Incanto Shine

I purchased this fragrance today and I love it! I love the scent profile of VS Bombshell and will collect anything that smells like it, and Incanto Shine smells almost identical! I almost didn't get this fragrance because of the complaints about a chemical smell mentioned on here but when I noticed the same complaints were mentioned on the VS BS page, I realized it more of a preference thing or maybe different noses pick up different things or body chemistry. Neither fragrance smells like chemicals or cleaning products to me. The main notes that I pick up in Incanto Shine is passion fruit up front with hints of peach and pineapple with a well blend of white musk, aquatic florals, and blonde woods in the background, with hints of citrus to add to the brightness. Very fruity fresh, my fav, and at a great price point. I got the 1 oz/30 ml since it is technically a blind buy but i would totally get the largest size. Cons: the longevity is pretty weak but wouldn't mind reapplying. The sillage is weak as well and sits very close to the skin. Last, the top is plastic and doesn't shut close easily. Overall, I am very happy with this fragrance but this is my initial impression of the fragrance and I look forward to continue to wear and test it this spring and summer. Update (6.27.23): I now get that chemical component that people get. I smell the harshness for the first few seconds after the initial spray but it soon goes away. Also, longevity is longer than I initially thought. Up to 6 hours when over-sprayed instead of under 3 hours. But projection is still weak and close to skin.

Here is the proper review I had promised in a recent post. Upon spraying this, it is extremely bright, so many intense fruit scents all leaping up for attention. This reminds me a little of my favourite shampoo (colour me happy by herbal essences), not that it’s cheap or anything, it’s just a good, likeable smell. It is so delicious and fresh, like a fruity shower gel. Sudsy clean, and tangy sweet. After it settles in a few minutes, the listed notes of pineapple and peach coalesce to give the impression of a pear scent, or even something close to a green apple scent. With the help of the background floral notes, this scent keeps its soapy freshness and spunk. Overall impression: this is intoxicatingly fresh and happy. It is positively beaming with the selection of fruits that this fragrance features, the bottle is one of the most unique and brilliant designs ever and in my opinion it does not misrepresent the scent; I find that the two are perfectly matched. I think that Shine really describes this too. It is Shiny. It is effervescent. It does cost a bit more than other scents out there, and yes you may have to re-apply this, so my advice is to spray it on your hair or on a scarf if you are concerned about the value, because it does not change a whole lot from the middle to the end, aside from softening. Spraying on something other than skin can also be great because it will prolong the top notes a bit, and that is my favourite part. Just watch out for staining. I don’t know what colour the liquid is in actuality, it’s hard to tell. Go forth and SHINE parfumistas!

Here's a story that no one asked for: 12 years ago I was visiting relatives in Japan where I had purchased a fragrance that I didn't know the name of but I reaaally liked how it smelled. It held a lot of memories and I've kept the bottle because it was in the shape of a beautiful flower that said "Romantic Drops". I found the bottle hiding away and sprayed some on my arm few weeks ago, it smelled so RANK I hate that I wasted the rest of the juice. I think it's discontinued and since I got it in Japan there's no way I'll be able to purchase it again.. But I've managed to find the notes online, pineapple was one of the top notes! So I blind bought a 30mL for $22 with low expectations thinking it's probably going to smell like garbage but I've always wanted a pineapple fragrance. I'm pleasantly surprised by this refreshing perfume! I can definitely smell passionfruit and the pineapple which resembles the "romantic drops" fragrance, bringing back 13 year old me sniffing this in Japan feeling exhilarated being in another country and enjoying my youth. This is a very youthful fragrance but not so much that people would give funny looks. It has a shampoo-synthetic vibe underneath with a little bit of floral so it doesn't smell like a sugary celebrity fragrance. It's rather fresh and fun like the bottle, the longevity is quite poor (maybe 2 hours) but I don't mind respraying for the price. I'm just really happy it smells so much like the one thing that connected me to Japan.

I had Incanto Shine when I was 15. I lived in Vietnam at the time, and to me it felt like the most mysterious, magical scent. Pineapple and passion fruit were the basis of my diet, and I think the heat and humidity really amplified this perfume. Since then, whenever I got a whiff of this scent somewhere, It was the most wonderful experience. It is deeply nostalgic to me, it brings me back to the time when I was on my way to becoming a woman, trying to figure out who I was, living in a beautiful tropical country. Today I spontaneously bought a bottle of Incanto Shine. I'm twice as old as when I first had it, and I'm in the middle of a mental breakdown, which is why I try to surround myself with things that bring back happy memories. Now it smells different. I think it has to do with the fact that I now live in Ukraine and the temperature is below freezing, the weather is dry and snowy. It may feel less bright, but essentially it is the same mysterious pineapple and passion fruit scent from my adolescence. And I absolutely love it. I don't feel any synthetic notes mentioned by other commenters. On my skin it develops smoothly, always smells joyful and fresh. I think it's a very pleasant good quality scent. I rarely come across people wearing it, but I would be thrilled to smell it on someone.

I concur that is very much like VS Bombshell, due to the pineapple. They both have that fruity sweetness which I love. However as to which of the two perfumes is the ORIGINAL if one is to call the two "sister-scents," I would look at the dates. Incanto Shine came out in 2007 while VS released Bombshell in 2010. This fragrance is fruity and sweet as I've said, but with an element of freshness. It has a "tropical wind" essence, one that invokes joy and exudes confidence. Shine is definitely a summery scent and while it would be best during the day, it can also play well at night for an upbeat vibe. I can imagine walking down Ocean Drive in Miami with this scent; with the close-knit traffic it is the ideal setting for a tropical perfume with lighter sillage. Rightly so, Shine is an EDT, as to make it any richer would become cloying. I also have issues with the bottle not spraying and instead leaking the juice out. I wonder if this problem will be eradicated in the future? Another downfall is that the longevity is poor. Due to the oversized topper and problems with clogging/leaking, it isn't exactly a purse-friendly bottle but otherwise the price is great such that frequent spritzes will keep you smelling juicy and make up for the poor longevity. All in all, though, I love this.

I found this Yummy-Sweet-Fruity gem 💎 in 2011 for my beloved ❤️ darling. I'm glad 😊 she's loving 😍 it too & has since been in her collections. Btw if anyone have doubt 🤷 abt it's LONGEVITY, pls don't. As I've noticed from the time she wore it from morning to evening I can still smell it. She doesn't carry a refill but maybe because she has a habit to spray some onto her clothes. Let me clear for you the similarities of Bombshell which was created 4 years later after Incanto Shine. My wife did bought the latter on Sept 2018. She has no clue of the smell & blind bought it because of the Hype. It cost her 3 times more!!!The smell is 90-95% similar BUT....... Incanto Shine is ▶️▶️▶️▶️ 1️⃣Less synthetic 💦 2️⃣Much nicer 🥰 3️⃣Last much longer 💪 4️⃣In the drydown sloooowly becomes less sweet & ZINGY but not sourish like Bombshell. 5️⃣Bonus factor, you can buy 3 bottles of IS for the price of BS. Hope these helps 🙏

This perfume smells so shower fresh, like fruity shampoo and cleanness. It is not very sweet, but rather it is bright and light and uplifting. During the whole day you can clearly smell the juicy zing of the fresh pineapple and passionfruit clearly, with a watery tiiiiny bit of light floral (the youthful kind, not old lady). On days when I haven't freshly washed my hair, I spray a bit in it and it smells so clean and light. This way I find that it last significantly longer than sprayed on the skin....I recommend that you spray this one on your hair and clothes so that it will linger for hours. Its a great every day fragrance. It will certainly not bother any one or be overbearing or annoying to the wearer or people around you. Overall just a very clean fruity scent that is refreshing and upbeat.

Incanto Shine has been my signature scent since 2008, and I have been through several 100mL bottles of this since. This is THAT perfume that makes me nostalgic for the many memories I associate this perfume to my life. Anyway, this has a lovely pineapple scent and leaves a good amount of sillage. This is best used in the summer when the notes really do come out. However, I don't why but I feel like this perfume has been reformulated. I still use this perfume occasionally, but it doesn't last as long and doesn't leave a trail as it used to. Maybe my taste has changed (after decades of using it), but I find it weak now. I still feel amazing and cheerful when I wear it, but those feelings are now short-lived.

I love this one, on me it is definitely a dead ringer for Bombshell by Victoria's Secret. It is mildly fruity with the pineapple, and passion fruit shining through. Musk is a big component of this fragrance and it keeps the whole thing from being cloying, which for me, is an issue with a lot of passion fruit based perfumes. It is woody and I suppose some might then call it masculine but it isn't really, the fruit somehow keeps it feminine. I have had wonderful luck with lasting power, you can't expect a perfume to have sillage or last long if you only give a couple of spritzes (aside from say Angel by TM or Coco by Chanel), give her a good 5 or 6 on your chest, wrists and hair and you'll be on cloud nine!

Very crispy bright scent. So thankful the musk isn't pulling heavy. Notes listed above are pretty accurate. It's very tangy/fruity/sweet at first spritz. I can't discern any pineapple to be honest but it doesn't matter. Then when it settles it gets a bit more floral (honestly I thought it was kind of a tangy rose but it must be the peony) but the fruit/tang doesn't disappear. From there I get a bit bummed out, bc what remains reminds me of lemon citrus kitchen or floor cleaner. I wish the floral remained bc that balances it out. It's not unpleasant cleaner, but I think it would raise a few eyebrows. Will give it a 5/10, wouldn't invest in full bottle but will prob use up my 5mL I have

This fragrance starts with a lively burst of fruit in which you can pick out all of the topnotes at once (pineapple,passion fruit,bergamot) and they are so light and bright! After a few moments, fresh peach shines through, as do a light floral blend. The drydown consists of a blend of the previous notes with a bit of cedar and amber. This is a very nice bright scent for the warmer seasons, and in my opinion could be appropriate for day or night. It is an EDT so not quite as long lasting as a perfume. Still nice though.

My very cool and hip aunty introduced me to this scent. The first time I smelled this--I fell in love and actually took her half used bottle. Very citrus-y,cheerful and fun. (I'd say more happy than clinique happy) I'd associate this perfume to those days when i'm feeling jovial and empowered as I drive in my car listening to the donnas on a lovely spring day. La-la-love it! Ps. I wouldn't say this scent is mature or appropriate for formal occasions and evening events . This is very daytime, spring sunny day scent.

I agree with mimsko about the pear scent. When I bought this I was in Vieux Quebec and the woman who was helping me try a bunch pointed this out because she said it smelled like pear, which is why I tried it on. She was right. And I fell in love, and purchased immediately. IT must be that all the notes combined make up a pear smell. Still a go-to when I want something bright and fun. It's such a cute fragrance. It is on my to-do list to write up a proper review.

This is a very clean smelling fragrance to me- reminds of a shampoo at a salon and the way your hair feels right after you walk out of an appointment. Very light and tart, you definitely get a sour fruit (but not in a gone off way) feel with that soapyness that is quite nice. I think this is a pretty safe summer scent so far as it also doesn't feel like it is going to project too far and won't choke out your cohorts on the beach or at work.

This is a kind of great refresher. Very long-lasting on clothes (2 days+). For me, it's almost identical to Moschino So Real, Chic & Cheap collection. But the latter lasts less long. If you are a person who loves citrusy scents, or you've purchased Moschino So Real, Burberry Brit Sheer, or even Davidoff cool Water (The blue bottle) and loved them, then this perfume is for you and it's the best one among them and lasts significantly longer.

This is my signature scent!! My skin loves pineapple, coconut.. It does not react well with hard Arabic perfumes with a lot of jasmine, honey and etc. I received so many great compliments on this perfume and its so cheap and not cloying at all. I don't know what it is but there is big chemistry between my skin and this perfume. Not too sweet or green. There is bilance between sweetness and tropical scent

This is absolutely a dupe for VS Bombshell. Bombshell has been my go-to for years. I just tried Incanto Shine because I got it on sale at Marshalls. I sprayed one on each arm and if I didn’t know which arm was which, I would not be able to tell the difference. Amazing for $15! The only thing I don’t like is the bottle isn’t as pretty as the Bombshell bottle which makes Bombshell feel prettier to use.

I haven't planned to buy this but I received a free sample and I decided right on the moment that I have to have this fresh beautiful scent. Smells like adorable shampoo and is so perfect for those hot summer days when you don't want to smell nothing heavy, vanilla or too sweet, you just want to smell something fresh and clean. It's really energetic and happy daily scent.

Purchased this last September. When I wore it I could smell what others have referred to as slightly masculine. Now that it's May I've been wearing this again and I really like it. I smell alot of tropical fruit, mostly passionfruit and a little peach. Instead of something slightly masculine, it smells shampoo-like fresh/clean:)

This is my ultimate perfume and my signature fragrance. I'm on my 11th bottle as I do spray it liberally. It's very close smelling to Victoria Secret bombshell. It opens with pineapple and apple in my opinion. But then it develops into a warm amber scent. I feel like it smells like you've just hopped out of the shower.

I have owned Incanto Shine for a few years,but I don't get bored with it and keep coming back to it every now and then. To me it's more of an aquatic fragrance, one of those " wet" perfumes that make you feel very refreshed. At the same time very elegant composition...I wouldn't call it a girly perfume.

This is my summer signature scent. Ok, I have two... :) Again, "love at first sight". Except the the first original Incanto, I have whole set and for me this one is the best. Fresh is the first thing I have in mind. Very pleasant summer scent. I received many, many compliments wearing it.

oooh my God! first I loved it, and bought it, but then I exchanged it for the heaven one, after buying the charms one.. but then I decided that I really wanted it.. so I bought it yesterday again! I love that masculine-femenine-fresh-sexy smell <3.. you have to buy it! :P

Love this. My favorite summer scent. Easy-going, breezy attitude, but sexy. A no brainer. By the way, I switched from Victoria's Secret Bombshell to Incanto Shine. They smell almost exactly the same to me, but Shine lasts longer. Bombshell is gone in an hour.

REALLY NICE ...very happy with my buy , affordable and a great everyday fragrance . Soft yummy fruity shampoo vibe going on which is nice , doesnt last long on skin but on clothes its ok ..not a masterpiece but very feminine and lovely.

I love this!!! This is one of my favorite perfumes ever. I owned a 50ml when I was in college. I remember wearing this to see the person I love. This is full of memory and young sweetness. I wonder if it's still available now.

This one is the sexy fresh thing... On my skin it lasts for ages...love it. It goes to my top 5. Highly recomended to girls who likes fresh, floral and fruty but sexy perfumes. Wanna buy incanto charms...lets see:)

Incanto Shine shines all day long :) it is the most optimistic, happy and shining fragrance I have ever tried. It is the perfume with unique tones and atmosphere. I love it and I am going to buy it again soon!

I love that smell, it is so nice and goes very well be, I can hear the song Love profusion by Madonna, is like a paradise of dreams, but worth it as a dream, he bit harsh on the skin! Oh God!

Smells like Bombshell. Love the bottle - very pretty. Very fresh, sharp, a little fruity and citrusy. All the scents go well together, and was my signature scent for quite a while.

I'd get it again, I miss this perfume it's really one a of a kind and the fruity smell really makes your day unique. I haven't found anything that's kinda similar to it yet.

Using it while I type this, and I just remembered why I loved this! Perfect combination of pineapple, apple and passionfruit. It sits so well on my skin too.

I wanna give my review on this fragrance.the first spritz of this perfume,I can easily detect the sharp n intense smell of pineapple.later on,it is not just pineapple,it’s somehow mixed up with a type of citrusy fruit that I didn’t know which citrus fruit it belongs to...until I found it’s actually the bergamot(after I’ve read infos of this incanto shine in fragrantica)..i’ve never thought it was bergamot.i was expecting it to be typical lemon or orange...there’s a bit of soury scents detected...and it must be coming from the passion fruit..however,the sourness has been equalized/enclosed with the sweet n soft scents of peony flower,freesia n peach fruit. on the drydown,I can still smell the pineapple but in a softer way...no more sharp n intense smell.probably because of the musk,which is usually and always be the “perfume softener”.. whereas amber creates the warmth in incanto shine..cedar somehow creates the earthy smells because as we all know,cedar is a type of large tree that belongs to the pine family..so I believe that cedar is one of the oldest tree that grows on earth and has its own specialties. my boyfriend likes this scent.and when he tries,incanto shine do smells good on him.that means,our skin chemistry reacts well with this perfume.incanto shine is a perfume with “happy heart” character.not that Clinique happy heart okay. whoever girls or even you wears this fragrance may have this kind of characters,for example : • Cheerful • Fun to be with • Playful • Maybe u are a talkative type • Friendly • Generous • Sometimes childish-like • Maybe sexy,maybe not...depends. • Strong and full of perseverance • Maybe a stubborn type,maybe not.. • Loyal • Good at keeping secrets. • A Romantic person but u don’t know how to express it • A good listener and last but not least,u are a legendary friend. Well,I don’t know..i just say all those things as listed above according to my intuition. and I did say that according to how this incanto shine bottle was designed by Ferragamo.It has pink,light blue,purple and orange colour. overall,I like this fragrance..it’s really fruity-floral.

This was a total blind buy today, I got it or $19.99 and it smells exactly like I thought it would. This has that classic summer smell, it is just like all of those limited edition Escada Summer flankers that keep coming out. When I think of beach scents, there are three categories in my world. The first is the traditional aquatics - anything blue like cool water to the aqua di gio. Second, there are the salty sand scents - the Bobbi Brown beach or the Jennifer Anniston types. And then there are those that fall into the third category - the Escada scents and now this Ferragamo scent. They are the fruity cocktails you drink while having an al fresco lunch somewhere on the cape. Incanto shine is soft, fruity, inoffensive and casual. I didn't get more than an hour projection from this, however after 3 hours I could still detect it if I put my nose to my wrist. This will get a lot of use from me, i like it. If you can find this like I did for $20, it's a great deal. This is not special enough to cost more than that because it is too simple of a scent.

(This review is for Eau de Toilette) INCANTO SHINE is a fresh, gentle and lovely perfume. This fragrance does not seem to me overly complex or dramatic but it is nevertheless a great scent when you would like something refreshing, floral and casual. The fragrance is very pleasant and uplifting like a watercolor painting with pink, blue and green colors. It is definitely a girly scent perfect for springtime. The scent starts with crisp and fresh freesia. And then the pineapple note comes in with its lovely tropical vibe. I love this refreshing almost citrusy pineapple-freesia opening. The scent transforms into slightly peppery freesia in the heart notes. It is very refreshing and airy. The dry down is light floral musk and cedar. The freesia is strong in this perfume and noticeable right from the start. I think this gives the perfume this slightly crisp and fresh scent. The sillage and longevity are average only. I always re-apply it throughout the day.

My experience with this scent was very unexpected. I sprayed myself and thought it was very nice! Went about my normal daily ritual of smelling my wrists obsessively all day. I thought to myself that the rainbow bottle was appropriate because it smelled a bit of after the rain to me. When the man person came home I asked him if he liked it and gave him a sniff. He said he thought it smelled of Men's cologne. I told him he was wrong! A bright pink and rainbow bottle it comes in, I said. But as the night wore on I continued to happily sniff myself and feel intoxicated by it and realized...he was right! The reason I could not stop smelling it was that in fact it does kind of smell like a sexy man!...but then also.... sweet and fruity at other times...and then a sexy man again! This fragrance confuses me greatly. But I can tell you this. I smell GOOD. ;-) Will wear this happily and smile while wearing it.

Incanto Shine Oh yes .. the scent is so similar to VS Bombshell but Incanto Shine is not as juicily sweet. Incanto is more mature and complex. It opens with fresh bursts of tart notes. Bergamot is prominent and bitter, balancing out the tartiness of the passion fruit and the pineapple. After several minutes, bergamot remains strong and the woodiness kicks in. Nice gentle musk started to appear in the background along with the barely there peony. I think my nose tricks me during the drydown. For some reason, I keep smelling something very gree tea like. Peony peaks through and makes the scent become a little more floral in the end. I cannot sense any amber here. On my skin Incanto lasts longer than VS Bombshell. I like them both. They are nice and refreshing summer scents. Something different to reach for when it's hot out and everyone seems to bathe in their citrusy perfumes!!

I bought this because someone mentioned it was a dupe/similar to VS Bombshell, which I love but which I kind of find on the pricier side, I don't really like to spend more than like $40 on a 3.4oz. I got Incanto Shine for like $25 for a 3.4 I think. Smelling them side by side I do see the similarity. I can't quite put my finger on the differences like note-wise, but in this one I definitely can smell the passionfruit, pineapple and lime with maybe the cedar? Just like with bombshell I feel like I like it, but I can't tell you exactly why. Definitely worth it for the price and does not smell "cheap" at all in my opinion. EDIT TO ADD: I wore this on a hot day and unfortunately it turned VERY sour on me...at the end of the day it smelled kind of gross.

This perfume was a blind buy and worth every dollar I spent--$27.99. Love it! Every time I wear it I get compliments galore. It's clean, fresh and uplifting. It's not a floral and does have what some say a masculine scent. The bottle itself is gorgeous. It resembles a sort-of rainbow-ish swirl surrounding it. It's great for the bureau but not for travel. Before I traveled with it, the spray released an even fine mist on your body. Now, unfortunately it squirts out not evenly but drippy in which it leaks all over my hand and the bottle. I have to wipe down the bottle afterwards and wash my hands from the leakage. I wished I never travelled with it. The drippy leaky bottle is definitely worth wearing the juice though!

This one is growing on me. I bought this a few years ago and could not wear it. Felt there was a scent in there that gave me a headache. Right now, I find it quite nice. No more headache. Reminds me of Bright Crystal, but I prefer Incanto Shine. It smells fresh and clean. I don't get the pineapple note at all, nor peach or anything sweet as a matter of fact. Definitely citrucy and with a touch of amber and wood scent. Works well to pair with a few other fragrance, like Light Blue, or Chanel Chance Eau fraiche, but Eau Fraiche is too powerful and the Incanto not strong enough to give much at that point. Wears well a the office. Does not last long till all is left is a skin scent though.

I love this fragrance from Salvatore Ferragamo, it's a very fruity floral fragrance that's perfect for summer, but you can wear this all year round. I love the tropical fruity notes which are very prominent in this, but after the dry down the floral notes of peony and freesia start to come through. This is a lovely fragrance and Chemist Warehouse sells this for only $39.99 for a large 100ml bottle so it's very affordable at CWH too. It's also a very versatile fragrance, you can wear this all year round, you can wear it everyday or for special occasions, it doesn't really matter.

This was yet another blind buy, ordered online as it is unavailable in NZ. As soon as I sprayed it I recognized the smell, Victoria's Secret Bombshell. To me they smell identical, and I already have Bombshell, but only in the body mist so it's nice to have one that lasts longer. Smells of passionfruit and pineapple to me, lovely scent but if I had known just how similar it was to Bombshell I may not have purchased it. Notes do not change during wear on me, they only fade. Like it anyway, good silage and average longevity. Perfect for a casual summer day :)

This is an ok scent. Inoffensive, fruity and slightly floral (not sugary or super sweet). Additionally, lasting power was not that good on me. For reference, I have relatively high body temperature and do not have dry skin. Sillage is good at the time of application. Not sickeningly overpowering, but noticeable. Overall, it was ok. I don't like or dislike it. Too boring for me and nothing special, so I swapped it with a friend for something else. Don't buy this retail price though, since you can buy this online or at marshalls at relatively cheap prices.
