Attimo Black Musk Pour Homme

This is wonderful to wear this time of year - early Spring, ahh :) It's different than the usual Spring fragrances that are often very green with notes of vetiver, patchouli, grassy and piney/woody. Don't get m wrong I love green fragrances and probably its' my favorite genre to wear. But I have enough of them already and thus, I started adding musk fragrances to my Spring rotation. I bought 5 musk fragrances recently and Attimo Black Musk is my favorite. ABM is not an animalic musk. This is spicy-fresh, clean, herbal and masculine fragrance. Suitable for all situations and seasons. The musk is their but in the background and most detectable in the dry down at the 1 hour mark. If you prefer a stronger musk I suggest you layer ABM with the legendary Kiehl's Musk Oil. Remember, I said the musk oil, which is extremely strong, especially vintage batches. Avoid the the spray which is very weak, nearly like water in a bottle. The only issue with ABM is the performance is lagging. I get 2 hours of sillage/projection and then it becomes a skin scent. I don't mind re-applying. But if you like your men's colognes to last longer, this might disappoint you. But again, I get olfactory fatigue quickly with a lot of my fragrances. I guess my brain is wired to avoid scents quickly. Which sucks as a fraghead. I envy folks that can smell their fragrances all day. Scent 4/5 Longevity 2/5 Versatility 5/5 Value 3/5

It smells very good. A clean musky scent. Doesn't smell animalic as others have claimed. A soft scent which projects for 2 hours then a skin scent for another 2 hours. If you decide to wear it during summer nights then you can get more longevity. To me it smells better during cooler weather and has got compliments too while it lasted. Thumbs up from me. Edit - Oct '22 It lasts longer than I remember. Wore it to work at 7:30 am and I could still detect it around 6 pm. So the performance of my bottle has improved from the last time I used it 3 years ago.

this fragrance in a nutshell......walking through an UN-USED...i stress UN-USED,UNOCCUPIED BARN...yes a BARN on a farm...lol....and not in a repugnant way by any means....just imagine walking through a clean BARN with fresh hay placed everywhere and the smells that would come of that.....its a lovely scent.....it lasts days and days on clothing and is average on the skin IMO.......SCENT 8.5/........STRENGTH/LONGEVITY 8.0......a natural earthy musky dusty dried grassy scent.....GOOD DAY AND SEASONS GREETINGS

Update: It's now going for $300+ on ebay so I assumed it's discontinued. Tho still enjoy it not worth $300 so don't be duped.

I got this long time ago, when I could not even find it in the fragrantica data base to review it. I do not find any dirtiness on the musk at all, but well I guess everyone has a different sense of smell. I like the opening, nothing dirty about it, and so far after two hrs. is drying down nicely, I have been complemented twice so far which also surprised me and I was even asked the named of it. I guess I will be reaching for this one more often.

I don't know guys. On my skin the musk really showed itself pretty strong. It has a very animalic butthole type aroma.. Not to be crude. The more it dries down the better it smells, but the opening was pretty nasty smelling to me. it goes from nasty skunk/civet anus to a clean scent. It's a pass for me. Scent 2/5 opening 1/5 Dry down 3/5 Performance... I don't remember. Probably average or a little above.

Picked this up recently from an online retailer - you know the one. Basically, I had no idea that it had existed. I have a fondness for very dark yet warm scents especially leathers, tobaccos, tonka, cardamom, musk, etc. The most obvious and best darker formula to come out in years in my opinion, based on all grading factors, is La Nuit from YSL. That's why I was a bit intrigued to find this as I never heard of it. I own the original Attimo and it has been a very good go to for me for most daily occasions, a very flexible scent good for many situations and very energetic and vibrant while still having a unique character of its own. That's what I reached for this. Day 1, first 10 minutes of trying it out I like it very much. It is not harsh or overtly animalic like some might suggest here. In fact, from my opinion, I do not sense a super strong animal note- it plays second string and supports the other notes very well in the mix. Very much unlike Kouros, which oh man is so animal smell it smells like pis. This bottle is warm, cozy, and manly. It does have a soapy soft dry down but does not go to a detergent smell, it remains very masculine and not powdery, it truly is comfortable musk without being too agressive or overpowering like many of the odd oud scents around. This is a good go-to for fall and winter nights but just as suggested, not great for a warm Spring or Summer day. I would not pass this up if you find it as a value buy.

I really like the original Attimo, great summer fragrance. I had samples I took with me to Latin America and still associate this one with Ocean, Flowers and good times. Attimo Black Musk was a blind but for $22.00 for the full size and I am not disappointed! Scent 5/5 - Musk is very soft and mild on my skin. I find it more flowery then spicy. Great for day or night. Does not last long, 4-6 hours. I still would recommend it. Can not really compare it with anything but would put it in the same group with Prada L'Homme and Armani Stronger With You

All I have to say is wow This smell just like Ferragamo attimo l'eau with is the summer time version of attimo This have a pimento note really nice You can find this at your local tjmaxx or Marshalls If you see it don't think about it just buy it

There is nothing extraordinary here... nothing animalic , nothing barn like... a bit boring. Reminds me Aigner Blue Emotion mixed with X-centric.
