We Arrived There In Early September, (Thinking The Weather Would Be A Little Cooler, Than The Usual Blistering Heat) But Alass We Arrived In The Middle Of A Horrendous Heatwave!! (50°+ Degrees) And No Matter What Perfume I Brought With Me To Wear Out, At Nightime Just Wasn't Suitable, Nor Light Enought!! And A Girl, Just Can't Survive Without Some Nice Smelling Perfume After Her Daily Evening Shower!! (Well I Most Certainly Can't Anyway) So While Out Shopping One Day In The Capital Arrecife (Way To Hot To Even Think Of Trying To Sunbathe, And Warnings Out About The Very Sand Being To Hot, To Even Walk On!!) We Discovered This Quint Little Perfumery Tucked Away In One Of The Shaded Side Street's, It's Beautiful Aroma Waiting Outside Onto The Street's Sidewalk, Enticing You To "Come In For A Nosey Around"!! I Remember The Beautiful Young Spanish Sales Assistant, And Her Welcoming Smile, As We Entered The Store!! Everything/Every Bottle Placed Immaculately In It's Place Etc!! Wow, It Sure Was A Perfume Collector's Dream Come True!! lol "I Just Hadn't Got A Clue Even Where To Start"!! Anyhow, I Was Glad When She Came Over, And Politely Asked, If She Could Try And Help Me!! Well It Was Her, That Recommended That I Try Out This One, And Her Telling Me How Different It Smelt To Anything Else She Herself, Had Ever Encountered!! I Remember My Laughter, When I Saw The Style ( 💋 Lips & 👃 Nose Bottle) Not Really Knowing What To Actually Expect!! But That Very First Spray Of Laguna, Had Already Me Totally Hooked!! And How Right She Was!! This Perfume Was Indeed Something New And Something Very Special Indeed!! I Was In Total Love ❤️ There And Then!! I Also Remember Her Kindness, In Giving Me A Few Extra Sprays Of It, And Asking Us, If We Where Going To Stay And Eat That Evening In Arrecife? And When We Said "Yes, We Would Very Much Like Too", Her Going Out Of Her Way, To Recommend A Nice Restaurant To Us!! She Then Placed A Little Sample Of Laguna Into My Hand, And Her Telling Me, To "Try It Out Firstly, Give It Length Of Wear On My Skin, And See How It Wear's On You!! This Girl Really Did Indeed Know Her In's And Out's Of Perfume Etc!! I Asked Her What Time Her Shop Closed At, And Again Her Beautiful Smile Saying 10pm Every Night!! That Night We All Did Indeed, Ate In The Restaurant She Highly Recommended To Us!! And The Charming Spanish Waiter That Was In Charge Of Serving Our Table, Actually Serving Our Meals, And Whilst He Lent Over My Shoulder, Serving My Food, Onto My Dinner Plate, Him Actually Complimenting Me On My Choice Of Fragrance I Had Chosen To Wear!! And Actually, Another Lady Sitting Behind Us, Said To Her Friend, That She Was Also Getting The Most Stunning Smell Of Someone's Fragrance/Perfume Wafting In The Warm Evening Sea Breeze!! And Her Actually Tapping Me On My Shoulder, And Asking Me The Name Of The Perfume I Had Chosen To Wear That Evening!! lol 😆 The Waiter Then Actually Bringing Me Over His Note Pad, And Him Asking, If I Could Write The Name Of It Down For Him, And The Lady Sat Behind Me, Asking That I DO The Same For Her!! Wow, My Mind Was Already Made Up There And Then, I Was Indeed Going Back To Buy Myself That Perfume Before We Caught The Bus Back To The Resort We Where Staying In!! Now On My Skin: I Certainly Get A Heady Uplifting BLAST Of Fresh Citrus/Lemons/Grapefruit, Followed By A Salty Freshness, Galbanum Leaf, There's Definitely Iris/Jasmine (White Flower's) Lily Of The Valley, Tropical Coconut, Cedar, And Finally A Dry Down Of Pure Patchouli!! And As You ALL Already know, I Just Adore Any Fragrances That Contain Patchouli!! My Advice: "DEFINITELY DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS FRAGRANCE WITHOUT GIVING IT A GOOD TRIAL RUN"!! You MUST See If It Fully Agrees With Your Own Skin Chemistry!! And When It Does, Well Oh My Goodness, Your Definitely Onto A Real Head Turner!! This Still Remains One Of My ALL Time Most Favourite Perfumes After All The Year's I've Owned And Worn It!! Simply "PURE MAGIC IN A STUNNING MASTERPIECE BOTTLE"!!! Dali I love"Love"LOVE YOUR LAGUNA!!!!!

I just bought six spray pens with different Salvador Dali perfumes (from Paris Mode) and applaud them for making ‘smalls’ available (as well as affordable). One of them is Laguna. I had it about two decades ago, and it’s as beautiful as I remember. Laguna smelt unique to me then and still does. It’s distinct from any of the fruity-florals I have. If I were to guess, I wouldn’t say fruit, I wouldn’t say flower, I’d say wood or resin. The coconut is voted dominant in this, but I don’t smell it. After disliking quite a few other fragrances with the note, I’ve come to believe that the coconut is not for me. Laguna does not smell like a coconut fragrance to me. Dali is another one of the pens, and I got it knowing full well that that scent profile (as described) was wrong for me, but I keep testing myself against these to see if they can grow on me or at least to better understand the notes/accords that put me off. (For example, there was a time I suspected dominant amber. Now I know it’s not amber. So still investigating.) My intuitive perception of this scent profile back in the day was (and I say ‘intuitive’ meaning not influenced by any marketing or fashion discourse) was that of contempt. It felt common for the time and did not come across at all as glamorous and expensive. Sniffing Dali now - still the same effect although without contempt. I imagine this for people who prefer dark interiors crowded with wooden panelling, heavy carved mahogany furniture, leather and jacquard upholstering and curtains. I could never relate to that kind of ‘vibe’. It’s not always about the maturity of one’s palate. If Laguna is ‘vintage’, it’s not ‘vintage’ like others of the Dali type are vintage. PS: I’m eating my words about Dali PdT as of May 2025. It puzzles me why I was unable to appreciate it before. And I was firm in my dislike last year. I’m not deleting my earlier notes so that whoever may be reading it could perhaps learn to be patient with perfumes over time. I’ve experienced a volte-face on several perfumes by now.

This was a favorite of mine when it first came out but I never actually bought a bottle. I was then living in Florida and I always stopped to sniff it at our local museum. Recently I’ve been buying older scents strictly for the nostalgia so I found this for a good price on EBay and ordered it. It arrived today and although it’s not as fruit forward as I remember it’s still a wonderful scent, even without the iconic collector Dali bottle. Production date seems to be 2014 from what I can find. Those of us who love powdery iris notes will appreciate this. The middle notes are what seem to stand out the most to me. I don’t really notice the lemon or grapefruit but I do detect the peach, pineapple, lily of the valley, jasmine and sandalwood floating on that familiar powdery iris and vanilla blanket. It’s a classy classic but I wouldn’t call it “old lady” or too mature. Back in its day it was created for the younger lady and there really isn’t anything similar to it sold today. I love it! However, I can’t help but notice that, at least on my skin, I keep getting whiffs of the original Egoiste for men from Chanel. Not the Platinum version but the OG Egoiste. It’s not as heavy and the notes are very different but this feels like what I’d envision an Egoiste Summer version to be had it been hosed down with iris and fruit. Egoiste has always been a true favorite of mine so I’m not complaining in the slightest. As it wears longer on the skin that softens and more of Lagunas facets come alive. This is definitely more unisex because of that. Must be the Brazilian rosewood, rose, vanilla and sandalwood that they share. Highly recommend this to anyone on the fence about ordering it to go ahead and try it. It can found at a very inexpensive price point now and soon it will be impossible to find. The bottle alone is worth having on your shelf, even if you don’t love it as much as I do.

Although I Didn't Purchase It There And Then, Rather Waiting To See How It Preformed And Wore On My Skin!! Later On That Night Whilst Out For Our Dinner, All Seated At The Restaurant Dining Table, The Waiter That Served Us, Upon Leaning Over Me, Actually Mentioned Three Times, The Fragrance I Had Chosen To Wear That Evening!! Actually Bringing A Wee Note Pad Over For Me To Write The Name Of It Down For Him!! After We Had Finished Our Dinner, We Hurried Back To The Perfumery, So That I Could Purchase That Little Piece Of Perfume Magic!! And All These Year's Later, I Still Always Make Sure, That I Indeed Have At Least Two Large 100ml Bottles Of Salvador Dali "Laguna" In My Vast Perfume Collection!! It Simply Is "DEVINE"!! Although DON'T Blind Buy It!! As You Definitely Have To Make Sure That It Is 100% Compatible With Your Skin Chemistry!! And I'm Really Pleased To Say That Laguna Is Indeed Compatible With My Own Skin Chemistry!! Whilst On Holiday That Year, I Also Bought And Discovered Two Other Fragrances: "Chanel N°19 Edp", And Also "Oscar de La Renta" And How Nice They Both Also Smelt On My Skin!! It Is Rather Sad, That Laguna Is Becoming More Harder & Harder To Sorce n Purchase!! They Sure DON'T Mke These KindA Fragrances Anymore, And Such A Shame It Is Too Loose Them!!!

(Review of a mid 1990s bottle) Bizarre. But then Salvador Dali was always a bit out there - well, the brand and the painter. Mark Buxton too. Every single note able to be picked up across the lifespan of the perfume is present in the opening. Lemons accent briefly, but the plum and tree fruit and the muguet are most immediately noticeable. The plum is watery and fleshy, the latter description only amplified by the very thick, unctuous, and heady muguet, and the tree fruit is soft and yellow. This overlaps very easily and conveniently with a jammy red rose, and the vanilla already playing up from the base. A good dose of animalic musks and starchy, cool orris slowly but determinedly make their appearances. This perfume has mass and density - its own gravitational field. It feels like an orb that hovers just over my skin, and, by getting close to it, it starts to gently but surely pull me in. It does feel planetary, a cool surface undulating from a molten core. The planet’s layers slowly peel back to reveal the amber core of those animalic musks, a vanillic and resinous and sticky benzoin, and beautifully creamy and dense sandalwood. To call Laguna beautiful is probably improper. It certainly smells good, but its character seems to have no interest in beauty except for, perhaps, the dry down and final skin scent with that heartbreaking sandalwood. Captivating is a much better word. It easily holds my attention without fail every time a wear it, every sniff making the gears in my brain turn as I approach with curiosity and questions. Excellent work.

I've decided I love this after wearing it 3 times. The first time I just didn't get it. Or maybe I didn't pay it enough attention. The second time I wore it on a hot night and I must say I think this just blooms in hot weather! I personally won't wear it in winter but for summer this is a divine option. It's different, it's oceanic but not watery, it's got a zest without being bitter, it has a hint of sweet and flowers but without either being the mien focus. I'm sorry I didn't know about this sooner. Wow I'm just really loving it. In the very beginning there is a hint of something that I get why some might find this a tad masculine, and indeed this would do find on either sex, but I find it beautiful as a woman to wear this with it's salty ocean breeze vibe with some strawberries and some tropical floral wafting in the background. I don't think I've known anyone who wears this, yet when I smell it I feel nostalgic and comforted and familiar. Love it!

Salty floral fluorescent synthetic, the start of a new genre. I like it a lot because it paints a dream the exact color of the bottle and the picture on the box. It's still water and vegetation, but painted in psychedelic colors. There's a sweet layer of juicy tropical fruits and deeper shades of tonka and vanilla, but the overall feeling of open space near a strange salty lake remains. I get total, almost impossible stillness from this - like, a vividly-colored stillness. It's a personal favorite for its wearable surrealism. On another note, I just recently wrote about Secretions Magnifiques and upon smelling it, I realized how close its salty aspect is to Laguna, if you get rid of the metallic stuff recalling blood. Salt is vital, and a the same time anti-life. It gives the fragrance the perfectly natural idea of artificiality. When I wear it on my way to the beach though, it gets pretty much alive. A real gem.

Eu ganhei o Laguna da minha irmã mais velha. Ela tinha comprado um kit com dois. Vamos dizer que como uma Artista Visual eu estava mais de olho nele mais pelo design do que pelo cheiro. Mas como meu antigo tinha acabado, ela me deu o seu extra de presente. O cheiro é bem cítrico, me traz uma vibe meio verão e talvez um pouquinho de outono. O cheiro de bergamota é bem presente no momento que se espira e com tempo vai se tornando um pouquinho doce (não algo exagerado, algo mais como uma baunilha). Não sinto nada de amadeirado nele, mas talvez um atalcado. Não sei se é o cheiro da minha pele já que todo mundo fala que tenho cheiro natural de talco de neném KKKKK Ele não exala muito. No momento que espirra sim, mas depois fica um cheiro que só se sente se você for abraçado ou alguém te der aquela cafungada no cangote. Minhas amigas elogiam ele muito e atualmente estou na procura de um que seja igual, mas exale mais

Fabulous! I've owned a bottle of Laguna for about a year and reserve it for summer weekends and holidays, never work days. I'm just back from a beach holiday during which I wore Laguna every day for 7 days. I took some other summer fragrances (much more expensive things like Orange Sanguine, Eau des Merveilles, Philosykos,Eau de Rochas) but only Laguna really satisfied me. As others have said, the individual notes don't matter as much as the overall effect, which to me is wonderfully relaxing and carefree. It helps that the lasting power is great, unlike other summer-themed fragrances. I get citrus over the top of a fruity accord (not too sweet) and a creamy coconut base. There are more notes in there but that's what I get. There is a simple charm about Laguna, as with summer cotton shirts, sandals and floppy hats. It's good to let go of the more complex things that fill our lives with noise, and just relax.

Madrona hit the nail on the head with her apt review. Laguna IS the vacation fragrance of choice of a die hard Hypnotic Poison devotee. (In other words, its perfect for me)! I get a well blended mix of creamy vanilla, subtle coconut flesh, citrus (mostly lemon but not at all sharp or acidic), clean musk and something reminiscent of beach sand. The whole concoction reminds me of laying on a beach towel on white sand, clad in a bikini, while sipping a tropical cocktail. The mingled scents of the fruity drink, coconutty sunscreen, and salty sea air assuage my nostrils with the most perfect aroma of summer. I will be wearing the heck out of this in July! Thanks Goldenfire5 for another wonderful swap! This is by far the most uniquely complex beach fragrance. It just may be the best summer scent I've ever encountered. Sillage sits close to the skin but longevity is endless (well over 10 hours)!

Oh my oh my... this one blew me away. Immediately after the first spray, I could detect something herbal almost like dried Italian herb. Not loud, but really shy. It went away almost instantly after citrus notes came front and center. I could detect mix of fruits lingering in the back. The fruit scent is fresh without being sharp and sweet without being cloying. I love this! In the middle, on my skin, I get a lot of iris and rose. They give really comfy and calming feeling to me. It feels like falling asleep in the arms of my mother. I am glad that I don’t smell too much of the coconut on the dry down. Because I have had too many cocosnuss scent in my collection. Instead, I get a balanced mix between tonka bean, vanilla, and musk. I had ordered a 30 ml bottle, after testing it, I placed another for 100 ml bottle for less than 20 Euros. It’s an excellent grab.

Laguna by Salvador Dali is a unique scent. On me the first spritz is heavily green with a bit of citrus. I don't particularly like the first few minutes of this fragrance. Lucky for me the dry down occurs pretty fast with this and it turns into a heavenly scent. On me velvety vanilla and sandalwood are the highlight with just a touch of fruit to go with it and give a bit of sweetness. I know this is toted as a summery beachy fragrance but it takes on a very warm feel when I wear it and I think it works just fine in cooler weather. And it is very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a FB buy. EDIT: The more I have worn this, the more I find the sandalwood overwhelming. In fact, the bottle is in a drawer and I haven't touched it in months. If you're a big fan of sandalwood, I think you'll enjoy this. I don't think I will be reaching for this scent again.

Wow this is utterly unique! An ouvre d'art in form of a fragrance. This is not for everybody, for sure, it's far away from the mainstream spring and summer fresh fragrances. At the top, I can definitely smell the pineapple, the lemon and the coconut in a fruity juice that I've never experienced before, there is something very mysterious resulting from all this notes combined. Yes, it has a synthetic vibe, dunno why, but this doesn't make me dislike Laguna at all. It just makes it more appealing, as something different and artsy. In the dry down, I can get the vanilla mixed with a musky vibe also in a very queer way. This fragrance couldn't match more it's brand: it is definitely the first "surrealist" fragrance I've ever tried. The bottle is a masterpiece itself. Gonna buy and try other Salvador Dali's fragrances for sure.

Just an observation, Laguna has nothing to do with Light Blue; well, maybe the blue/turquoise imagery. Besides this, nothing else. Laguna is mostly a syrupy pineapple with hints of talc and a somewhat pleasant herbal masculine undernote. It's name and visual identity has more to do with the sensations brought by a piña colada you order by the pool at a fancy resort than the pool itself. It's precious and complex, I adore its weirdness and I stand by my opinion when I say the 80s and early 90s were the best decades for fragrances. I don't think this is a summer scent at all (I live by the beach in Brazil and had people telling me Laguna is too "strong" for hotter days, unlike LB's freshness), I would gladly wear this baby all day around if my city had a proper autumn.

This is one of my go-to summer fragrances. I smelled it for the first time back in 1997, I was fifteen: my mom bought a pen shaped 10ml atomizer for me. It was November -near summer here in the Southern Hemisphere- and I took it on a trip to Iguazu Falls. Nowadays, everytime I wear it I remember the rainforest, the enormous falls, the orchids hanging from the trees, Misiones's red soil, the summer showers in the morning followed by a blistering sun and Horacio Quiroga's short stories... Someone said before this flower blooms in hot weather, and it is true. The hotter the better. Otherwise the citrus won't show up and it can end up smelling a bit like plastic.

I occasionally return here to see what people have thought and felt about my dearest Laguna. It's wonderful to see how this unrivalled perfume confounds. My favourite few words: "... a very complex and unusual composition. Haunting and instantly memorable." That is the essential thing to know about Laguna: that it is preternaturally evocative and unlike anything else, ever. People are transported by it and often unable to identify what in it is so outstandingly different. Thanks everyone for entering its strange world and taking the time to appreciate that. It's good to know there are kindred spirits.

I agree with ChristyFirefly, no discernable notes but a fresh, slightly salty, with not the scent of coconut as such but the mellowness of that note. I have a 5ml miniature and I'm planning to get a bigger bottle as I'm on an aquatic kick at the moment. It's better on me as it wears on. I know it's been around for years, but this, if its reformulated, is very very pleasant, but I'd never would have thought it was in the floral fruity category. Although I'm not an adventurer in perfume I don't play safe either so I think this is a tad unusual.

I love this perfume, its like hug of warm air. I can remember the first time I tested Laguna, it was the most amazing scent I knew, it meant freedom for me. I love the way the perfume develops and changes on me over the day. The longevity on me is very good. I have repurchased about 5 times already, definitely my signature scent. Sometimes i just sit and spray it in the air the enjoy the complexity of this perfume. On the other hand i can understand that some people hates it, as its a bit masculine and for some it can be too spicy...

C'est un parfum qui ne m'a jamais laissé indifférente. Je l'ai senti la première fois j'avais 10 ans... Je l'ai eu vers l'âge de 14 ans et je l'ai racheté vers mes 30 ans. Toujours un plaisir de le porter par tous les temps, toutes les saisons. Il me reste quelques millilitres dans ce beau flacon visage vert d'eau. Je ne le rachèterai pas, difficile ou impossible de le trouver et bon il a fait son temps pour moi. J'ai adoré son côté lessive, chaleureux et adolescence éternelle. Merci Laguna pour toutes ces années passées ensemble.

This is a very yummy fragrance. It's a totally synthetic bomb, but a fabulous one. It opens fairly citrusy and green, with the help of galbanum and lemon and dried down to a beautiful coconut/vanilla/sandalwood scent. Its bizarre - I've never really been one for Salvador Dali fragrances, but this one is just stunning. A little aquatic, also, which is strange as it isn't a listed quality. It feels like the scent Julie Adams wore as she swam in remote jungle lagoon, totally beguiling. Unique as many scents of the 80s and 90s were.

I bought this November 2020 on the principle that it’s a weirdo “classic”. The bottle is amazing. It’s a beast mode fruity party and unless you’re a human cartoon, avoid during colder months. However! It’s been gnarly hot and humid in NYC and Laguna is DELICIOUS in this weather. Added bonus of not disappearing despite hours of sweating it all off. By the end of the day running errands in the heat, my husband said I smelled like woody plums. I need to organize my perfumes for temperature rather than season or notes now.

Noses are very strange, Laguna on me has no citrus whatsoever, it is a long lasting musky woody scent sweetened by fava tonka and amber. On me the rosewood, followed by musk and sandalwood are the most prominent notes a creamy (sandalwood and rosewood) sweet (fava and amber), although not cloyingly so, scent that seems lighter than it really is. Lovely but on my skin it has no shadow of lemon, coconut or pineapple. In fact Laguna besides the creaminess has a bit of powderiness brought by iris.

Pure nostalgia. My mom used to wear this during our vacations abroad. I remember "stealing" some in the hotel bathroom and I immediately felt fantastic - and mature! (I was around 8 years old). This fragrance brings me to my happy place. Everything is nice and safe with this on. I'm older now and I bought a bottle not too long ago. Unfortunately it doesn't last long and it doesn't project much. Whatever - I will always keep a bottle for the nostalgia (oh, and the smell is nice too btw!).

God I used to adore this perfume when I was barely a teenager. My older aunts and cousins wore this every single day for an entire summer and I could not wait until I, too, could be as cool-and-hip as them. Extremely nostalgic even though I have not experienced this particular juice in over 20-years. Upon reading the reviews, it seems I am not totally alone in this sentiment... will have to purchase as there are so many childhood and coming-of-age memories associated with it.

Love this scent! Smelling it now again after twenty years, confirms why it was my signature for ten years (all year round). It smells like piña colada on the beach. Pineapple and lemon at first, then the warm vanilla comes in to join, all the while with a fresh ocean breeze present. It is fresh, citrusy, fruity, floral and salty, all at the same time. To me it is an experience, with depth and personality unlike most perfumes today. And the bottle is beautiful!

I got my hands on the first bottle after my mom mistakenly bought a different Dali variant (she's been a faithful fan since the 90s), and oh my! I was in love. It's Summer - the salt, the water, the citrus, all hugged by lovely underlying coconut with a hint of white flowers. It was out of stock in Poland for two years, and these were incomplete without this signature scent. I am so glad it's back - in 2026 it reads a bit whimsical, but that's why I love it!

What an interesting fragrance! It's not quite what I expected, but I'm not at all disappointed. It opens with sparkling lemon and grapefruit and stays citrusy for quite a while. I don't find it very floral at all and it's mostly fruit, vanilla, and woods. The dry down is warm, woody, and balsamic with creamy vanilla, coconut, sandalwood, and tonka. The tonka really makes this fragrance for me and gives it a nice, warm spiciness. Gorgeous!

Wow, this was love at first spray. This eau de perfume is the perfect balance of sweetness, citrus and freshness. I intend to wear it a lot this summer. It was a blind buy like most of my frags, and a wonderful surprise indeed. She carries all the qualities that I was hoping to find in Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess. Longevity is excellent, 10 plus hours without much fading.

Ta cena? Tohle je něco tak krasnýho a stojí to míň, než jedno posezení v kavárně. Začátek je hodně vodní, lehce citrusový, ale během pár minut je z toho krásná, krémová, slaná, kokosovo-vanilková vůně s tóny kosatce a ananasu. Vodní tóny jsou stále cítit, ale nejsou ostré a s vanilkou a kokosem se skvěle doplňují. Určitě letní vůně. Byl to nákup na slepo a nelituju.

It starts as a leaning-masculine bitter lemon or lime. Very refreshing with marine notes. Then it turns Chypre floral for a short while only to dry down to a calming holiday like coconutty vanilla. It’s definitely a hot weather and holiday scent. It is not sweet, definitely not gourmand. Could be unisex. No artificial or cheap leaning after-smell.

Recently got it as a present. When I opened the package and read the name, I expected something light and summery, definitely aquatic but eventually citric. Turns out to be simply delicious! A year-round daytime fragrance, very unique, sophisticated and elegant as well as fresh, holiday-esq and uplifting! An all-season staple for the weekends!

OMG Pure nostalgia! ❤️ I used it in the 90’s. I remember how proud I was when I could buy a full bottle of it. I found it very sexy and seductive. Reading the reviews I’m very surprised that most of you find it to be a fresh summer scent. For me it was very sweet and spicy. But maybe it’s just my taste or unability to define notes properly. 😄

O Laguna era meu sonho de consumo desde criança, via minha tia usar e achava chic demais. Quando tive a oportunidade de comprar já não lembrava muito do cheiro, mas eu me encantei com ele gosto muito de usá-lo para passeios ao ar livre. Em mim fica um leve amadeirado, mas o frescor dele é indescritível para mim. Não é um perfume para todos.

I would describe it as salty, aquatic, and unisex. I get a little citrus but it's not overpowering like some other fresh fragrances I've tried. And I love that this one is floral too. The dry down is warm and appealing. I'm not gonna lie, the bottle is what got me, though. I love love love the design. Can we get more weird bottles, please?

Love what the galbanum, iris, and pineapple are doing together. This is very unique, it's like an aquatic-amber; nothing else I have is really comparable. I would've called it Mirage or Oasis instead of Laguna for the combo of dry and watery notes. I have a small bottle and I think I need to go big!

Laguna will always hold a very special place in my heart. Repurchased it lately after many, many years and it smells exactly the same to me: minty fresh, fruity sweet, milky and woody. So unique. I love wearing this, and have bought a back up bottle - just because :)

Fulfills both the need of freshness and of warmth, it ́s simply a scent I can ́t get enough of. Love in a bottle! Too bad it ́s weak like a bodyspray compared to the 90's version, but whatever remains on the skin lingers on, and on, and on.

This was my favorite perfume back in my teenage years. It's not everybody's cup of tea. I,happen to love it.I purchased a new bottle again after so many years because I always felt like missing this smell so much!!!

So love this. I'm a model 1973 😅🌟 and this is pure nostalgia for me. As long as it is possible, this will be in my collection. This scent is like no other.... None smells like this.

Love it. it is sweet, salty, fruity but woody and some sort of dry kind of scent. Unusual, a bit old school, but still modern and interesting in my opinion. Lasts a long time.

It's summer vacation in a bottle. Light, pretty, sweet but not too sweet. Just incredibly enjoyable. :)

I have a bit of a perfume problem. There is always another perfume I have to have. Always. I have lists of other's lists of perfume to buy. Always. But in a moment this fall of addict-level negotiation, I said "Okay! From now on I will only buy perfume for the coordinating season I am buying in!"..... So, here it is, dead of winter, snow and ice on the ground, and I get whisked away with another commentary. This time with a heavy Russian accent, discussing the design house of Salvador Dali (A brand which at least fifty percent of the time - I hate to love and love to hate!), and why I have to buy Laguna. So, after dutifully nodding for twenty minutes, off into the cart it went - and cha ching! Then, I had the audacity to get physically mad at this scent because the bottle was cold from delivery, and didn't smell much like anything. Here's the bottom line: This perfume craves heat, and clams up in the cold. It was silly of me to ask for anything more. Embraced in warmth, the lemon is brilliantly tart, the pineapple is luscious, the grapefruit is bright, and the Snozzberries taste like Snozzberries! (Wink.) Seriously though, raising the Fahrenheit is essential to develop creaming chords of coconut, vanilla and sandalwood. Lily of the Valley has its chance to naturally cleanse, and musk with cedar do their part in grounding all those brassy top notes. I realize this is technically a 90s' perfume, but '91 was really just the 80s' attic space - waiting patiently to break out with some fresh effervescence after the last 10 year pounding we received with some real power scents and olfactory grenades. Remember in the eighties, movies tried to convince us you could break glass with really high-pitched sound? No, that was tuberose, gardenia and a high bred jasmine, that could be sensed in outer space! For our own peace of mind, we had to back off into the arenas of more "natural" scents. You're welcome, because things were getting pretty out of hand! So, drawing to a close, there really is a season for this, and when everything is hot, and humid, and sticking to the ground, Laguna will be there, like it has been for the last thirty years: bubbling to the upmost layer of ethereal optimism, and hopefully allowing a deep breath; a moment of peace; or a long pause after the loudness of the world has weighed our shoulders for far too long.

Salvador Dali Laguna opens with a blast of fruits. I get lemon citrus, for sure, and pineapple. I also detect an aromatic note -- almost a mintiness -- but there's no mint, so maybe it's the greenness of the galbanum...? There's also an aquatic saltiness present, which seems to fit with the name "Laguna," but it doesn't quite head into ocean-aquatic territory, falling just short of being aquatic like Armani Air di Gioa, Roberto Cavalli Paradiso Azzuro, or Gres Cabotine Eau Vivide. But there's definitely a cool saltiness present along with the fruits. Then, as it continues to dry down, Laguna takes a turn. It morphs into a warm, tonka with a rich plum note (and a hint of orange). At this point, I kept sniffing my wrist and trying to figure out what it reminded me of... Then I noticed that some of my Fragrantican brothers and sisters see a similarity to Burberry Brit, and I agree: after that fruity-aquatic opening, the drydown is definitely reminiscent of the orange-almond-tonka Brit. Overall, though, Laguna is a bit too split-personalitied and disjointed for my tastes; I prefer either fruity-floral perfumes, salty aquatics, or the orange-almond-tonka loveliness of Burberry Brit. But Laguna is definitely interesting!

Marc Buxton was one of the most influential perfumers of the early 1990's. His works weren't necessarily best-selling, but they acted like underground superstars, in the same way that original indie bands like the Pixies or Pavement did. Laguna, released under the Salvador Dali house, seems to have more influence than one might think. Don't believe me? Get a sample. Smell that metallic, watery-pineapple accord? Think of all the fragrances that utilized that same accord: Polo Sport, various Creed fragrances, Eternity for Men (and women), and there's even a hint of that accord in Azzaro Chrome. Laguna is essentially a creamy fruity-floral with a big woody-metallic note and a watery twang; it's clearly a 90's creation, but it never turns grey or dusty - it stays clear and blue to this day. And that shows the power of just one accord that can be used in so many different ways. I've come to the conclusion that I probably wouldn't wear Laguna, but it would work perfectly as a masculine with character. Guys, don't be afraid to try it... it's strong, long-lasting, and has just as much testosterone as the anorexic "pour homme" aquatics of the mid-90's.

Many people have made the association with bug spray. I did, too, when I first got it. Thin, synthetic, fruity bug spray with a weird sharpness that’s not quite ammonia but something unpleasantly Windexy. So back of the closet it goes. Much later when we get our annual summer heat dome, I was looking for fragrances to try in the extreme heat. I totally overspray it for that alcohol evaporating chemical reaction and, voila, the extreme temperature fast-forwards that bug spray opening and there’s this spicy woody fruity middle part I never knew existed. Like you’ve been swimming in a salty lagoon of tropical fruit and are surrounded by an exhaling forest. The citrus musk clings to your skin like a fruity drink thrown on you in anger. THIS must be what Mark Buxton was going for: citrus, musk, spice, and something not quite boozy and not quite aquatic. I still get that sharpness but it doesn’t have quite the potency in high heat and reads as refreshing instead of Off-putting. Anyway, nice save, Heat Dome. And of course the bottle is gorgeous. Tiffany blue turquoise surrealism. Just looking at it evokes being cryogenically frozen.

One one arm I sprayed this one, the original Laguna, and on the other the Laguna Maravilla (EDP, meant to replace Laguna EDT). I pick up a bit of a synthetic plastic note in the opening, and I was half expecting this as I read other people smelled it too. It’s not enough to turn me off and after the opening it fades away, what’s left is a lemony-vanilla aquatic with a sandalwood base. I like it. A lot. Both share the same DNA and Laguna is fuller, more tropical and sweet; surprisingly complex for a cheapie (I picked my 30ml up for $10). Maravilla smells genderless; a bit brighter and maybe more versatile. I can imagine wearing this in the Spring and Fall as well as Summer. They are different in other ways, and I’m having a hard time deciding which I like better. If I had to pick at this moment, I would go with this one, Laguna. It feels a little bit more beach-y and summery. Surprisingly long lasting for an EDT. And I still think the bottle is a quirky piece of kitsch, but it's also very cute in the 30 ml size.

Sweet, transparent, quirky aquatic weirdness from Mark Buxton--the opening can be kind of off-putting, but if you stick around, good things come from this, if you don't overspray. The opening--plastic phantom orange blossom, soap musk and aldehydic hairspray--only lasts about 15/20 minutes before the good stuff starts in, with a limpid jasmine on top of coconut, vanilla, and sandalwood in an intriguingly transparent composition that gives loads of "what is that good smell/oh that's me" during a day's wear. I think this is supposed to do a gauzy dance around you, so keep that in mind. The summers are not getting any cooler where I come from, so this is a great choice on days when the heat is making me especially miserable. Since I can't beat it, I might as well join in. Mr. Buxton just doesn't make bad perfume, so hang with this and let it develop, especially if you don't love the opening. Just go easy with it, and don't overspray.

Sad, depressing, traumatic scent. Synthetic. I've grown up in a communist country and it is how old (80-s) household goods store smelled (the plastic note - buckets, cheap lemon and vanilla essences, nettle shampoo... - all in one room). It smells of: lemon essence + vanilla essence (like a mix of fragrances on the kitchen shelf where I store essences, also rum essences - almost like poppy seeds cake filling!) + menthol & anise candies + wintergreen (or some kind of rheumatism ointment) + nettle shampoo + nearly melting plastic + and finally ether !!! (difficult to describe sweet chemical scent : anise? + rum? + almond? + solvent?). Lemon essence is the main note. After spraying I feel like ready to make dough. And then comes melted plastic, shampoo, menthol & anise and ether...I've tried many times... Not my lagoon. Lagoon?? PROS: carcinogen free!! (no benzophenone, BHT nor ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate)

First time I'd tried "Laguna" was 25 years ago. Me and my best friend were on our way from the school. We entered a big department store and spent some time sniffing the fancy bottles of perfumes. Surprisingly friend of mine gave me a weird "nose-like" bottle and told me "try this one". And from this particular moment my perfume world completely changed. It was a shock. I was not prepared for this kind of scent. It was so delicate, clean, aquatic, so "green" and subtle! It was a love from the first spritz. Of course, first perfume I've bought for my own money was "Laguna". I used to wear it for years, forgetting it for some periods, but always coming back to it. Maybe it is just a nostalgia, but for me "Laguna" is a best fresh scent I ever had. It smells like youth, happiness and freedom, like a vacance on the exotic island. "Laguna", after so long time I'm still in love with you.
