Incanto pour Homme Blue

It's...fine. No, really! I should preface this review by saying that I have picked up a lot of surprisingly good, inexpensive fragrances from Ferragamo. Among their blue fragrances, I think a good case could be made for Acqua Essenziale Blu being a worthy competitor to Bleu de Chanel and Dylan Blue. That said, Incanto Pour Homme Blue is good and inexpensive, but there are no surprises. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Ferragamo clearly wanted to bottle the essence of being “fresh, clean, and vaguely handsome in a polo shirt.” It's not exceptionally good, it's not exceptionally bad. There is really nothing exceptional about it at all. However, it's pretty clear that it is not trying to be exceptional, so there is a kind of light, relaxed quality to it. Not every fragrance has to take on the world. Sometimes it's just nice to smell nice. The opening is layered with bergamot, green herbs, and a polite dose of some of the most gentle aldehydes imaginable. A very light touch of cumin gives it a faint wisp of bitterness, to keep it from becoming too watery. There is a flutter of spices and florals in the middle. Cinnamon and jasmine got invited to the party, but politely stayed in the corner so as not to bother anyone. Any rose is quite muted, but there is a bit of soft citrus that might come from it. The drydown is a mix of woods, light amber, fluffy white musk, and leather. “Leather” here should be understood as “the faint smell of a wallet”, not the leather jacket of a World War II fighter pilot. I don't get much patchouli, if any, and the tonka is just sweet enough to balance the slightly chalky cedar. It’s pleasant, it’s wearable, and it behaves itself in any setting, from an office cubicle to a barbecue. Performance is (you guessed it) unremarkable. Think four, maybe five hours of smelling like you’ve made an effort, followed by a skin scent you can really only smell if you press your nose into your shirt and hope no one sees you doing it. Projection is modest and inoffensive, like everything else about this fragrance. The biggest strength here is that nobody will ever complain. The biggest weakness is that nobody will ever remember, either. Incanto Blue occupies that vast middle ground of men’s fragrances where everything is fine, acceptable, clean, tidy, and rather plain. There are some strong similarities with Nautica Voyage, but it doesn't have quite the milky cucumber accord and instead leans a bit more towards crisp celery or melon. It also reminds me of Boucheron Singulier, but without Singulier's prominent lavender note. Interestingly, and perhaps appropriately, Fragrantica has no perfumer listed. It’s the fragrance equivalent of beige paint. Inoffensive, reliable, and happy to blend into the background.

A cheapie my ex bought for me (from Shoppers) because she *loves* fresh fragrances... I prefer this to Nautica Voyage because Incanto Blue has slightly more depth and a bit better longevity imo. She finds Voyage to smell like fresh linen on a Sunday morning, reminiscent of a candle from B&BW. While, Incanto is slightly musky, airy, fresh, more masculine albeit more generic but done perfectly. 👌🏾 Blind buy worthy, if you can find it around $20 7/10 EDT Batch Code: 2014608

It's a nice scent, Fresh, Crisp and Soft. You can't go wrong with it. It opens up with like fresh citrusy , green and floral notes in the background then dry down is musky woody. This is suitable for the spring and summer. I really enjoy it and I like Incanto Pour Homme Blue EDT for Men by Salvatore Ferragamo. In my opinion, It costs more than this price and It has Well-blended Composition. Longevity is Good, Highly Recommended. Thumbs Up. Rating : 8 / 10

In my head, I could not possibly see someone not liking this. With that being said, I also have a hard time imagining someone being impressed by this either. As most others have mentioned, it is safe, inoffensive, and well-blended considering the price point. I keep my bottle in my car to use as an air freshener and it works very well in that capacity. If you see it in the discount area in your local store, why not go for it?

It is a very airy blue fragrance, it's really mass apealling to be honest, it won't annoy anyone even if you over-spray a ton. A solid cheapie fresh fragrance, suitable for anyone and at any age.

smells straight up spicy and fresh it is good if your looking for something cheap but a really unsafe blind buy 5/10

Smells like rotten celery to me, blind bought several cheapies and this was the only miss in the bunch, jarringly repulsive, must be a note in it my nose really doesn't like or a bad bottle

Purchased this for £13 for a 100ml bottle. This is the epitome of inoffensive. It's well blended and smooth and doesn't smell overly synthetic. There's nothing particularly special about this fragrance, if I run out, I wouldn't be rushing to get a replacement, but sometimes you need something like this. Completely blind buy safe especially at this price, sillage and longevity aren't huge but these 00's blue style scents often aren't!

Nice blue refreshing scent. Does not smell cheap like a lot of reviewers say it is just the perception. Looks like Salvatore Ferragamo does not care much about making money from Fragrances as they make a killing from their other merchandise. This could be easily a 100$ bottle then the reviews will change. Built in human bias which is natural.

"Incanto" translates to enchantment . It is more synthetic than enchanting. Nothing new here at all it is as generic as 20 other random " blue" fragrances out there.
