Emozione Rosa Orientale

This is getting harder to find, and the price is going up. However.....Armaf just released Tag Her Donna Di Terra. I kept wondering why I'd smelled it before. The notes are simplified, just pink pepper, citrus, spicy notes, rose, and patchouli. But wow, if it's not spot on as a good dupe for this scent!!!! I'm thrilled! Armaf makes some great dupes, and the price of their scents is around the 25-40 dollar range. If you miss the Emozione rosa oriental, give the Tag Her Donna Di Terra a try!

I just got my bottle in the mail and wanted to give a quick first impression. This is a very high quality niche smelling fragrance. It’s very dense and natural smelling and lacks the vague and generic character that I feel most designer fragrances exhibit. To my nose this is vanilla dominant but I can still pick out every note listed except for the Oud which I think is nonexistent. The rose is second and it has a tart aspect that I think is from the orange blossom.

It is truly amazing perfume which surprise you with a very versatile scent with quite impressive longevity. Its a first oriental perfume I found so fresh actually. Sweet and powdery at the same time. The leather is felt all a long, so make sure you like it. Unfortunately perfume has been discontinued, but wonder why, because I see no reason for such a nice and so currently trendy scent to be gone.

I really wish someone else would review this gem. I'm dying to read someone else's take on it. I've been wearing this daily for a few weeks now and really love it. It's very fresh and clean. It's heavy on the musk. After about an hour it becomes a powdery skin scent. I can't smell it much....but other's can. Its a great scent to apply right out of the shower.

Powdery roses tucked into a dry & spice-laden satchel. Very intense but not overwhelmingly so, comfortably sweet, has a distinct nicheness to it that I like very much. Lasts for around 12 hrs (the sample I tested yesterday evening is still lingering) , and if sprayed enough, would leave a scent trail. Perfect for autumn evenings and all of winter.

This scent is DRY! If you like powdery scents and zero sweetness then this is for you. I can definitely smell the leather, musk, and rose. But overall....the smell i get is a rose potpourri or cosmetic powder. Its not an old lady scent...but i would be lying if i said it didn't remind me of my grandma's attic or opening her hall closet.

Loads of powder. Metallic, not very sweet. Leather gradually comes up to the surface on a test strip. Almost soapy in character with the rose. Elegant but not as approachable as the OG Emozione. (Emozione is a lively hug; Rosa Orientale keeps you at a distance in her character.)*** On skin, I get rose and leather right away. The powder blends the two notes, and everything is soft and round, but powerful. The leather is strong here, but refined. Rose and leather are both supple. Still a little metallic, but more smokey on my skin. The drydown brings in a soft vanilla and oud that smells almost gourmand, but the saffron and powder hold this back. Final drydown is gentle oud. Really beautiful. but I have to be willing to wear such a moody powder. Gorgeous on clothing. Preferred for cooler weather. ***just like Lulu says below: This is a true flanker of Emozione. They share the same DNA. I have both and will be keeping both because they're so lovely and different.

A true flanker - this is the OG Emozione with added rose-oud. I own both and like both for different moods and occasions - this is more edgy (a touch of maskulinity ) and modern 'acquired taste' and unisex, whereas the OG is more 'boring' nice girl daily girly clean scent, almost romantic nice and feminine. The bottle isn't as shiny as the picture here suggest - the gold surface is matt. The performance is average or slightly below. U can overspray and it won't bother anybody.

this starts with saffron, rose, musk and oud and it's very powdery. then i get some leather and a hint of vanilla. the rose is not sweet and there is something that almost verges on smelling like geranium. the oud gets fairly smoky on me. it's like a leathery rose with powder, which combines some of my favorite perfume elements. i really like this one, i think it's a bit of a hidden gem.
