Incanto

Incanto is a very much of a unique fragrance. The most dominating notes are plum, peach, and soft florals (jasmine & peony) The opening is very pleasant; slightly spicy with a fruity touch. And that's not it, as the plum and peach notes stay with me pretty much for the rest of the day accompanying peony, lily and jasmine :-) The dry down feels really rich - woody. I get soft precious woods and the fruity notes which still linger in the background. Incanto has good lasting power and silage and would make a great fragrance for a working day in office. It would also make a great companion on your summer holiday. In no way would I ever agree with those of you stating that it is soapy or cheap. Incanto is mesmerizing, soft, sensual and NO SOAP whatsoever :-) I hate soapy fragrances and should I get the slightest hint of it in Incanto - I would bin the bottle immediately. Great quality, lovely bottle. I can't compare it closely to anything in my collection but I feel that Incanto may appeal to Tresor lovers. Thumbs up for Salvatore!

Having worn this perfume for about a year in Northern Britain, I love it. I think the notes are quite correct and, unlike some, I get no synthetic smell. Perfumes react to our own skin chemistry and I am late fifties, very white, dry skin and it just smells exactly as it should. On my 30 something friend with oily, olive toned skin, this smells completely different and she doesn't like it. You would never think it was sprayed from the same bottle. It suits me perfectly and, unlike some of my "in your face" scents, this sirs quite close like my Narciso Rouge, but still projects enough to get compliments with knocking people out. It is one of my "grown up" scents and my husband loves it. Nice to wear to a meal without putting fellow diners off their food. I find longevity medium. 4 to 6 hours. Not unreasonable and, at the price, this elegant, understated little scent is a steal.

Except for the reminders of Tresor and Tuscany per Donna, I could simply reiterate everything Sherapop wrote about this delicious scent. It mystifies me that this hasn't become a classic, and mystifies me even more that it is so inexpensive. It's a lovely daytime scent. Not too overpowering or intrusive for the office, yet with a little refresh, it's nice for evening as well. As sherapop wrote, it's not unique, but it's charming and inoffensive and even though it isn't the most unique fragrance in the world, it's not mundane either. A little bit unexpected. Actually, this scent fits well with Ferragamo's image... a nice, classic shoe that is both elegant and understatedly fashionable. I love it. It's versatile, appropriate, and a cut (or two) above casual.

Incanto is the kind of merry white floralicity that I hoped Pure Poison would be. In many ways, it is a generic perfume. The opening was extremely disappointing to me, I was all set to write a harsh diatribe against the lack of originality in modern perfumery when Incanto reached up and said in stern tones: 'Don't you DARE!'. Indeed, Incanto has that x-factor. It is clean, uplifting, artifically floral, a tiny bit soapy and incredibly beautiful. Like I mentioned above, there is nothing really 'unique' about it that I can descibe except that it delights me. In fact, I almost gave myself the vapours from sniffing the fumes such was my compulsive attraction to my wrist. I purchased a bottle online almost immediately to feed my addiction.

I'm so happy I found this on a random trip to a "faraway" mall and saw it at a perfume standalone store that had the last bottle on display. I have loved this since I first had a small bottle of this in the complimentary toiletries pouch on SINGAPORE AIRLINES First Class back in 2009. After it was emptied, I forgot about it. Anyway, I think it has now been reformulated as I remember it was much more Oriental Spicy upon dry down. It is now more fruity but I still love it. To me, it is an iconic scent from S. Ferragamo. For 45SGD, it is worth every penny.

got as a gift and thought it was nice , a little generic ...its been sitting a while probably a few years , kind of forgot about it and then went back to it...it's changed for the better ... the fruit that is supposed to be peach has strengthened but smells like pear to me and it has this beautiful almost animalic but super clean and classy musk... it smells of understated elegance. the juice has darkened slightly, it now smells much more expensive than it once was. beautiful.

I have very fond memories of this perfume, it used to be one of my very first "serious" scents when I was finishing high school and it accompanied me throughout university. It's a pretty white floral, universally likeable and quite inoffensive, perfect for work or school environment. It was also quite affordable. Projection and persistence were fine. It's a very lovely perfume to wear, that brings you a moment of calmness and serenity as you spray it.

If you dig sweet, peachy-musky + sandalwood heavy fragrances like Burberry Woman, Fancy Love, Tresor, etc, then I'm sure you'd dig this, too. Smells much more expensive than the insanely low price you can find this for online. Decent sillage and lasting power, as well. Thumbs up! Edited to add: There's some debate here about the soapiness on the drydown, and I do finding it a tad soapy, which I personally don't mind, it helps tone down the sweetness.

Received it today unsniffed and I am satisfied. Not the parfume i love, but i really like it. The scent is sweet, powdery and very, very warm. The opening is little spicy, but then really soon the warm notes hit in and makes me feel really cozy. A must for winter. UPD: I think I should change this a little bit. After wearing it more than three days in a row I've grown to love this perfect, cozy scent, so I take my words back for just "liking it".

This one is extremely adorable for me ! Becomes soapy oriental floral scent on my skin, I really love it, I always get compliments everytime I wear it both from men and women. Also stays very long hours on me. I have all Incanto series (except Incanto Bliss), and surely this one has the most overwhelwing scent. You should try on your skin before buying it.

This is such a lovely, feminine scent! It's definitely sweet and fruity at first, with the peach and plum notes being really prominent. As it dries down, it gets more floral and powdery, which I love. The sandalwood base adds a nice touch of warmth. Overall, it's a very romantic and enchanting fragrance - perfect for a special occasion.

I love this one, It sweet but not over powering, Suit for every occasions. At first I just ok with it, but after my boyfreind smell it he said I smell very sweet, so it become my signature, it's the only perfume he like after I know my self again I become addicted, and can't live without it.

just got this one and at first..it didnt really wow me but now as it is developing on my skin it rocks...lasts really nice too Edit: finally realize what this smells like.... if you had a picnic in the woods while drinking peach iced tea. really deeply sweet but complex at the same time

This is a gorgeous white floral perfume. Staying power very good. Dont know any other perfume smelling like this.

I fantasised about plums since the start of my “Fragrantica journey”, and I’ve kissed a few frogs in my quest for the coveted aroma. Since a lot of these detested frogs...er...frags featured it in their pyramid, I began to suspect that the plum note in perfume may not be what I imagined. But here it was, finally! Not overripe, not sugared, not spiced, not smoked, not pruned, not drowned in odorata sexuales. The raw freshness of a sweetly-tart plum like some of the most delicious ones you relish when in season. Even better, it’s combined with the skin of peach here. (There’s also a third component in the head albeit not tangible to me - ‘pepper from Jamaica’.) Many of the scents that speak to me have prominent peachy facets. I’m not even sure whether it’s the plum or precisely its fusion with peach that does it for me. But the ‘amber woody’ classification surprised me. Incanto seems to be much more fruity and floral than woody, and I’m not sure if ‘ambergris’ (as in the blurb) is the same as amber (as in the Fragrantica pyramid). The blurb also mentions grains of ambrette in the heart, which is missing from the Fragrantica pyramid. I agree with the comparisons to So Oscar in that both fragrances are gentle and understated, although the former seems a bit more quaint or antique than Incanto. I love how So Oscar has the plum in the trail. But I think I can feel the plum in Incanto for the whole duration, not just the introduction. At least, this is my take.

I blind bought this as it has all the notes I love in one bottle, plum, peach, lily, sandalwood, amber and a little musk. I used Fragrantica's search by notes, put in the notes I love and those that I don't, and Incanto came up. I was really reasonably priced so I bought a bottle. The bottle, unfortunately, is lower quality. The lid is weak plastic and arrived broken. I was going to return it but I like it enough that I think I'll just throw away the broken, flimsy top and keep it. The scent is nice, fruity with sweet floral but also slightly tart peachy plum so isn't too sweet, and soft sandalwood and light musk. The lily floral note is just the right amount. I don't think it smells synthetic though it's not as complex as some other designer fragrances I've tried. The fruity top notes smell a little like a lotion I used to have but the sandalwood and musk add to it. I like it a lot. It's not too loud, doesn't give me a headache, but I do wish it lasted longer and came in a smaller bottle. The only size I could find was 3.4 ounces and it's huge in my cabinet. It smells a little like Nest Black Tulip, though lighter/softer and less complex and not as earthy. Must be the plum notes and soft spicy background. I put both on side by side and Black Tulip blew Incanto away. Still, I like Incanto for more casual wear.

I got a sample in a swap, and looked at the notes and thought "wow, how did I not notice this before!"--I love floral-fruity amber perfumes. So, I tried this even before I tried what I'd actually swapped for! It is a lovely amber, with just enough fruit and floral notes to keep it fresh...while the amber provides such a nice mellowing element in contrast to the peony, jasmine and lily. To my nose, the predominant note is amber--a rich, warm, sweet (but not candied) amber. The stone-fruit are singing harmony, with the florals providing a gentle soprano in the background. A very nice composition, in my opinion. It reminds me of VS Amber Romance, an old favorite of mine--a rich, sexy amber. The musk-peach-sandalwood combo is also vaguely like Ellen Tracy-Ellen Tracy (sans bergamot). If Ellen Tracy hooked up with a tall, handsome, rich Amber, this would be their baby :) The day I actually wore it, it was 90+ degrees out and the fragrance disintegrated quickly. But, I'd spritzed a tissue and was using that as a bookmark....I kept smelling this amazing scent, and sure enough it was the tissue! I think I'll save this for some milder fall or winter days and am looking forward to experiencing it then.

This one works very well with my chemistry. The plum and peach settle down quickly and the base notes support the peony and lily beautifully. I'm sure the jasmine is in there, but it seems to act almost like a link between notes here, instead of being in the forefront. The overall effect as it settles and changes is one of quiet warmth. There's something verging on creamy on me for some reason and the peony in this one reminds those I grew up with, which had a near-peppery effect without being spicy. I agree with those who have said this reminds them of a soap. It's a soothing, fine soap though, the sort of triple milled luxury that is a pleasure to lather and breathe in. It strikes me as a good choice for cooler weather because there is something cozy about it. My bottle is a contemporary purchase (produced in the last year) and nothing about it reminds of Tresor or similar bold, extremely complex scents. The bottle I have is far more subtle. Is it a "safe" floral? Perhaps, but sometimes that suits the situation well. Is it memorable? Perhaps not terribly so, but I still like it a lot and look forward to trying it again in colder weather.

I'm wearing this beauty right now and I can't stop smelling myself, it's so incredibly delicious but not in a gourmand way more like in an elegant way! The peach in this scent is really beautiful, in fact if you love peach scents I would really recommend trying Incanto! I've had this scent for about 10 years, I think it's one of the oldest fragrances in my collection and I didn't get tired of it, in fact I'm considering purchasing another bottle soon, as I think it's weather discontinued, or hard to find. I haven't seen it for a while, but the feeling that I might finish it soon makes me sad, which is definitely a plus for this scent, considering the amount of scents I own and the fact that I rarely repurchase the same scent. The longevity is good, I've applied it 3 hours ago and I can still clearly smell it, normally it will last for about 5, 6 hours, which is great! I also received lots of compliments while wearing it, which is certainly a plus! Edit:I've tracked it online and I can't believe how inexpensive it is, I'm totally buying another bottle!

I blind buy it because I love Valentino V and So Oscar De la Renta, it’s closer to V Valentino, which is great, but doesn’t last as long as Valentino ( not even 4 hours compare to Valentino’s 12 hours ) and it’s not as complex as V. So Oscar doesn’t have that amber undertone and it’s even more feminine than Incanto, Incanto is tiny bit sweeter because of amber, So Oscar is more flowery, that’s why i think is closer to V. But Incanto goes trough stage in opening when is almost identical to So Oscar, but dry down is closer to V. Great perfume and I really appreciate it, very inoffensive, light, semisweet fruity amberish floral, not sour/tart as some fruity florals, something like vanilla (I guess amber and musk are deceiving me, amber here is the same like vanilla in V) smooth, cozy (sort of sweater perfume) light amber floral. I wear incanto in the winter as replacement for V.

After so much searching I finally found the original Incanto which rarely seems to exist in shops here. As my expectations were somewhat high, I must admit that I am slightly disappointed. The opening is thick, fruity and sweet - I get the peach and the plum with some peony and pepper, but it's scratches my nostrils. I agree with Sherapop that it's almost identical to Tresor's opening - solemn and overpowering. I was ready to wash it off once I get home, but by then (half an hour later), the pervasive mess was gone, leaving place to a more tempered mix of lilly, musk and dry woods with a sweet trace from the fruits. It has a warm and musky clean trail, almost like an expensive soap and it lasts and lasts in a very pleasant way... If you're ready to go through the opening, the dry down will be your reward. A fragrance to revisit, especially if your taste changes.

Ferragamo's INCANTO opens with a big bold shower of peach and plum, making it impossible for me not to think of TUSCANY PER DONNA and TRESOR. The peach dominates in all three of these creations and is harmoniously blended with a variety of floral and spice elements. I am mystified as to why INCANTO is categorized as oriental woody when the other two are oriental floral. My own label for all three would be oriental fruity-floral since the peach is most prominent throughout all stages of all three. Although I obviously do not find it unique, I find INCANTO deliciously wearable. This is definitely a very sweet perfume, and the woodiness is all but masked by the strong allspice. But if you love TRESOR and/or TUSCANY (or LALIQUE...), you'll like this one as well.

I dint know the notes I’m getting really, but, this starts off green floral, even a touch sour (if yuo think greens come across as sour), sometimes when I sniff it’s a tad powdery dry and semi tart floral with touch of fruit, and other times it’s powdery smooth clean with floral and clean fruity nuances. It’s not like it starts off, this changes. The hot weather eats it a bit, it’s nice at night. This git driwned iut today during the day when I tested it, I went back in the evening with clean skin. Very nice smooth powdery floral that leans clean. Few inches off skin sillage, more if you use everywhere. I’m testing Burberry Brit edp and it’s got the sweet smooth talc powdery vibe too, different scents though, just an observation

I used to wear this back in the day and loved it. I decided to repurchase a few years back but it got lost in the sauce because I have many others that I would choose over this. This morning I decided to layer this with The Kingdom which is a pretty strong fragrance and this by far is what I am catching wafts of more than The Kingdom. I remember now why I love this so much. It's long lasting and so comforting. I can never get tired of this one. It's clean, smooth, slightly woody, white floral and just fresh. So hard to describe but it's smooth like honey. I will make sure to pull this out more and even layer when i want a fresher feel.

I like many of the fragrances in Salvatore Ferragamo's Incanto range, but this original Incanto is still my favourite, this is a beautiful and elegant floral fruity fragrance, I especially love the notes of jasmine and peony in this since I love flowers and flower scented fragrances.I also love the intensity and richness of the fragrance and the longevity on my skin is very good. Even better that Chemist Warehouse sells Ferragamo's Incanto fragrances for only $39.99 per 100ml bottle, so it's also an affordable fragrance that you can wear everyday.

Incanto reminds me very much of CK Truth...the top is grassy verging on clover and the drydown is a slightly peppery sandlwood. There's just the right amount of sillage so it doesn't project for miles, just the 1-2 feet around you, like it should. The main difference is the synthetic plastic in the middle...if it weren't for this, I would scoop up a big bottle of this one right away. As it is, I'll wear if gifted but won't put out my own $ for it.

Like Catbiscuit, for me the intial opening of Incanto was generic and somewhat disappointing. Fruity and sweet to where I thought this was going to be a linear sugar pop juice. Then as this sugary nectar starts to fuse with the warmth of my skin, soft clouds of floral musk begin to billow and envelop me with a clean embrace. Peachy, warm and white. Incanto is like a comforting crocheted angora blanket on your skin.

This is a little delight. Upon spraying it, I can smell flowers, fruits and a touch of sweetness and creaminess. As it dries, the peach becomes way more prominent and a touch of wood starts to emerge. It reminds me of peach or apricot scented shampoo. Clean and fruity at the same time. Absolutely delicious.

This is a safe sweet floral scent. I can't really pick out the individual notes in this one. I don't think its oriental woody, to me its more floral. I don't find it unique but I do find it wearable and pleasant.

I got this in a used perfume lot on gumtree. I’m super happy with this one. It’s the perfect fragrance for an out of the shower, clean vibe. I found myself using this every time I got out of the shower.

Very nice scent. It smells like sweet honey on my skin. I would wear this to the office or during the day. I think it's too light to be a nightime scent. It lasts about 5 hours on me.

Update to my review below from June. This is a winter scent! It smell warm and golden, and doesn't get overshadowed by heat, sun and sweat. Im enjoying it even more!

Sweet and elegant. Fits me very well. It's not for every day use though. The mood and the occasion must be selected for this special fragrance.

I was obsessed with this one for a while,sniffing and sniffing...its so delicious.Now i use it only sometimes,cause it lost its magic to me.

After trying Signorina eau de toilette I fall in love with this one and so decided to try other SF inventions. I ordered 2 other SF fragrancies Incanto and Incanto boom with a big expectation. I have a great regret to say that neither of them correspond to my taste. Incanto is a charming floral fruity perfume with dominating Lilly-Amber powdery accords and plum-peachy facet. I tried hard to love this scent but it does not agree with me. It's too fruity and uninteresting for me provoking a slight headache. I get annoyed with it rather quickly. I put this responsibility on plum and peach. Surprisingly the lasting power is not exceptional. Usually fragrancies voted by most part of reviewers as moderate or light last for ages on me. But this one lasts maximum 4h in best cases. May be the period chosen is not the best? I should rather try it in winter. Any case I think that Signorina is the best one. Sorry Incanto even if you are considered as SF classic. P.S. The lettering on my bottle is white and the perfume is produced in Italy. There is only a production address on the bottom of the bottle without any web site and e-mail address information.

Delicious peach, rouded, creamy and warm in the opening 👌 A powdery and flowery notes (like fresia) giving warm, sweet scent with a hint of woods amd flat musk base for another 2 hours. No trace of plum, no note of sandalwood note to my nose. Nothing special. Rather medicore, spring-appropriate but lacking class and refinement scent. The initial ceaminess of peach dissaperas too fast, the base of some artificial musk remains as the only prominent note here. Have to say - it smells really cheap. Like something pretending to be Tresor or Lalique cousin, but it doesn’t have class and doesn’t have good taste of those classic perfumes. Might have been really nice scent, but something was added here that screams non expensive ingredients and it just ruined the idea. So dissapointing....🥺 P.s. it has absolutely NOTHING common with Allure Chanel.

I received this sample as a freebie and despite it smelling quite lovely and feminine on a friend of mine, sort of light and fruity, on me it smells like a terribly harsh and scratchy generic men's aftershave. Pass!

I bought this without testing at a Saks outlet. I only just read the reviews in Fragrantica. It was $24.99. I like it. I will have to say that when I first put it on I can barely smell anything! But the drydown smells wonderful! It is very soft, powdery and peachy, with a hint of musk. It lasts for quite a while and the first day I put it one it lasted until the next morning. It is a very delicate fragrance. However walking around the mall, I asked some clerks if they could smell it and they said they could when I came in and they said they liked it. The written information above seems very inaccurate. It says there is pepper and ambergris??? None of that is showing in the notes with pictures. And I certainly don't smell any pepper, thankfully! The picture notes seem accurate. It was a nice little surprise for me to remember my first time purchasing anything at Saks! I have never bought anything there before so that was the allure! LOL!

I bought this fragrance last year and it's okay but not my taste. It's an unisex scent so anybody can wear it. It's an elegant scent and can be worn in an office setting because it's kind of soft and not overpowering. In regards to the fruit notes, I didn't sense the peach or plum that everybody is talking about. I would say that the musky notes are stronger to me. I am more of a fruity/sweet scent typa girl and I was a little let down that this perfume didn't meet my expectations. If you're into winter/fall season perfumes, this is the right one for you. I can't picture wearing this during summer. Notes that I sense the most are floral, woody, and musk. Longevity is moderate (3-5 hours) and strength is also moderate. I think the price is worth it for what you get. I bought this perfume at $25 which is pretty affordable, just not for me.

i have had this perfume for about a year now. purchased it on sale at my local drug store. I was actually looking for vivienne westwood naughty alice but could not find it and this to me smells almost exactly like it. the best time for me to wear it is during the day and for me i notice that I begin to wear it more come the cooler months.. autumn and winter. it's a perfect sweater fragrance. although when it runs out I am not sure if I will re-purchase. It is very nice but it does not last long on me i would say prob two or three hours and I find myself having to re-apply. I read some reviews and I am surprised that a lot of people smell fruit notes.. all I get from this is pure baby powder nothing more. hence why it reminds me of Naughty Alice. It's a nice perfume I just wish it lasted longer on me.

This is a soft and and and lady like fragrance and depending upon application,with low to moderate longevity and intimate to moderate sillage. I would recommend a light mist, which is easily done with the fine sprayer dispersal. The top fruit notes dissipate quickly, and the peony and jasmine linger slightly longer. The amber note is the predominant essence with hints of sandalwood. The musk is quite light. This is suitable for office wear and not polarizing. A nice date fragrance for escorts who don’t like perfumes which would be noticeable to others.

Ferragamo's talent for creating perfumes that are so feminin and classic without trying to imitate old classic (themes)astonishes me again and again. My favourite of his is FEMME, but I like this one, indeed, too. Incanto starts juicy sweet, with underlying lily. The pepper is very mild and just adds this sth. extra in the opening. After the opening starts to fade the flowers (which I can't anymore distinguish)become very strong, but not at all too much or cloying. They smell like 'dark'. The sandal is quite strong and is accentuated with the amber.

It's floral with a big peppery kick. It smelled a bit mature for me, and I couldn't detect any hint of the fruitiness. But after a few seconds, the sweet fruitiness started to develop and that was when I couldn't stop smelling my wrist! Floral perfumes usually give me a headache, but Incanto is my exception. The peach balances it out and makes it a very lovely scent (and it smells expensive to me!). I find myself reaching for this perfume a lot. It's cozy and sensual, elegant and romantic.

I like this perfume after a bath because I get a coconutty vibe from it. It smells to me like a rather deep noted formula. But def. some coconutty hints in there. I can tell it's an Oriental, which I love for after the bath in the late evening. It is a cozy, comforting rather old school type of scent. Not too crisp and overpowering. I wouldn't consider it a daytime scent it is more comfortable to wear in the evening. It smells rich and warm to me.

I like white floral scent but not generally speaking. I have bought a sample of Incanto based on the middle peony and base amber note. I am delighted with this perfume. It's young and fresh, perfect for springtime. It can be wore by a wide range of women : from 20 to 35. Friendly quality/price.

I liked it when I first bought it, but after a while it lost its charm, becoming too floral for my taste. I gave it to a coworker who loves it, though, so that made me happy. :) Beautiful bottle. Shine is a more youthful, fruitier interpretation, so try it if you don't like the original.
