this is a very nice scent. i bought it because of the endorsement of max forti, one of my favourite reviewers on youtube. i like his taste in the designer category so i trusted him. i have to say this fragrance is a good compromise of modern and old-fashioned, it has a good complexity so it's not your super mass-appealing edp. it opens with a gentle taste of rum, then the leather appears. the leather note reminds me a bit bel ami by hermes in the (very nice) current formula, slightly animalic but very smooth. the leather goes in the background with a soft note of iris and amber, so the protagonist of the drydown is a superb note of tobacco. the tobacco here is more like a smoked tobacco in a pipe: my beloved father used to smoke with pipe so for me it's a good memory. i have to admit that i cant detect any oud here, maybe something in the opening and in the deep drydown, but the title "oud" is a mistake. however the blend is well done, ferragamo oud doesnt smell cheap at all and the smoked tobacco in this juice is one of the best i ever smelled so far. it's difficult to compare it with other fragrances: maybe if you put in a shaker some gentleman scents like bulgari man in black and hermes bel ami u can have ferragamo oud. another fragrance/after-shave similiar but absolutely not identical is extro cosmesi tabacco: the difference is the extro one instead of the boozy note have the vanilla, and the leather is not animalic, more creamy like ferrari leather essence. the major issue of this scent is the performance. it works like ch men prive: moderate projection in the opening, skin scent after 2-3 hours, gone after 5-6. maybe the ferragamo one is bit longer lasting but it's the same performance more or less. it's a shame having a so bad performance for a so great fragrance. due to the poor longevity-projection i recommend this edp only if u find it under 50euros. who can wear this fragrance? a smoker for sure, someone well dressed even after work. do you remember jude law in the fantastic beasts? in my opinion is a good picture of someone wearing this scent, a bit dandy and well-dressed without being outdated. only for cold season, for 30 and up. not for every one,if u cant try it blind buy only if u like the perfumes i mentioned before. ottimo profumo, mix di rum, cuoio e soprattutto tabacco fumato dalla pipa. performance deludente ma il profumo merita. non adatto ai giovanissimi, meglio dai 30 in su. scent-8,5 long-6 sillage-5.5 versatility-7 uniqueness-8 presentation-8 compliment factor-6 my vote-8,5 in one word- pipe alternative: bulgari man in black, hermes bel ami, extro cosmesi tabacco, Ferrari leather essence, ch men prive.

This is one of my best blind buys and I can’t be any happier. I can also understand why this scent can be polarizing to some folks. Its the fun part of this hobby. You can’t describe your happiness once you smelled a scent that exist only in your imagination then your nose fell in love with it on the first encounter especially when it starts to evolve. Its love at first sniff to me. I like it’s opening but some folks find it pretty strong. It reminds me of three fragrances that I also have in my collection namely; Ungaro III, Jacques Bogart Oud Edition and Interlude Man Black Iris but this one stands out. Between this one and the niche Interlude Man Black Iris, I would pick this one in a heartbeat. Definitely not a mass appealing fragrance, but probably an interesting scent for collectors and hobbyist to try. For some reason, I didn't detect any Oud as the name says or maybe its just hiding in the background like a friendly ghost. I was amazed by this scent profile. The more prominent leather notes blended well with the spices and rum giving out that gorgeous aroma. Needless to say that I am a big fan of leather based fragrances because of its masculine appeal. I am not an expert but as I curiously read the odor profile, probably the Tonka bean gives out that faint sweet tobacco almond vibe and the benzoin enhances it for that sexy smoky whiff, something that I personally like. It's great for cold weather and since fall season is just around the corner, I am excited to wear this soon or more for personal olfactory pleasure rather than compliments. SF has amazing fragrances in their arsenal and my favorite was SFU Signature, but now it was dislodged by this one. I personally think SF is an underrated designer house. After I tried and tested it, I wholeheartedly say that SFerragamo Oud truly belongs to my personal fragrance collection. Performance wise, pretty decent in all departments plus the reasonable price point. I would give this amazing juice a 10/10 “Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. #1314 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Basically this is a take on Bvlgari "Man in Black" with a light lean to the discontinued flankers "Man in Black Essence" and "Man in Black Orient", two scents that are tragically no more, while a whole host of barely mediocre and not-worth-owning Bvlgari "Essence" scents remain, like "Glacial", "Neroli", "Rain", "Terrae", "Wood." "Man in Black" itself remains on the market, and I'm certain Amouage "Interlude Black Iris" was released in response to "Man in Black's" success, upping the ante with olibanum and myrhh, as Amouage is wont to do. But this is pretty damn close to a hybrid of both for a mere $50, and I'm not missing the incense at all. This is long-lasting and gets noticed right away, which tells me don't wear this in the car pool, on the plane, unless you've been traveling some time without a bath and you'd smell the worse without the fragrance (It happens. Been there.). Casual and date wear, but not for the kiddies (no oud is). Business, dating and formal wear for the forty and up I think, but I'll share this with a 20-year-old fragrance enthusiast I know this afternoon to get his reaction. His taste runs more to freshies and amber-vanilla's, so we shall see. In any case if you like westernized-oud scents, that come without grandma's rose oil added in, which is my own preference, you can't make a mistake with this. If it had it to do over again, and compared the $185 Amouage "Interlude Black Iris" and this head-to-head, I'd put the Black Iris back on the shelf, and not solely because of price either. I prefer this!

This one was a slow burn for me. I picked this up based exclusively off of the note breakdown (I love boozy tobacco perfumes) (probably indicative of a problem), and was pretty disappointed based off of my first wearing. While at the time I was totally fine with masculine LEANING perfumes, perfumes that went full on masculine always reminded me of that annoying guy that swears something that "will put hair on your chest" in earnest. Not the kind of person I personally want to smell like... or be around. I put it away for a couple of months, figuring I'd give it to someone as an unsolicited gift. I came back to it after my bottle of Pavillon Rouge broke (RIP), because I was in the mood to smell like I might be a walking talking red flag, when the depth of this perfume really kicked in. On my skin, the guaiac wood takes center stage; it's very smokey, but is sweetened up a bit by the vanilla-like tonka bean and benzoin. The leather sits just behind the guaiac wood, but is softened by the floral notes. While I wish that the tobacco and rum played a larger role (again, just based off of MY chemistry: ymmv), this still satisfies an itch that I didn't know I had. If you are wanting to dip a toe into perfumes that are more traditionally masculine, I think this one is a great starting point. Prior to this, I couldn't stand overtly masculine scents: this has slowly but surely changed my mind. It is now one of my favorite perfumes in my collection, and for its price (I paid around $50 for 100 ml) should be in more people's collection.

This stuff right here is a banger!!! And I can't stress that enough although I'd like to add this is also something most people might need to sample before buying hence not blind buy recommended. This kind of reminds me of Lancomes; O De Lancome even though the notes are polar opposites but the opening really put me on that track. This is something which kind of Makes me embody the term "Anemoia". This is no where near to smelling like oud, it's more spicy and powdery if you will. The spicy feeling stands atop almost like cinnamon and coriander as well as bunch of those grounded and nutty spices mixed up together. The rum note does stand out more in the opening but by the end and the drydown it turns into a more sophisticated masterpiece something like spicy powder lol I don't even know if that's a term. I feel like that powdery feeling is the direct result of iris but it's more soft and not overwhelming but it's still there, take DHI and reduce the iris potency by 95% that's what I get of off here. Overall it's a 10/10 frag for me, it's got all the things I need in a fragrance like staying power and strong sillage like straight in your face which made me feel kind of nauseous hence I'd say easy with the sprays. Great scent trail as well. Best for those who like spicy, earthy, powdery, tobbacoish and boozy fragrances. I wouldn't say it's for everyone hence try before you buy. Hi everyone, here is my honest review for thie fragrance. I bought it back in 2020 and my initial impression is that it is different from what I expected. Back then when I first tested this fragrance on a paper, it reminded me of ketchup thats been sitting and left in a corner for years... maybe i have not been around designer ouds that much at the time although I had Gold Rose Oud by TT and Oud Satin Mood by MFK and had no issues with those except for GRO being too mature to my liking. Now its 2022 and I cant stop wearing it, people around me love it(they also did when I had them smell it before back in 2020, but i dont know why I didnt). The design of the bottle and the scent profile is well very well executed. It has a dark side to it, but expresses its clean and elegant side equally. To me this expresses a gentleman that is mature and has everything figured out, and wants more but not in a greedy way.. just for fun. It evokes the scent of a strong man and plays by his strengths, yet he is equally vulnerable side to him but he makes it clear that his vulnerability is not his weakness. If I did not have any other oud fragrances, this would be my top 1 and not OSM by MFK. This smells like confidence in a bottle.

Boozy is an understatement. It will smell like someone has spilled a glass of spiced rum all over you. For me the rum and tobacco notes last upwards of two hours. If that does not appeal to you then skip this one. The mix of rum, tobacco, and nutmeg is almost strong enough to make my throat burn. It smells heavily like burning wood. I pick up tuberose after 15 minutes, mild leather after about an hour, and the iris after an hour and a half. Two hours in is where this perfume really shines. For the next two hours it smells almost exactly like Man in Black on me. It ends with a smooth leather/wood/tonka aroma. The amount of benzoin in this has to be miniscule because that note always screams at me in any other perfume. The leather note is pretty weak to me until the sweeter notes die off. As far as oud goes; no, not really. If you want an actual oud cologne this is not it.

I remember getting a sample of this in the beginning of my fragrance journey and although it intriqued me since I've never smelled a scent like this, overall it was way too bold and dark for my liking. Fast forward 5 years later (and roughly 200+ fragrances owned) and I can now appreciate this fragrance. It's very Tom Ford'ish (especially tobacco oud). It also reminds me of amouage Interlude man, but I enjoy this more since it doesn't have that polarizing oregano note. It's a shame this fragrance is discontinued, I would definitely pick up a bottle. It's not crowd pleasing, but it has character and I would use it for my own enjoyment under the right circumstances. If you like fragrances like interlude man and tobacco oud, you will like this fragrance. Overall solid fragrance.

The initial spray may be overwhelming, but give it time, and it will grow on you. The dark boozy tobacco leather blended with a hint of appealing oud in the background is amazingly intoxicating, and it will make you craving for more. The projection is great for the first few hours, but it won't be a beast mode in longevity. While you can listen to Curly and not be a sis sprayer, I would advise reapplying instead of over spraying because it will choke you out. It is potent in the beginning and can be smelled through the mask. The current discounted price currently is a steal, buy it now if you enjoy the notes.

I love this fragrance, the spice, leather, rum and guaiac wood definitely take center stage here. This is not blind buy safe unless you love spicy leathery frags. To my disappointment, the tobacco note seems very downplayed here. I bought this based on the note breakdown and was very pleased with the overall smell and longevity. This is more of a cold weather evening scent IMHO but would work in Fall and Spring as well. Long lasting and very masculine so be careful on the sprays. SF Oud and Bulgari Man Black Orient are my two favorite winter scents. 9/10 for me!

Similar style to Bvlgari Man Black but not the same as one previous reviewer said. This flanker has a more sophisticated touch and closer to Ferragamo's original. Tobacco is more noticeable while the Oud and spices are not as pronounced as in Bvlgari Man Black. You can actually sense the notes here. and its more gentle. Not necessarily better or worse than Bvlgari's. Still have to see which I like to wear more and compare.

It takes a couple of wears to get used to the initial spray, and the dry-down process. For me, it's after that 2-3 hr mark when this scent starts to shine. Yes, the spices and leather give off that dark type of scent, but once you embrace it and it lingers around you, it's sexy. Start off with 1, maybe 2 sprays, and see how it wears on you. I do 2-3 sprays and its enough.

While this has the same notes as men in black, it is blended so different. Too me I get a lot of guaiac wood more than anything. This is a great fragrance none the less. Too me i lean towards this more than men in black. This fragrance is more my taste or smell I should say.

Smells to me of Green tobacco, rum and woods. No sweetness. Just a great mature Manly scent. I LOVE IT

Ferragamo Oud by Salvatore Ferragamo is a new 2020 release and is a strong, spicy, semi-animalic mix that smells like a mix of leather, tobacco, oud, and a mix of spices, perhaps something like cumin. Other notes—like rum, iris, tonka, benzoin, and tuberose—are listed, maybe contributing small floral and sweet bits, but the main story is the spicy, animalic mix involving tobacco. Interestingly, however, it’s dry enough that the mix isn’t too sharp—that is, the mix is not overwhelming in any one aspect to make it intolerable. It’s provocative without being unbearable. And it does simmer down somewhat after a more animalic and spicy opening to a more blended leather/tobacco/spices blend that is less funky in the dry down, as is often the case. The tobacco is not strong but present throughout, the leather being the most significant characteristic, still seemingly a first among equals rather than dominant. Overall, I like it as a modern, bold masculine option—I don’t love it, but it’s quite beastly and interesting, especially for the price. It seems to be sold in a handful of spots overseas, but the best is the discounter FragranceBuy.CA (a great site) for $46 for 100ml, a price which, given the audaciousness and performance of the juice, is excellent, so I’d certainly encourage fans of spicy, somewhat animalic scents to check this out. I’m not usually a fan of leather scents that lean animalic but this one is nicely done. 7 out of 10

Was able to pick this up locally for $45 and at that price, i think its a pretty good pickup since i've seen the prices of this shoot up lately. Other than the spices, i don't really see a huge similarity with Bvlgari Man In Black which is way sweeter, i also find this way more leathery. This is significantly drier with the addition of oud to my nose. It's definitely a manly scent and younger crowds may not really like this. I find it very intriguing, though i feel like the oud is stronger in the opening but never overbearing, then kind of sits in the background. This is not an everyday scent. This would be good either dressed up or even for a brooding leather jacket riding a motorcycle type of person on a cooler evening. Not sure this would be a good blind buy but i can definitely see an audience for this. Have not smelled Ungaro Oud so i can't attest to the similarities. On the dry down i get a little Gucci Guity Absolute less the medicinal quality, with a little bit of spices added. Supposedly this is similar to Amouage Interlude Black Iris but i haven't tested that for comparison.

Ferragamo Oud is a smoky, spicy and woody fragrance. Its opening is smoky and spicy with some tobacco, giving the sensation that the fragrance will have a strong aroma, however after a few minutes the aroma becomes more woody and balsamic at the same time, due to the benzoin, but the smoky and leathery tone remains throughout the development of the fragrance. This fragrance is ideal for use during fall and winter, on nights out, outings with friends to a bar or casually, due to the spices and smoky and leathery tone it has. Its longevity on me was not that bad, in fact it lasted 8 hours, and its sillage was average. In short, it is a fragrance that might appeal to those who use spicy and smoky fragrances, but I do not recommend it as a safe blind buy, because I have read that some batches do not have good longevity. I find it a personal taste fragrance.

First impression: this is a strong like. Be forewarned that this fragrance has a strong smoky smell. I don’t normally like a strong smoky smell in a fragrance, but Ferragamo Oud plays it off so well. It has a warm spicey, ambery, smoky, tobacco with a hint of honey and vanilla. The spicy and smoky scents are the strongest. I don’t detect any oud, so I assume they are referring to an oud accord. This fragrance reminds me of the days when you could actually smoke in bars (I miss those days). This would be a great sexy date night fragrance for going out for drinks in a dimly lit bar. It does seem to come off less smokey and more spicy when I sprayed on cotton clothing. So you can probably dial it in to your liking based on skin and clothing application. The bottle is so cool in how the glass is curved. You really have to experience it in person.

I took my time to review this fragrance, as it was slightly disappointing at first, as I was hoping for a dry fragrance with no sweetness whatsoever. That is not this. This is more akin to jazz club but heavier and with a slightly different drydown. It's a great fragrance after I got past my disappointment, it projects heavily, lasts all day, smells much more expensive than what it costs. As I've said the most similar fragrance I can think of is Jazz Club and your paying 3x as much for a very similar profile that honestly doesn't perform as well as the Ferragamo. I'm kinda surprised this doesn't get more hype as it's genuinely a great fragrance for cheap. For the price I give this a 10/10 but I'd recommend sampling it if at all possible the booziness is polarizing and quite potent in this case.

Miyake's Nuit d'Issey with a bit of tobacco and Iris. If you've smelled that one, then you'll pretty much have an idea of what this one is all about. It’s heavy on leather, incense, ebony wood, and spices, while the dry down is sanded down with soft vanillic touches (benzoin). The tobacco leaf is rather short lived, but does add a nice touch, and compliments the composition very well. I don’t find any similarities to Man in Black, but what I do get is a slight resemblance to Noir Anthracite, mostly due to the heavy spices and dark woods (which I like a lot). All in all, a tiny bit redundant if you already own the Miyake, but Ferragamo Oud is a much better blended and smoother composition. Just a finer scent overall.

Wow! Just got my sample in the mail from an eBay seller (shout out to robbyfrags90). This one is a nice, hard-hitting oriental. I’m getting a beautiful, boozy and floral vibe which sits on top of an oriental spicy composition. I haven’t ever smelt anytime like it. Feels more like a traditional oriental scent due to the florals and less like a modern oriental (almost with a feminine flair from the florals). If I had to try to paint a vague picture of the smell, imagine combining Bvlgari Men In Black with A*Men Pure Malt, but amplifying a floral element like that in Aramis Havana. Not getting a strong sense of oud but I’m only 30min in. Great potency initially - lets see if it holds up!

Struck dirty, old smokey dive-bar gold with this one. It's a sweet boozey smoke laden banger with a beautiful opening, not very long lasting, but multifaceted and outstanding for the price category. The smoke is a dirty cigarette ash-tray smoke (this note remains in the clothes for yonks) with a vanilla sweetish dry down. No oud as far as I can tell but some other woodsy/ambery notes. I have stopped smoking some years ago, and have ceased drinking too, but this brings all the memories back without the hangover, just that good, rank, next-day, bar skunky-funk that you know you've missed.

I feel like a rich lumberjack wearing this. Really nice woody dry down. This behaves a bit differently on skin and on clothes. Only drawback I have with this one is the slightly cheap smell it has at the opening on fabric. However 5 mins in and the spices completely take over Scent - 7/10 Sillage - 6.5/10 Longevity - 7/10 Overall - 7/10

To me, this is just "Ungaro oud" with more smoke. First spray and I was like "wait a minute, I know this smell" and yes it is very similar to Ungaro Oud. I was kind of disappointed because I was expecting more considering the reviews. It's not that the scent is not good but, if you already have Ungaro oud, it's no worth buying this.

Generic but sexy spicy woody leathery masculine scent for cozying up to a loved one a fall night. It’s light yet noticeable and attractive. Nothing really unique or special but well crafted and excellent value for money. Another great value in the genre is Black Incense Malaki by Chopard.

A dark, resinous, woody, and masculine scent. Extremely complex with great performance. I give it a solid 8.5/10

I wanted to like this and grabbed it based off of Max Forti's praise, but this stuff is just too designery for my taste. I don't detect any oud in this whatsoever so I'm not sure why SF decided on including that within the name. It it mainly a very sweet, leather, and iris fragrance. I think i would have enjoyed it a lot more if they toned down the sweetness. This should have been called Ferragamo Leather.

I salute ferragamo for trying something different here. It’s a harsh, spicy masculine scent with a bit of an old school/mature vibe. I don’t find it to be pleasant or appealing, especially comparing it to other oud scents within this price range (Versace oud noir). However - if you like louder - spicier scents, you may very well like this. 5/10

It's a leather scent on my skin and cloths. Huge longivity. Over spray during winter spreads entire house of mine and causes a bit headache.

Oh no, this is not what I was hoping it would be! I love iris in my fragrances but this is probably the worst executed iris accord I've yet to run across. It's not awful, but it's not at all pleasant to me either. Now I was hoping for a slightly less sweet Bvlgari Man in Black, and I absolutely love the iris accord in that fragrance, but it's not that. To me this is a much less spicy, less sweet, weird iris and slightly smooth leather fragrance, but it's not nearly as boozy, spicy, or as well blended as MIB, or Spicebomb for that matter. I recently sold all three of my Spicebomb fragrances, Extreme, Night Vision EDP and the original and now I'm out of my Bvlgari Man in Black and I was hoping this would be a good replacement for them but it's not. So now I'm looking at spending $300-$400 on re-acquiring them. I feel so stupid, but I do that every time I sell off some of my collection. Eventually I'll learn not to do that. This fragrance has a unique blend of components that lean mature. On the opening I get the spices and leather with minimal tobacco or rum. It’s a good opening that’s a teaser to the genius that’s the dry down! After about 10 minutes the tonka and benzoin offer up a creamy sweetness that’s to die for. The spicy leather is still there throughout but is pushed slightly to the background. I’d recommend trying it first as it’s a gentleman’s fragrance. Old school. Not a mass appealing blue bomb but rather a well thought out and sophisticated blend. Highly recommended!

I am sorry but this is not good or great at all. The instant I sprayed it a huge disappointment took over me. I bought it because of the reviews online, expecting some good oud, and/or maybe the resemblance to the ones mentioned here. What I get is this common, mundane men's fragrance note found in hundreds of unaspiring bottles out there. The oud is "nah", the leather (if any) is "nah" as well, and no dignified drydown either. Like the crazy one once said, "it is what it is". Let's move on...

Jumped on the Max Forti’s hype train but it took me to the destination which I did not enjoy. If you ever experienced walking into the gas station where smoking inside is available(in Austria for example), you will find this smell very familiar. Smoker’s car with some refreshing tree hanging on the rearview mirror is also a nice comparison. If you want to smell like that, this is a great choice. Otherwise do not bother.

Off putting. Tried to get through the gagging smoke but couldn't do it. Masks everything else. Hard pass. :(

Agree with Dj, this is not a man in black. This is a man in brown. I like this. It does its own thing and I'm guessing was SF's debut of a new leather component. Similar to what others have mentioned, this is a spicy leather fragrance with a nice floral pick up. Woods are a basic undertone and I hardly get any. I appreciate this a lot. It's not a top ten for me but a top 40 for sure. I love the original Ferragamo pour homme. Rose and Fig, it was an amazing daily driver for the office and it still comes in sometimes in any season. When I opened the SF Oud box, and when I smell the atomizer, I get hints of the original and I love being reminded of the times we shared. The opening of this is a little funny though, spice, then sweet rum? The rum makes this feel casual, fun, sexy even, like they took some pointers from Varvatos and Dark Rebels but wanted something more youthful. But wait! Give it 20 minutes and that glorious rum completely evaporates, to make room for a very nice leather. The spice and leather combo take over and the iris and other floral component lighten it up. On my skin, this is preferable and more masculine and more formal (but now less fun and sexy) than Valentino Uomo intense and Givenchy Gentelemen Edp... for me, it's like a man in black spice with a Prada L'homme Intense iris leather combo. I didn't need this but I like it. Unfortunately, this performs for me worse than any of those except maybe the bvlgari mib. Not as dark as I would have wanted nor as woody, so I continue down the designer Oud path and will open my Versace oud noir in a few. I don't regret my blind buy in the slightest. This scent is a wild mix that opens fun and sexy and quickly dries down to something spicy and leathery. Well done.

This satisfies my craving for a combination of tobacco and leather notes unlike any other fragrance. Although tobacco is listed as a top note, it attaches to the leather in the core and persists. This combination in the drydown manifests the scent of an expensive leather wallet or jacket belonging to a heavy smoker. The tobacco is smoky and of cigarette variety. This definitely has more tobacco than Man in Black. The leather is more animalic. Man in Black definitely has more of a sparkle stemming from higher amount of spice and rum scent and its guaiac wood note stands out more. Overall, Man in Black has more complexity and range. Although not as smooth or complex, I find this to be more sophisticated, old-school and more oriental than Man in Black. While the banquet the Man in Black goes to might be a more subdued and monotous black tie evening, this Oud Salvatore is an equally expensive, louder party, with more revelry, flashy suits, grand personalities and heartier laughter. Smoking is definitely allowed here. Onto the bad news: lackluster performance. I find sillage to be low. Background: I own about 15 tobacco-based fragrances and have sampled many more. If a tobacco scent safisfies me, it is the real deal.

I like it, it has the exact same note breakdown as Bvlgari Man in Black and of course the smell very VERY alike each other. The main differences might be that Man in Black is more focussed in the spices and rum with a little kinda sweet vanilla undertone, while Ferragamo Oud emphasizes the most out of the leather and tobacco notes with a great balance between the other notes, there’s also a little bit of a smoky feeling maybe from the “oud” (even though it is not listed) Overall they are really similar fragrances maybe Ferragamo Oud being a little bit of a matured and refined composition of basically the same notes which I personally like. But yeah... it is 98% inspired by Bvlgari Man in Black which at the same time its got a big resemblance to The original Spicebomb bu Viktor and Rolf

Here’s what I got from this. Maybe different for you!! Take Nuit d’Issey Issey Miyake and remove any sweetness you may smell. I’d say %90 alike. If you have Nuit and like the scent, you will probably like this as a substitute. If you’ve smelled Nuit and don’t like it do NOT get this. Pungent leather scent throughout life of frag. You can smell some spices and not your normal tobacco. Little rum. This is all about the pungent leather. Im not a fan of iris and I don’t pick up iris in this at all. Very linear. Scent 6/10 Longevity 6-7 hours full day on cloths. Silage 1 hour arms length skin scent 4 hours DO NOT BLIND BUY! Big pass for me. The horrible dryness here kills this frag. Try Nuit d’Issey Issey Miyake instead. I really wanted this to be better.

Is the fragrance nice? Yes. Do I regret the purchase? Yes There is nothing particularly wrong with scent; it just doesn't work for me. Why might you ask? I don't reach for it that much (That is all). I would put this in the same category as Bentley for Men Intense, as it is also a boozy fragrance I hardly desire to wear. Ferragamo Oud has a great deal of complexity and some lovely transitions as it goes through some nice changes during its wear. The Oud in this fragrance complements the boozy notes well. Probably a good fragrance for enjoying a pint at the pub, unfortunately, I feel limited as to where and in what situations I would want to wear Ferragamo Oud. I kind of get the Interlude reference. it wasn't the Interlude that I had in mind when i purchased it, though. It becomes more so in the mid, when the smoke comes out to play. This reminds me of a smokey version of Tom Ford's Plum Japonais minus the plums. There's no sweetness in this. The balance is more green than smoke off my skin. I think the Plum Japonais reference comes from the green smell from cypress. I don't know what's causing that in this, but i'm getting vibes of that. I'm definitely not trying to hype this, cause this is definitely an old man smell, a mature man. i can picture someone wearing this by the fire place during the winter time.

This in no way similar to Amouage Interlude or Interlude iris version..i have had SF OUD FOR 5 days...i did a full test ..the opening is strong smokey oud with a hint of leather on my skin and once its dries down its more similar to the drydown of Issey Miyake Noir Argent Peppery leather drydown..last 4-5hrs on skin and project good for couple of hours and then became a skin scent..if you Like smoky oud and leather scent go for it..there was tobacco or boozy accord as mentioned in the scent profile..its dissapppointing🙁

This Ferragamo Oud is seriously intoxicating! The rum and tobacco opening is warm and inviting, then it dries down to this smooth leather and iris combo that's just divine. It lasts forever too - perfect for a night out.

This is 85% similar to Molton Brown Russian Leather with a better longevity. Owning Amouage I.M there is a very slight 5% similarly but in no way a match. For the price value, this is a decent buy.
