's sorta plasticy and synthetic. It's a nice general wear body spray typa fragrance, especially for hot days!

I remember buying this fragrance a few years ago by impulse :) I sprayed my wrist and started to walk forward in a mall. The moment my nose got the fruity flowery cocktail to enjoy my eyebrows went up like - nice! and I turned back to get a big bottle :) It never happened to me with another fragrance. Not that Dalistyle is THAT good but the nice fresh scent really got me. It still does. No surprises here, a truly nice fragrance for hot days in a cute bottle. Not bad staying power too.

I really like this fragrance, I find it crisp and clear, very refreshing to wear during the daytime Spring/Summer. A nice aquatic fragrance, I didnt find it too overpowering as I sometimes find with other aquatics. I actually think it can be worn by a varied age range, having first been given it as a present during my teens I felt it was a nice, sophisticated scent yet I was still able to carry it off and didnt find it too old, now as a 23 year old I want another bottle!

I think you have to give this perfume at least half an hour before you make up your mind because the drydown is actually quite lovely. Initially smells like hairspray when you apply it. Then smells like stale tea whilst it dries and half an hour later smells like a perfume.

Frosty winter air. Keeps at bay. Phase 1. fresh note in J'adore + stomatologist? (some citrus stuff in stomatologist's room) Phase 2. glass of soda with ice cubes + lotus + gardenia + cucumber. Try it if you like: Acqua di Gio.

It's a light floral fruity scent. Reminds me of seaside, like many other Salvador Dali's scents. Very cool packaging. A simple everyday scent. Not good for a signature scent, because it's not outstanding enough.

Young, fresh an romantic, perfect for spring, makes me feel high!

It's now hot even in the night where I live - so it's time to use the day time perfumes even in the night. This is a nice casual wear perfume - floral and just a little fruity on my skin. The longevity is actually weak (about 2 hours) but for home use it's perfect (if I want to reapply it's just under my hand)

Celery, currants, celery, pear, celery, gardenia. The pear and currents give a fruity light sweetness. I could imagine a cool green pearlescent cocktail at the surrealist café in town.

mmmmmmmmm yum its very pleasant.. almost like watermelon on a sunny beach..its light yet with a sweetish fruity white icy cold yet warm.. its a beautiful fragrance.. perfect for hot summer days ..its fresh.. young ..and delicious ..its got melon..s watermelons.. or sweet yellow melons..its a very light perfume.. good for morning ware.. with notes of cleanliness.. woods.. and light white flowers.. pears.. sandalwood.. berries.. .. mandarin orange.. for freshness .. unfortunately the beautiful accords leave the arena.. way to fast.. leaving behind the duller notes..which turn aquatic.. soapy.. boring.. a bit powdery.. a bit stale...but on th whole its a nice perfume maybe a crowd pleaser.. edt 100 ml perfume ratting 3.9 out 5 bottle ratting 4.7 out of 5 my personal liking scale is 3 out 5

To me it was presented by the friend. Though I also prefer fresh perfume, but this too fresh for me. No, no..... It badly reacts with my skin. Scent of these perfume synthetic also irritates me even when I feel it on other people. It is very a pity, but I will not use it.

I wanted a fresh/aquatic fragrance and bought this. Big mistake. I used it for a short while before I realized it actually smells like soap. Pure soap. My nose got itchy 'cause of it as well. I learned that I'm not fond of aquatic fragrances in general.

it smells like soap of a public bathroom !!! more than young and fresh it really is irritating and totally synthetic. the only real note i recognize is pear but the rest of this fragrance is really cheap.

This perfume smells cheap to me. I can feel pear and some water notes- probabely water lily. It can cause headache. But for someone who loves water fragrances, it could by interesting

I don't like it, too. O.K., it is fresh and light, but it's not enough for me to call it interesting. Not my style, simply.

Dalistyle is the most discreet perfume you can imagine, to put it mildly. It's practically non-existing. You could say soft sillage - I say no sillage. You could say mediocre longevity - I say no longevity. It is very far from being "me". To be honest I think it's boring and without character. Don't get me wrong here, I like it. It's nice. I can't imagine anyone being offended by this or disliking it. If it works on you, it's perfect for very hot and humid conditions. I find it very, very fresh, bright, transparent. The clean quality makes it a good work perfume - maybe especially if you work in heath care, farmacy, something like that. If I should compare it to anything, it would be a typical everyday hand soap. Finally I think I understand the term "fresh-out-of-the-shower" scent - something that has always been a mystery to me. Reviewing a bottle is a little silly, but it really is stunning. Unlike many others I have a spoft spot for Dali bottles...

long awaited with going back and fourth but found a bottle while estate shopping for a good deal . initial spray is full of pear and lotus, but as it settles it becomes a pretty sweet wood floral . the only fruit i catch is pear . i adore it! smells like a beautiful early spring morning, its a very happy scent . also its not listed but i get a honey note throughout

I can ́t believe that so many girls here think that Dalistyle is not enough...I really love this fragrance and I have a loooot of perfumes, but this one caught me everytime, because i ́ts so feminine and light but also strong enough to stay with me all day long. Nothing like soap, nothing cheap. Actually is girly and classy!!!

I got a Sergio Tacchini Donna as a gift in my early 20s. I didn't like it... My friend got a Dalistyle as a gift. She didn't like it... We swapped. I loved Dalistye a lot, even though I had been wearing woody-spicy orientals. This one is so unique. Flowers everywhere. No fruity notes are there for me... (Luckily)

it ́s lovely but lasts half an hour... if you ́ll buy, take the big bottle, i had a medium one and it was not enough... it ́s light as an aquatic scent, but without that aquatic melon notes. good for day and summer wear. in me it always get complimments too! oh, and what a woderful bottle, my god!

I first got this fragrance in winter and found it lacked any strength , HOWEVER as summer comes I am finding it's subtlety mesmerizing . It is definitely a mood enhancing fragrance with depth and melodic color - however it is still very light. It has now become a favorite of mine - YUM! :-]

I absolutely looooove the bottle of Dalilight. Unfortunately I can't say this about the fragrance. Soapy-citrucy mess on my skin. I'd love to have an empty bottle of it to put on my drawer.

I like the scent, but it lasts so badly on my skin, I never even got to know the drydown. No matter how much I use, it's gone in 30 mins. Sadly, a disappointment.

Light and fruity with aquatic undertones. I find it a bit synthetic and almost like air-freshener. Definitely not for me.

Nice scent, reminds me a lot of L'eau d'Issey which I had a while ago. The bottle is gorgeous! A real piece of art!

I just smelled it today and it's so... JUICY! Hmmm, it's tasty! Got me for sure!
