Purplelips Sensual

For me, this is a gorgeous scent. I liked it right from the first spray but it grows and grows in me, as I'm wearing it. And I'm reaching for it very often compared to other fragrances I have. Yes, it's heady, edgy and 'serious' and certainly sensual but not 'sexy'. It's a perfume with a character, one might say. Everytime I'm wearing this perfume at work(I'm teaching adults at night classes), people are inhaling deeply over and over again. Purplelips Sensual is mostly suitable for cold weather, for mostly for nights but suitable for daytime too. It could be worn by younger ages as well, i think, it's quite a modern perfume. Cinnammon is the prevailing note that softens with the time through its mix with a soft orchid. There is also a Bell'd' Opium-like aromatic Sandawood note present in the drydown. The drydown comes quite early and it's lovely. I also smell black current and a tiny bit of pepper. I love this scent more and more as I'm wearing it.

This one lives up to it's name---"Sensual" is definitely the moniker for it. From the first spray I am enveloped in a heady cloud of black currant, freesia, and a hint of cinnamon that quickly warms into a rich, resinous, opoponax-amber sensual blend...it wafts around me, lingers sensually, and makes me feel divine. The drydown is still all opoponax, sandalwood, amber, and a hint of patchouli that is just creamy and sexy and lovely. This COULD be too heavy for a hot summer day (maybe just a half spritz for that!) but I can see it being suited for fall/winter, or a sexy night out. It is still going strong at 8 hours on me and I can see it lingering for at least another 2-3 in this soft, sweet, resinous cloud of delight. A++ ---my first Salvador Dali scent, and it's a WINNER.

i bought this unsnnifed because i liked the composition of the notes,and i was satified,it is awoody fragrance,not heavy in character,on my skin i get the smells of pepper ,orchid and cinnamon,with ahint of violet.i wish it was longer lasting,and its not a difficult to wear fragrance, i think it could be worn easily summer time..reminds me allitle bit of lancomes miracle forever

This is my second favourite from S.Dali right after Dalimania and before Dalissime. It is a beautiful oriental-like, fragrance that develops nicely. Indeed sensual! First it seems a little aquatic to me, then there are cinnamon, pepper, vanilla and resin. Sometimes I can detect fruits...Highly recommended!

Easy to love. Blackcurrant, cinnamon, and freesia take the lead. Perfect winter scent, and layers great with my fresher blackcurrant scents, too. Opoponax in good measure. Don't miss it if you're into balsamic perfumes.

I smell quite a heavy Almond in this perfume too! And maybe even Marzipain or something that smells like that! So it is much more a dark gourmand than I ever thought!!

In response to Pattyk: they do not smell the same at all. Purpelips sensual is somewhere between gourmand and cinnamon. Purplelips regular is more floral.

What wonderful notes! I highly aprove the IDEA of the frag, dark, almost gothic, sharp and sexy, but the realisation probably reflects the low budget that they got to make this one... the sillage and lasting power are poor on me, and the composition seems a bit chaotic. This is certainly a cousin of Purplelips, only that you have spices and resins instead of fruits and lilac, which is a good change. In the beginning pepper, violet and blackcurrant from the top notes are predominant. They give the mixture a very strong, almost masculine sharpness. In the middle the cinnamon enters and rules from now on, accompanied by a lovely, but very short song of violet warmed up by oppoponax. I wish it could stay longer... The base is hardly detectable to me. I don't get much vanilla, maybe a tiny little bit, nor the explicit sandalwood, but it's all in all definitely woody in caracter. There is something beautifully mysterious in the scent,and it is virtually what I imagine a feminine woody should be, so in some moments I simply adore it, but by now I dream about getting the same but done properly, one day... I'm going to wear this one, though, I even got some compliments already.

Hmm.. Purplelips Sensual... I keep buying "purple" perfumes lately.. All of them blind buys and also good choices. Back to Purplelips Sensual.. I bought this after reading up on Salvador Dali fragrances here, because I really liked another Dali blind-buy based on the reviews here - Sea & Sun In Cadaques. I'm not familiar with Allure Sensuelle, so I cannot say if it is similar or not. After spraying I thought it is rather similar to 3121 Prince perfume (which is seriously growing on me), a sweeter and tamer version of it, not necessarily the same notes or smell, but rather the "vibe" of it... if that makes any sense. I get the "men fragrance" idea; it can be mistaken for a man's perfume, not only in the beginning, but in the drydown too. It is pretty sweet, it's oriental and it has pretty good sillage and lasting power on my skin. I get the cinnamon and the woody base, maybe a bit of violet and some pepper. I can't wait to try this in colder weather; it should do really good, because I already like it a lot now. I'd say this is a safe blind-buy, well worth the very affordable price.

A splendid fragrance, if only the lasting power was better! Anyway, the smell is so relaxing, cozy, warm and soothing I really enjoy it and do not complain about its longevity - it seems Purplelips Sensual make it up by the lovely, balmy and woody sweet scent. True, it appears to be gourmand-spicy thanks to cinnamon and vanilla aroma mixed with sandalwood. It is one of the modern fragrances that seem to appeal to me a lot. Spraying it on a scarf will make your morning or evening Indian summer walk a real sensual pleasure. Recommended! EDIT: Another great thing is that when I sprayed it on the palm of my hand, after a long while I got a wonderful, intoxicating smell similar to Zino Davidoff, which I absolutely adore on men! Wow, in this case I know how to bring back the memories without actually turning to this extremely masculine Davidoff perfume :)

Purplelips Sensual is a successful flanker in the sense that the essence of the original remains, but it is it's own distinctive fragrance. I consider both to be evening fragrances, but Sensual would definitely give a lover of the original a new facet to enjoy. As with the original it has that same fruity, "purple" smell akin to Forbidden Euphoria. The main difference lies in the intensive, almost gourmand cinnamon note. Aside from that, Purplelips Sensual is woodier and overall more "Oriental". Drydown is something akin to mulled wine. Most likely the berries + cinnamon. I personally do not get a masculine impression from this fragrance.

I dont like Salvador`s perfumes.For me almost all of them are boring,no sillage and lasting power.I decided to buy blind this,because i was searching for something not so commersial and i am very surprised in a good way.The first frag from SDthat i like.It is not wow fragrance,not at all,but interesting enough compared to all these sugar crap on the market.I can smell the cinnamon and looots of opoponax with little amber and orchid.It is warm and cozy,i think is sexy in a very intelligent way.Very bad sillage and lasting power though.I have to spray it every 30 min.

I don't love but like it. It's projecting soft on my skin and a little masculine at least with my chemistry. It resembles in my opinion the most 3121 of Prince also a quite masculine fragrance. But i love to wear man perfume so this is not a waste of money for me. I'm terrible in detecting the ingredients. But not sensual at all in spite of the name. It becomes a skin scent within minutes so for me a 1 time purchase. I like my perfumes loud, very loud and heavy. The vintage 80 perfumes are my favourite. Power Bombs.

I have a few Dali perfumes and this one is my favorite. I get black currant, pepper and cinnamon, not a fiery cinnamon but a warm one. It is also sweeter than I thought it would be which I think is probably the vanilla orchid. That sweetness though is balanced with the warmth. I also get the opoponax and woods on the drydown. This is a very pleasant perfume, not too spicy with moderate longevity and sillage on me. An inexpensive blind buy. I'd wear when it's a little on the chilly side out, night or day.

I tried this one by mistake - thank God we are humans and we do mistakes! I didn't enjoy it upon the first sniff, there was something rather synthetic to me. But once it settled? Delicate cinnamon sprinkled on a creamy, balmy skin. 12 hrs longevity in this case would mean 12 hrs having my skin smelling very inviting. Well played. For this price it's a steal. 8/10

it is very inexpensive and i bought it blindbuy.perfect for cold winter nights,walking on snow,maybe theatre-cinema:)storng cinnamon-a bit sweet but not sticky.woody way close to skin,comfortable.longlasting and good sillage.

Purplelips sensual is a warm, rich, spicy and purple scent. It's lovely! Nutmeg is listed in the description, but not in the notes. To my nose is seems very much present. I get mostly amber, orchid, opoponax, nutmeg and cinnamon with some woods. The violet is very much in the background, luckily, since I am not a huge fan of violets in perfume. I am not sure about the blackcurrant. I usually find that synthetic fruits rarely smell anything like the real thing. There is a slight fruity aspect in ps though, I'll give it that. I do not smell the cinnamon as heavily as voted either, but once again, cinnamon in perfume rarely smells as beautiful as I'd like it to. Cassia (Cinnamomum cassia) is my favorite essential oil, but I am yet to find a perfume that has a similar note feautured. Please let me know if you have any tips Purplelips does have a slight masculine edge, but it is a beautiful perfume. Considering getting a backup as this is dirt cheap and quite unique!

Piercingly strong spices with an amped up opoponax; the opening is hard to get past, and it takes awhile to get through. Dry down is softer (hello patchouli and orchid) and and more feminine like others have noted. For cold weather only. A cheapie with major performance.

It is wearable but kinda too peppery for my taste. I can't really smell the cinnamon, the violet note is also weak so it's mostly opoponax and patchouli on my skin. Lasting power is mediocre so I'm giving it away. Try before you buy.

the synthetic notes had be sneezing a lot Its very pleasant but I couldn't get used to the texture and it wasn't too long lasting

This one is sort of similar to Jil by Jil Sander..but not that special.

I know some people don't like bad reviews. And I very rarely leave them on here. But if I can save someone from spending their money unnecessarily, then I will tell the honest truth about this fragrance. The blurb describing this perfume is one big fictious, story. As there is no; Black Currant, Pepper, Violet and Freesia. Or any Cinnamon, Somalian Opoponax and Vanilla orchid; nor any Patchouli, Sandalwood or Amber. Its all a lie. What this is, is a lil ole funky, vapid cocktail of a insipid, chemical mess. That is so weak and bears absolutely no resemblance to what the blurb says and I kid you not. It would not even do the job as a toilet spray. Nope! I'd throw it in the trash but the bottle is nice as least and I won't burn a hole in the ozone layer or let it end up in landfilll. No wonder discounters are heavily flogging the stuff at $5! It absolutely terrible. A huge waste of money. Ugh

Masculine is the first thing my daughter said when sprayed this perfume . Wait I said to her it will get better...it was a blind buy off strawberry net and the notes looked great . Well its been on my skin for hours and it is as masculine now as it was at the start , and sadly kinda gross..so sad ...reminds me of Angel which I hate . No sandalwood which I wanted ...just a lingering dissapointment.

This is very very masculine, I would never have guessed its for women. It doesnt matter at all if you like it. I can wear masculine scents, but this one is a bit to generic male cologne. I like vetyver and boss bottled in the world of manfumes, but this one, not so much. Its spicy and aromatic,faint sweetness. My partner likes it, so I gave it to her. Nice bottle tho.

Spicy resinous and sweet wood scent. Purplelips Sensual evolves very slowly and is rather linear. I would call the scent more masculine in the opening, just with more feminine drydown on the skin after the very long day. So it’s woody and perfectly unisex with more than a moderate sillage for good four hours, moderate sillage further on and staying power from early morning into the night (it is very prominent on the skin even after full 12 hours+ day). Late autumn and winter scent, more for the short and murky days. I don’t see it as a solemn evening or nighttime scent though. Mostly I get opoponax and vanilla orchid. The last one definitely is there for balancing all other notes, making them more tamed and softer; so it is not that prominent, but definitely is in there. Patchouli and cinnamon give very persistent spicy woody base with all their depth and radiance. Black currant balances the perfume out on the cooling side, so it does not get very heavy and stickily sweet, so this perfume is balmy, but with its cold side. All the rest of the notes I find more as a background to emphasize the qualities of the main players. Well, and the drydown I find more floral, almost woody rose kind of floral. Nice and interesting, rather unique, however for my liking the spicy woodiness seems slightly annoying, too persistent and linear.

I had bought this untried, based on the notes, but, sadly its just powder, powder, and then loads more powder on me. I find this unpleasant. If anyone in Australia wants to swap with me, for anything on my lists, please message me. This bottle is new, has had a maximum of 5 sprays. I'd love to smell this on someone it really works on, because the note combination is lovely.... Edit: My mother has tried this, after I left it at her place, and she loves it. She says the first blast is strong, but after that she's getting a lovely powdery trail, and being a "more mature" lady, this is completely her style. Powder is a big no-no for me, but a must for her. Ah well, its just as well there's no shortage of scents available to cater to all tastes. She may enjoy the full bottle with my blessing.

It earns the sensual title without being cloying or musky. Is there cinnmon? It must be perfectly balanced. Recently this has won my favour over a bottle of Flora Bella (and all the others, God help me) My husband said 'what is that woody scent?' and came to investigate, whereupon he declared it quite the best perfume I had been wearing in the warm (Southern hemisphere) weather. Is it masculine? I feel rather womanly when I wear it. Whatever the gender its well endowed. This perfume is inexpensive, not cheap, it doesn't fade to Lux soap and I could see myself buying it again. Pack it with your softest batik, your hippie chic beads and take it somewhere tropical.

No me gusta para nada. Me decidí a comprarlo por tantas buenas calificaciones y lo que describían las usuarias de éste sitio, pero termino muy desilusionada. lo siento como una colonia barata de hombre mayor. No le encuentro nada sensual, solo olor a hombre y pasado de moda Solo en la fase final, justo antes de morir en mi piel encuentro un olor agradable, cálido y dulzón. Pero todo su desarrollo es horrible en mi piel. Me gustan las fragancias gourmand, pero a ésta no le encuentro esas características. No se, el precio es bajo y la duracion resulto muy buena, pero no recomendaría comprar a ciegas.

The cinnamon is prominent, which I appreciate. The berries play a boozy tune, it reminds me of an Amethyst flanker, but this one is more suitable for me because of the spice. Cinnamon is very nostalgic for me. I think there might be a little something animalic on the bottom of it. The opening is VERY cardboard-y which took a while for me to figure out. I don't think I dislike it... although it's kinda funky, a little damp smelling? Edit: SPICY MARKERS.... not scented markers just that smell alcohol based markers have... with pepper.... yikes.... But I keep going back for another sniff.

I absolutely adore this fragrance....it is a split personality half masculine/half feminine...opens like a men's woodsy fragrance, and then quickly becomes VERY feminine woodsy and warm with a bit of spice and sweet. When I first tried this it really threw me, but now it is one of my favorite woods fragrances. I love that it is not too manly and not too foo-foo. It is just right!

Purplelips Sensual is a perfume that I would recommend to older women because I feel I'm too young for it. I like it but it's not me at all when I smell it. I think I would wear it after 20-30 years. It's pretty strong and name Sensual is very accurate for it. It has this mature sensualty. It even has something masculine in it but nonetheless it's only for real women.

QUESTION: I just purchased this one, blindly because I love cinnamon in my perfumes.....does Purplelips edp and Purplelips Sensual smell the same. Is it worth buying them both? They both seem to have good characters in them but I do not want a perfume that smells exactly like the other....Thanks!

At first sniff it has the vibes of the green classic Colors de Benetton but it's not the same scent, just a distant reminder of it. Unfortunately this gorgeous Purplelips Sensual EDP doesn't last longer than 2 hours on me. Shame as it's quite unique. 🍇💋

Ok, this is what Pour Homme was becoming before the Vetiver attacked me.Just lovely, spicy-sweet and powdery. Much better!
