Acqua Essenziale Blu

BLU has the similar aromatic, fresh, and aquatic nature of the original Acqua Essenziale at the very front of this scent. However, there's also something seductive and mysterious going on in the background of the scent that's reminiscent of Bleu de Chanel and the original Armani Code. Further back, and you finally find a sweet nature to it that reminds me of Versace Eros. Don't let that throw you off, though. BLU is generally a fresh and spicy scent, with a subtly sweet and balsamic nature to it. With that in mind, this thing isn't a permanence beast in terms of projection and isn't cloying so long as you don't over spray it. BLU leaves a subtle presence that can be worn casually or to a date, and is fresh enough to be worn in warmer weather despite it's deeper base. This is generally a warm weather scent and will be noticed the most when worn in the summer from my experience, but you can pull this off in the spring as well. It garnered me a decent amount of complements, if that's what you're looking for. Not only did I find the some girls really liked this, but a lot of guys would be curious as to what I was wearing as well. Overall, a great scent of designer quality. I actually purchased this back when I worked in Macy's, and they were selling this, and it's two flankers, for a designer price tag. I still got it cheap thanks employee discounts. The point is, this is now being sold much cheaper at places like TJ Maxx without a reduction in the quality of these colognes. So if you're looking for a good scent on a budget, then consider this.

Upset with myself I didn’t get this beautiful blue sooner. I’ve been in the fragrance game for nearly two decades and absolutely adore blue fragrances and somehow Salvatore Ferragamo’s Acqua Essenziale Blu has avoided me since its release in 2014. I have always been curious about it since it has had high praise as a Blue fragrance and as well as the creator of it being the absolute legend Alberto Morillas, I enjoy so many of his works.. Anyway today it popped up at my local rack store and I did not hesitate to blind buy it. I opened it up in my car once I left the store and gave myself three quick sprays. The A/C immediately started blowing this absolutely gorgeous scent all around the inside of my vehicle. All I could do is sit back and tilt my head back and grin while my nose was completely enveloped with the rush of this amazing fragrance and I thought to myself how did I not have this beauty in my life a long time ago. In my opinion this is one of the best very affordable blue fragrances that exists. It does blue in a soft and silky smooth sexy way, it’s slightly unique and all the notes come together so well. Another thing this stuff has great performance and sillage, I was pleasantly surprised and it just made me fall in love with the fragrance even more. If you enjoy a good Blue style fragrance I’d say this one is definitely a safe blind buy for the price point.

An appreciated member of my collection. Sometimes a great value scent with a lot of performance features is better than higher end collection mates. There is something about grounded, down to earth ways that can exceed using exceptional products. Those more costly characters are solid elements of my rotation, still, a frag like SF's AE Blu wins a lot of situational yardage. Ferragamo was striving to bring the house into range of every-man's wallet and still provide something exceptional. The nose Morillas listened closely and banged out some champion designs. Acqua Essenziale Blu is fun to wear in comparison to Aqva by Bvlgari. I enjoy experiencing the similarities and differences in how they progress through a day. Aqva costs more than twice as much and is better overall, but Blu beats it in some angles and does things Aqua can't on some wears. Spraying cheaper yet quality cologne holds a certain joy - and reserves for costly juice an eminence it is due. Blu's mix of water & land is actually exceptional. The synthetic aspect is caught in some sniffs; I work with it in understanding that is part of the essential reality of this blu water. What I especially like about Blu is the muscle the woods put in the water, the balance of land and sea and the dependability of the performance in varying weathers and situational factors.

I found this at Burlington’s are pretty cheap, and I’ve been curious about it because I really respect Ross from TLTG’s opinion. And, I do love the risk of blind buying, and seeing what you get. It definitely happens when I do I get a fragrance that I really like it first, and then I get super tired of it really quick, like art of universe. And then sometimes I’ll get one that I find to be really generic, like this fragrance, but as I’ve tried it a couple of times I’ve really become infatuated with it. It took some getting used to, and I love that aspect of fragrances. I’ve become a collector, so having this fragrance in my wardrobe is pretty cool. And I don’t really get the direct comparisons to Dylan blue, but if I was just accumulating a collection for yearly use, and I already had Dylan blue, then this one would be redundant for simply application and versatility. Not saying either one is better than the other, I kind of see them as the Beatles in the Rolling Stones. You’re probably gonna prefer one over the other, but still enjoy both.

I'm a big fan of versatile scents, and couldn't be happier with this blind-buy cheapie. After a fresh, vibrant opening (which is uplifting but not super unique), Acqua Essenziale Blu heads in a direction that isn't in lock step with other "blue" fragrances. This is a classy blue. There's a spiciness and backbone that gives this juice enough gravitas and longevity to be taken seriously. I would not recommend this as a "summer freshie", though it could function that way when needed. Rather, I consider this to be a signature-scent worthy fragrance that has the complexity and performance to be worn year-round. At less than $30 for a 100m bottle, this one easily holds it's own with others more than three times the price. Backup bottle worthy. For this price: 5/5. P.S. - I've read that co-flanker Acqua Essenziale Colonia is also excellent, and it's on my current wish list. Alberto Morillas, the nose behind the OG Acqua Di Gio and the more recent ADG Absolut, created this entire line. This genre of fragrance is right in his wheelhouse.
