Ferragamo Intense Leather

Ferragamo Intense Leather is a fruity, spicy and leathery fragrance. Its opening is fruity and spicy, with pink pepper, but since then it is also noticeable the presence of a leather accord. In this phase, the aroma resembles some typical Mexican spicy tamarind candies, I suposse is because the pink pepper, but with the smokiness of the leather note. After 3 or 4 hours. the fruity note decreases its presence, but the fragrance remains spicy and leathery. Intense Leather is a fragrance with a tendency to be used in mild or cold weather, it seems to me ideal to be used during autumn or cool days, due to its spicy nature. It can also be used for casual outings, office work settings or couples outings as it has a slightly sexy feel. The smell is modern and I liked it, it has a similarity in style to fragrances such as Moustache Eau de Parfum by Rochas and too to Toy Boy by Moschino, although Ferragamo Intense Leather has received less attention. Its duration on the skin with me was more than 9 hours. with an average sillage. This fragrance is my favorite of the Ferragamo line, I think I will buy one at least a small bottle.

I got the sample pack from a tj maxx that was the dabbers :/ . I still really love this fragrance though. I will be purchasing a bottle eventually. On to the fragrance. If I had to think of a question this was trying to answer it would be: How much leather can we put into a fragrance while keeping it mass appealing and not draw comparisons to Tuscan Leather. I believe they succeeded. This has a sight zing at the top that really draws you in. I also get a lovely apple note that adds to the freshness and intrigue. Then I get the LEATHER which rounds out the fragrance and brings almost a bounciness ( if that makes sense). I love the leather in this. It has a nice animalic whisper that just makes this much more interesting than other 'blue' fragrances. It also has a nice sweetness which makes it mass appealing. I believe this can be wore any time of the year but I prefer bright leather for summer personally. When I asked others about it they would often ask for multiple sniffs because they knew they liked it but they hadn't smelled anything like it. Probably one of the best comments a piece of art can get.

This is the epitome of a "versatile" leather scent and I really like it. It's unmistakably leather-centric, but in a light fresh way that isn't dark, heavy, or overpowering. There's a bit of fruitiness thanks to the mandarin and apple up front, not gourmand by any means but enough to give this a playful fresh feel. The pink pepper gives it a lingering hint of soft spice which complements some very gentle floral undertones nicely. There's a certain greenness to the overall accord, and all the while that leather note undergirds everything with its distinct but not overbearing presence. This is an every-season every-occasion scent that's suitable whenever and wherever. Performance is fine, with only moderate projection but admirable longevity. If you're into comparisons, this one reminds me a bit of Rochas Moustache if that one had a leather base. Got it for a very reasonable price of $30 for 50ml and I'm digging it.

Pretty surprised with this one. I don’t find it to really be similar to anything I’ve smelled. It’s a spicy, fresh, robust scent. I mainly get orange and woods - maybe with a hint of a modern type of leather. I also find that the clary sage gives this scent a bit of an oomph. I would’ve figured this one would be hyped pretty hard - as it smells unique and is pleasing and unquestionably masculine - but I’ve not heard much about it. Fine by me. I was curious for quite some time before making this purchase, as I tend to shy away from “earthy” scents. I don’t find this to be earthy, really. Like I said, more of a orangey/woody/leather type scent. Overall, very pleased with this. I find it to be very wearable and love that it smells different from anything else. Very nice bottle as well. 7/10

I don't understand how many people say there is no leather scent in this perfume! For me, it smells like a watered down ombre leather mixed with earthy notes and lots of pink pepper Don't take the "watered down ombre leather" opinion as bad If you enjoy the leather scent but find it too formal, classy or mature as I do, you can pick up Ferragamo Intense Leather for a daily, informal scent; maybe with a pair of black jeans, skate sneakers/doc martens and a band t-shirt my wife loves it edit: you can really catch up the juicy mandarin on the opening, which I love, I just catch this today, after a couple months of wearing it for some reason hahaha Great deal if you find it around the 50USD range, I got it for 55USD in a gift set with a 100ml bottle, shower gel and a 10ml decant

Blind bought this and I don't regret it. Leather and violet combo with citruses adding a layer, with an apple touch. Yes this reminds me a little of bleecker street, there are similarities but this is more masculine due to the leather note. It's basically in the vein of "blue" type fragrance but with a twist. My only personal issue is that it's a bit sweet for my taste, but not to the point that I dislike the fragrance, in fact I'm really a fan of it, but I will likely touch it up with some ISO-E super to tone down the sweetness a notch. Other than that I really think this is a great fragrance, with good longevity (lasted 8 hours on my skin overall, but the last 4 hours were a close scent bubble), and for a reasonable price I think this is a steal.

At last a completely credible alternative to Ombre Leather! Opens with a beautiful blend of 'new car' leather and mandarin orange, with a gentle spice in the background from the pink pepper. The feeling is opulent, modern and warm. In the mid the red apple and iris blend with the non-animalic leather to create an luxurious accord similar to OLs Jasmine influence. Interestingly Orris/iris is added to OL Parfum and works well, as it does here, and creates a stylish floral accord. The earthy notes blend with the leather well and create a non-animalic fragrance which is much more wearable than OL. In the dry down the musk and moss mix to create a sweet tobacco accord and blend with the fragrant leather. Fantastic value and a real winner for Ferragamo.

Another hidden gem of the department store brands. I didn't think I would say it was particularly a leather scent on first pass, but when I wore it again without wearing a leather jacket it was disorienting. I think this is the only pink pepper fragrance I've found where it's really predominant, which is not for everyone but I quite like it. Clary sage and apple are inspired choices, it's a wild journey. A lot of sharp, peaky top notes and a very strong base but not a lot to round out the middle. Because of this it comes across surprisingly cold and heartless despite how spicy and floral it is, but if I'm being honest that's part of its appeal.

This is a perfume for men, yes, but I'd say it's androgynous. It opens up veeeery cute, sweet, and fresh. Exactly the leather perfume I've been looking for. The dry down is earthy and the leather note got stronger. Alas it doesn't last very long on my skin, but i guess it would still linger if sprayed a little bit on the clothes. Edit: I washed my hands multiple times (with soap!!), cook, and even do the dishes but I still can smell this perfume on me. Apparently it does last a long time, just doesn't project that much after a while.

This is a great release, I like pink pepper, Iris and leather......it has them all! This starts out with a strong but wonderful citrus opening, then moves to a little floral but the pink pepper hangs around. The leather in this is more like a car interior or a new leather baseball mitt, subtle and not animalic. For me this is one of the better SF’s and extremely versatile. Decent silage, and longevity. One doesn’t overwhelm the wearer or the people around you. Any season or event. For me this is a 9 out of 10!

this is sooo good. Smells like a mix of many perfumes like aventus, tuxedo, moustache, aqua di parma etc. Really good but less publicity. Last long and projects well. Im surprised by its quality. I hope this will get less review by youtubers bcoz after the review, the price will normally go up instantly by online retailers. So rave reviews sometimes give bad impact to customers. However this perfume is impressive and classy. A must have for gentlemen. (it doesnt smell like Ombre Leather!!!)

I don't care what others say but for me this is a very good fragrance. It's fresh leather with dirt in good way and little bit of juicy citrus & sweetness guess from apple and orange. It's masculine in fresh way. I can say it's rugged and gentleman at sametime. Its not for everyone, it's for real MAN not for kids who love sweet, gourmand and bubblegum and attention seekers AND not even UNISEX crap. I get a least solid 8 hours plus on my skin and projection is moderate

This is a fragrance that can use leather in the name and actually do a decent job at living up to it. The apple in this truly stands out and has an addictive quality to it. The leather is sharp and crisp but still has a touch of earthiness. Almost like restoring a pair of dress shoes. Longevity is only decent for me though with the first hour and a half being the true shining moment of the fragrance. I can’t wait to try it out in colder months.

One of the best leather fragrances I've come across for some time, I absolutely cannot get enough of this. Several notes are listed, but only one matters, that Ferragamo leather, it's like brand new car seats, absolutely terrific, earthy, clean and very masculine. A small amount of sweetness coming through from the pink pepper, but it's a very moderate amount. Great bottle too, another qualify Ferragamo fragrance.

Smells like leather shoes and some balsamic fresh aromatic stuff. Manly, unique, if bleu de chanel is blue, this would be grey. Up close from my skin it smells kinda weird but it needs some oxidation, shelf time, things like that. It has character!! That’s what I appreciate on this one. Try before you buy, the leather note is strong but it’s not that eastern leather smell. It’s clean, refreshing and manly. LIKE!

My first Leather Fragrance. Bought 2,5 ml vial and Im considering buying full bottle. Fresh fruity opening with a hint of leather. Give it 5 minutes and the Leather will come out above the fruity note. I wore it today, already past 5 hours and the Leather scent still going strong. Love this but before buying I will compare it with other Leather fragrance. Next on my list is Rasasi La Yuqawam

Name doesn’t really match the scent but this is pretty good I think. Seems to work well as a cool weather or even year round casual or office frag, as well as a date night or going out one. I don’t really get any obvious similarities to the perfumes in the “reminds me of” section, but perhaps it has a bit of everything, idk. To me it has a slight LNDL Bleu Électrique vibe in the dry down.

This one smell very classic mossy, balsamic warm, leathery fragrance with a bit citrus and sweetness at the opening. The drydown has bright leathery musky surrounded by oakmoss. It almost remind me some hugo boss edt 20 years ago, when my dad owned it. This suits older man like 45 above. Its greenish mossy leathery musky makesnit suit for office use with 5 spray max.

Happily surprised about this one. Had an eye on it from day 1 but never got to it until now and glad I did. Really nice leather fragrance, love the apple note with the leather and spices, it just really hits nice for a good casual scent. But this could actually be used in more formal or professional settings as well, very nice all around.

Great scent, this is my choice over the Bright Leather, since I did not enjoy the basil note on that one. The leather note here hits just right to my nose without too many distractions. I can wear this in a professional and casual setting, but I would likely reach for something else on date night. An easy spray every day.

I don’t know if it’s because my bottle is from back in 2018/2019 but this stuff has criminally underrated performance. Projects well for at least 8-10 hours and wil be on clothes for at least 24. One of the first fragrances I ever owned that got me into collecting. Atomizer is out of this world as well.

this is unique. great for signature scent. smell good, unique and not boring as many blue fragrance. the opening a little bit syntetic but after 3 minutes i love the smell. dry down is magical for me, make me more love to this fragrance, smell sweet, soft, musky

Very aromatic, light floral and bitter citrusy scent with balanced leather tone. Hints of red pepper. I also find that there is a significant hint of fresh cucumber in the perfume. The sweetness is not overwhelming, rather a refined detail.

This is a great fragrance, and lasts a full work day with a nice scent bubble. It does smells like a mature darker version of Bleecker street which the leather is done right that can be worn in some summer heat. 10/10. QualityA1

I quite like this although not really much of a leather smell. Similar to Ferragamo from SF with a little bit more dark after 30 minutes or so. Nothing like Ombré Leather or other stronger leather scents but still very nice.

Man this one is good. I’m warming up to leather frags still in a way and every time I smell this one it’s better than the last. Light leather is also good but this adds that marine blue note that really sets it off.

So pleasant to the nose. Mass-appealing and good performance as well. The leathery and the earthiness is subtle but carry-on so nicely throughout. Good for everyday dumb reach scent. 9/10 for sure!

This is a more sweeter version of Purple Suede. I like Purple Suede more. If only the sweet apple note was a bit toned down, that would highlight the leather note a bit more prominently.

I love the scent😍. Earthy, citrusy, spicy and little bit leather accord. Perfect. This is four season fragrance. Highly recommend it. Longevity and projection are very good imo . 10/10

This is a great take on a mellow, sweet leather. For those who want a starter-level leather fragrance, this is an amazing choice -- as it is not polarizing and extremely easy to wear.

As I now own this and Bright leather I think that they should have called this bright leather and bright leather just bright. This is a bright leather scent, refreshing and manly.

unique...modern...fruity....sweet...pleasant..delicious...earthy..leathery.......It smell expensive but not extraordinary. Yes, surely I enjoyed this fragrance.

Tuscan leather that’s blue instead of red smelling

Salvatore Ferragamo Intense Leather is a dry, spicy, leathery fragrance with a touch of woody accords. Right from the start, I can definitely pick up the sharpness of the pepper and the ever so slight sweetness of the red apple, with a hint of floral notes—which I assume is from the lily of the valley. Right from the first sniff and all through the end, the leather and earthy notes are strong and consistent, which gives this fragrance its main character. As someone with an amateur nose, I don’t pick up on many of the other listed notes. The dry and woody nature of this fragrance places it in the same category as Maison Alhambra Woody Oud (a clone of Tom Ford's Oud Wood) and Thameen's Carved Oud. They’re not identical, but I would consider them part of the same extended family of fragrances. Performance and Longevity: On my skin, the longevity is about 6-7 hours, with the fragrance projecting well for the first hour. After 4 hours, it settles into a skin scent. My experience is based on a spray routine of about 8-10 sprays. Occasion and Weather: I think this is an all weather fragrance but is best enjoyed in rainy / overcast weather especially because of its dry nature. The dry facet just complements the rainy weather beautifully. In terms of occasion, this is more suited for office when you're dressed in a nice shirt and trousers / chinos and I don't reach for it in a casual setting. It gives an impression of a man who is classy, sorted and well put together.

So, I was given a sample of this when purchasing a pair of sneakers from the store the other day and it was really good timing considering the smell of this and it being Spring at the time of this writing. It's a blue fragrance despite the "leather" in the name. You do get the leather within the smell but it's subtle and very well blended. When it dries down, it holds the blue factor but you get the earthy notes that come forward with it. This is one of those, good all around fragrances that is an easy blind buy and good enough that you won't regret it either. Longevity is for a good number of hours ( at least 8 and still smell it after honestly ) Occasion is generally any. Season, generally all around but, it gives me that Le Male, Blue De Chanel, Aquatic a bit feel ( doesn't smell like any of them by the way, just in that realm ) so I lean on this wear for the Spring and maybe the summer ( but cool summer, it might get cloying in heat ) Compliments you will get ( I have, even loves ) because it's inoffensive and a general crowd pleaser, which is always good. So in the end, after finishing this sample today, I decided to order a full bottle ( get it from Amazon, it's half price of what Ferragamo themselves are selling it for ) A good choice to add to the collection.

As with most Ferragamo its going to depend on your skin and how long the bottle has macerated for, I found that the performance of intense leather I've had for 2 years has plummeted. When it was fresh it performed fine, its nothing special, it'll last most of the day and gradually become more intimate after 5-6 hours.That being said I find the scent is nice and as I've been told its a nice one that rewards discovery shall we say. I like the bottle design and the vaporiser works ok, the line of scents look the part on your shelf if you're into a more grown up less extravagant style thats easy to pick out visually and in terms of who wears it, I like being more exclusive not because of money but because of having my own direction and I've found in general that Ferragamo has provided that, they aren't hip, they aren't winning awards and they'll never be tiktok popular but you know you're getting a male based leather style smell depending on your needs throughout this line and thats uits me well for when I want something particular without spending £000's

3rd initial wearing review I am really enjoying this one and I'm so happy to have this one as Ralph Lauren Purple Label was my signature scent for years but after receiving my 2nd bottle they reformulated it and it just was being after that. This is a valid,cheaper replacement This opens up fresh,musky and mildly fruity and sweet with that apple. The apple is a synthetic apple but it's very pleasant and balances out the earthy and musky tones. Once this dries down that apple disappears and you get a very clean but musky,green,earthy and rich scent profile. It's mature and classy but not in an old man scent type of way. But rather a classy and sophisticated way. From the mid to the drydown it stays the same but as it develops it gets more smooth and rich smelling. I adore this scent profile and will be wearing this a lot on nights out. Performance on this is great ! It lasts me 8-12 hours and has above average projection for 2 hours (not beastly though ) Overall rating -8 out of 10! I love both this and Bright Leather. Solid scents for sure

Citrus & Apple up top. The Sage adds a little green sweet note. The Iris gives it a little creaminess, not the heavy lipstick vibe. Light florals from the Lily Of The Valley and Pink Pepper. For something called Intense Leather, it's a light & cleaner leather accord until the dry down when it amps up a bit with the Musk. Very like-able and pleasant, but definitely not groundbreaking. Not sure what earthy note they're talking about, not really getting much of that. Don't think the longevity will be that great unless you completely overspray. Can definitely tell that this is a flanker of the original in the dry down. The opening sees little resemblance. I got this at 45% off retail and thats still pushing the price, and would never pay the $100 retail. Once this hits discounters, it may be worth a pickup. Not really getting the Ombre Leather comparison, maybe like 30% likeness, this one is way more leather subtle. I'm getting CH Prive mixed with CH Men vibes a little. Smells pretty versatile to my nose.

In comparison to Purple Label. The apple in the opening of INtense Leather is similar to the blackberry in PL as it's tart semi-sweet and brings warmth to the opening as well as brings balance to the musky and earthy notes .. However the biggest difference is in the drydown as somehow the blackberry stuck around in the drydown and balanced beautifully with the Mahogany making it such a beautiful,smooth and sexy drydown. In intense leather you only get the leather in the deep drydown giving it richness similar to purple Label but it's more mossy,leathery and smooth. Still a damn good job and although not identical it definitely gives the basic feel and appeal of that scent profile. I love it and it's not up to par to the OG Purple Label but it's for sure better than the current formulation.

This is a bold and not so distinctive fragrance that fails to capture the essence of leather in the larger context. The longevity of this scent is not so impressive, lingering on the skin for 2-4hours(On my skin in Indian climate). However, its intensity might not be for everyone. For those seeking similar fragrances, and if you are consider spending 3X then look out for Tom Ford Tuscan Leather with its smooth and refined leather notes or Memo Paris Russian Leather, known for its smoky and earthy character. Overall, Ferragamo Intense Leather offers a unique olfactory experience for leather lovers.

You know that you have little to no experience with leather fragrances when half the people reviewing, are comparing it to ombre leather. 🤦🏽🤣. GOD, wtf?! Lol. Yes it is pretty synthetic on the opening, but it gets alot nicer in the drydown. Not the best leather interpretation out there, but gets the job done in a formal or casual setting. It lasts 8-10 hours max in my experience. Leather in here smells reminiscent of a new car or something like that.

Nose Note #223 The name is a joke. "Intense Leather" is more like Tom Ford Ombre Leather or Qaa'ed Al Shabaab Lattafa. This is like something from Antonio Banderas, this house had something similar like King of Seduction Absolute, but I can't remember. It's nice. An all-year-round scent It does remind of Moustache a little bit. To me it even has this fresh and aquatic feeling. Not like Versace Man Eau Fraiche or Acqua di Gio, but definately fresh

It is a great fragrance, Elegant, Classy, Unique and Complex. If you like a new perfume with the Leather note, you will like this one. It opens up with like fruity , slightly spicy and floral notes in the background then dry down is a bit smoky, musky, leathery. This is perfect for the spring, fall and winter. I really enjoy it and I like Ferragamo Intense Leather EDP for Men. Longevity is good. Thumbs Up. Rating : 8 / 10

An easy to wear leather fragrance but doesn’t lean to a fresh, blue style leather. The pink pepper, leather, lily and earthy notes (including the oak moss) are the most prominent notes and keeps this masculine without being funky at all. I am a fan of this Ferragamo line, scents are good quality and so is the presentations. Well worth the money especially if you don’t have a leather based fragrance in your line up.

It opens with a semi-sweet fruitiness with peppery leather that smells like herbaceous tea leaves. However, once it settles down, the pink peppercorn leather is the prominent player that stays linear til the end. The spiciness from the peppercorn is similar to that used in Rocha Moustache EDP, and it is blended well with the leather resulting in a pleasant wearable leathery experience.
