Sam Edelman Signature

Pleasant, fresh, comforting, green, powdery, summery, classic....all come to mind when I smell this fragrance. I enjoy how this fragrance smells, but I enjoy how it makes me feel even more. The image in my mind is of me on a warm spring day with the windows open while I clean my apartment listening to The Eagles. I'm happy and carefree. I've never tried any of the fragrances that are listed on here as similar to this one. In fact I had no idea that Sam Edelman Signature had that kind of scent profile. I really really enjoy this! I wish it projected a bit more though...I'll definitely try to save enough of my sample for spring so I can test it in warmer weather to see if that makes it project more. I see from the comments on here that this is often found at TJ Maxx for a really great price...assuming it performs well in warm weather I would absolutely consider getting a bottle for $30~. If not this exact fragrance, then one with this scent profile because I really enjoy it and think my collection could use a fragrance like this. edit: this only lasted about 4 hours on me so I think I'll pass on buying

This is the very first perfume that I've ever bought and disliked at first...to then come back and be obsessed. Ive been on a perfume journey these last few months finding i have a preference for green smells. I found this for 12$ at my local Marshall's and got it just for the green scents. To my "new to perfumes" nose its was so peppery and masculine. Its been about 3 months and I've smelled hundreds of things sense then. I just came back to my bottle to smell it now that its HOT here in Cali. Its amazing! Its clean but not soapy, Woody smooth green. And im obsessed.

I love, 😍 this fragrance. It reminds me a lot of Santal 33, and now I can wear it at a much cheaper price. I purchased it at TJMaxx priced at $34.99, and it was sooooo worth it!!! It is definitely a spring fragrance, and so will it be for summer. Can’t wait to wear it during autumn and explore which notes permeate the most during that season. Note: Each season draws out a different note, making it better for one season, a few, or all.

I love this scent. It is office appropriate yet slightly sexy. It's not sweet but the florals come through making it feminine. I think it is elegant and could be appropriate for any occasion. Easily a signature scent.if you like Versense by Versace you will like this one. Edelman is woody and more floral with the citrus of Versense. Love this.

I too purchased this from TJMaxx and I am so glad I did. I swore off blind buying but I'm thankful I did. I saw "citrus" notes on here and got worried cause I don't like citrus. But this fragrance is clean green all the way. Super soft. The sillage is pretty weak, I don't know if anyone but you could smell it. A spring/summer scent for sure!

This is on the spicy side instead of floral and very appropriate for fall/winter definitely unisex and is a dupe for Le labo santal 33

It’s Santal 33 for 1/10th the price. It’s dead on. Performance is good. Perfectly unisex. That’s all that needs to be said.

I was compelled to buy this at Marshalls. It was $24, so I saw it as a good opportunity to own it since it was so discounted. Let me tell you, this is better than I thought. I was really scared from the comments on here saying of how green people find it to be. To my surprise, it was not as green as people have said. It leans slighly "green". At first blast it was, wow! So clean, so fresh, and lightly soapy. Then, it turns a little powdery. Please remember that everyone's skin's Ph is different, what I describe is my impression on my skin. It reminds me a lot of Versace Vanitas, only less soapy and overall better, more sophisticated. This perfume smells airy in a slight green way but not green at all, more on a clean, fresh, soapy way. I don't know how to explain it. To me, the greenness is not green; the greenness is more of the fresh, clean and airy kind, not like leafy and grassy. I highly recommend it for work in the office and job interviews. You will smell like you just showered with an expensive shower gel. Also, it is of good quality, it lasts strongly for a good while. This is a fragrance to wear with silks, linens, organic cottons (the pricey kind) and sheer clothing, the hair loose where the wind takes it and does with it whatever it wants.

I grabbed a bottle of this perfume from tj maxx, it’s a pleasant creamy scent but not in an offensive way, it’s not cloying, the drydown is nice too. Some of the reviewers mentioned that this perfume has similarity to versace perfume, i happen to have both perfumes and i sampled both at the same time, to me they are not similar, versace perfume is more citrusy, you can clearly smell lemon leaves from this perfume, it’s fresher and more subtle that SE perfume. SE perfume is more creamy, you cannot smell a citrusy note in it, at least not as obvious as versace perfume. Versace perfume is lighter and leans towards being unisex, its staying power is poor, but SE perfume is def feminine and stronger, its staying power is better than that of versace perfume. In my opinion SE perfume is a great everyday perfume since it’s inoffensive bright floral creamy perfume.

I agree with the previous reviewer's comments. Although I will have to eat some crow with this frag. When Fragrantica featured this one in an article, I thought it was the ugliest bottle period. I didn't even want to give it a second look. Butt... I saw it in the mall for sale at Macy's and the bottle is actually quite pretty in person and the fragrance smells like an amazing, non-offensive spring scent. This is one of those simple, but still manages to be complex style fragrances that I adore. Even though it's not a beast mode style, this is one that really doesn't have to be. It's quite addictive just too smell. Very similar style to something from eccentric molecules or cycle 001 from Violet. I'm not looking to buy too much right now, but I may pick this up this spring.

Just got this today at TJ Maxx. I like the bottle. This scent IMO ...is a light woody/green floral/slightly fruity/musk. I do not "get" Santal 33 at all....ok, maybe that slight "dill-ish" accord and light sandalwood-ish vibe. Also, I don't really get "margarita" vibes either,,(?). This is very easy to wear....spring/summer/early autumn. Yeah, OK, maybe a woodier Versace Versense..???....but this one is less citrusy..IMO. Projection/sillage is very medium on me, so far. I am rather liking this scent for what it is. Nothing ground-breaking...but somehow not too "mainstream" either. The final dry-down is rather nice.....

Thanks to AllyMage review below I revisited a blind buy from TJMaxx. When I bought it last spring I initially didn't like it and was going to re-home. Now that I am much further along on my perfume journey I can appreciate this fragrance. I really like sandalwood but I didn't get anything like that the first time I tried this. Now I totally notice it and its a dry greenish sandalwood. I prefer my sandalwood on the creamier side so I layered with Katy Peri's Indi and its a great combo. I think I might try layering with Mohave Ghost next.

Very pretty aroma of fresh cut grass. Nice and light. Priced well below what it should be. This was a very pleasant surprise. I received the sample in a pair of Sam E. Shoes I purchased. I’m not sure how long it’s been but I came across the sample and really liked it. I had zero expectations. But this is a lovely springtime scent.

Imagine sitting at a wood table, wearing Santal 33, Mojave Ghost or Indi by Katy Perry with a traditional margarita in your hand and a small floral bouquet at your table. This is the vibe I get. Very nice, and unisex. A green, woody sandalwood is prominent (not the "milky/creamy" sandalwood.

Extremely similar to Le Labo's Santal 33, but maybe a little greener on the opening. I picked it up at my local tj maxx for about $30 for an easy, everyday scent, and it does a great job at that.

This smells like you just rolled in a pile of dirt and sticks and leaves in a dark forest. I wear this on days I'm feeling more masculine. I'd say it stinks, but in a good way. I regret buying it because I could find something that fits my tastes better, but I was looking for something woodsy at the time, and this is definitely woodsy.

A very green, clean, slightly powdery fragrance. Reminiscent of fresh bell peppers, celery, and the scent of a margarita in the summer breeze. Some woody notes in the background to round it out. Overall, a pleasing warm weather, daytime scent that is both happy and uplifting.

When the reviews are about the bottle that says a lot about the perfume. *sigh* This morning I wanted a pretty scent. Two florals in the top of the accords plus powdery and sweet sounds like it should fit the bill. Also listed for women. Yeah, no. This is fresh air and dill. There's a very faint bathroom spray sort of floral. The base notes are weak; it's an ungrounded scent. TBH it's not bad, it just has very little in common with what the info here led me to expect. It's a gender neutral spring freshie. Weak scent bubble; it took three sprays to even be sure I was getting the effect of wearing perfume and I'm usually a one or two pump max person. Since the basenotes are almost absent and the fresh air feeling is fading in ten minutes I'm not expecting much from the longevity, which is fine since I smell like I've been harvesting dill.

Too closely rides the line into Whiskey smelling territory, I do enjoy this extra green tea note smell like in the bvlgari tea line, but it doesn't save it.

This smelled so bad on me...I tried wearing it on 2 separate occasions to get a good feel for it... disgusting both times. Dirt, pickles and body sweat.

Omfg this scent made me angry. That’s a new one. I was enraged the entire time it was on me. Yes it’s the evil mutoid dupe for Santal33.

Update: So the bottle is as beautiful in person, so over-the-top and Egyptian haha. I am getting an overload of sweet, and sunny, tart but milky orange blossom at first, almost identical to the overload of orange blossom in Armani Code Turquoise. Nothing masculine here though or aquatic. The mimosa is sweet and adds that happy, sunny, warm vibe that the whole perfume radiates. So the "floral notes" must def be orange blossom. Im not always a fan of orange blossom, here it's not as salty as it sometimes smells to me like In Code Turquoise (yes orange blossom smells abit salty and tart to me lol), but here its more "milky" than it usually smells to me. The green notes reminded me of pear or almost rhubarb at first, I am thinking Perfect by MJ but alot sweeter, more mellow. Im not getting much of the margarita actually until later mixed with the orange blossom that I bet it has. The scent becomes more creamy on my skin overtime. Overall it is a very happy and sunny, green and yellow scent. Longevity is average and projection not the best but everything stays close to my skin, maybe cuz I have dry skin. I expected more of that margarita, cuz I love alcoholic beverage notes. I really bought this for the bottle. Id say its a mix of Dossier Perfect of MJ's Perfect and Armani Code Turquoise. Its a strong like from me! The bottle is ART. The cap is cold like granite marble (=shiny), refreshing like river water and it somehow reminds me of the "country under/below the Aegean", that is Egypt (Αίγυπτος=υπτίως του Αιγαίου). I see the warm colors of the Nile in the shape of the Egyptian hat of the last Greek Macedonian queen of Egypt. Green and Yellow. Ive never bought a perfume faster.

I blind bought this yesterday at Marshall's after walking out and not getting it at first but after sitting in the car and reading reviews again something told me to pick it up. The mixed reviews is what drew me in because I feel, I like non conventional female scents quite often so I wanted to see. Im still testing this but its very green. I hope not too green to where it starts to turn me off but when first sprayed I like it. Im wearing it now, still testing, and I m trying to see how it should be worn. I put a spray on each wrist then 2 to the front of my shirt. On the skin I smell a slight fruit scent like apple or pear but there are no fruits in the notes. I think I was missing some sweetness so I added a tea body cream to my upper arms. Its giving me what I needed for the most part. This isn't a scent I'd think most would like, you may have to play with it, it's unique but if you like those types of scents you might like this. At times I get something similar to a note in covet by SJP. Its very green, also swiss army Mystique forest and chloe nomade, the green notes in that one, even though nomad was not for me. This is making me feel calm for some reason as I type this. Anyhoo, it was 24 bucks at Marshall's and I'm happy I got it for now. I will update!

I’m guessing this perfume isn’t doing well since it just came out in 2021 and I got a 3.4oz bottle at TJMaxx for $34.99. I don’t know if it is discontinued, but I’m happy to have it. I feel like this is a perfect spring scent, light, pretty florals, happy, green florals a little bit of very well blended light woodiness in the base. It is a very nice, happy, feel good perfume that will be an easy reach for spring days. I see some people are comparing this to Santal 33 and I don’t see it at all. Just because there is sandalwood in the base of this doesn’t mean it is a dupe. Santal definitely has a very different vibe from this. Santal is definitely a lot more woody and warm, more for fall and winter seasons, Sam Edelman signature is definitely light, airy and a little clean smelling.

Well if this is what Santal 33 smells like, I don’t understand the hype. This is strongly reminiscent of swamp cooler pads! That super fresh woody scent that blows through your house when fresh ones are installed! It’s weird and nostalgic (anyone else grow up in a hot climate with a swamp cooler??) but I can’t get myself to really enjoy or reach for it. Dang I felt sorry for the weird bottle at Ross heavily discounted and wish I could love it! It’s an extremely fresh, woody scent:) I think I would enjoy getting wafts of this from someone else wearing it!

For months I have seen this perfume at my local TJMAX for over $30. I was hesitant to buy it due to it's polarizing views and I was not able to sample it. However, I found it on clearance today and I am so happy I purchased it. I am not sure why so many people find this scent challenging. It's very fresh and green. There is no bitterness. I definitely get a mimosa/margherita vibe. It's breezy, fresh, and yet still a little musky. This will be a great office scent for me during the spring and the super hot days in the summer.

I don’t reach for this one often but I’m wearing it today layered with Native’s cucumber and mint body deodorant which adds even more green to this fragrance. It’s greens mixed with the lime in a margarita. The citrus is uplifting. It’s woody, but not in a masculine way. If you love springtime green scents you’ll like this one. My favorite green perfume is from Guerlain. It’s the Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca. It’s heavenly!!

Very green and woody - more like hardwood than sandalwood. It smells like a spring morning hike on a wooded trail. In fact, I wore it this morning on my walk and it seemed to blend right in with the outdoors. It's unisex but leans more feminine. Not quite sure how I feel about this one. I've owned it for awhile now and it's not one that I reach for but it's also quite different from anything else that I have.

If some scents come across like pickle juice to your nose, this isn’t a safe blind buy for you. Learn from my mistake, my nose interprets something about this as pickles. I also get pickles from ‘Thank u, Next’, this isn’t as strong and straight up pickles as ‘Thank u, Next’ but it’s in there as a note. Also, the bottle looks nicer in pictures than it does in real life.

This was a blind buy for me. When I initially smelled this I didn’t like it. It was the summer time and I’m more of a fruity clean fragrance lover for summer time. I came back to try it this fall and I love it! The woody notes work well for me in the fall.

Very much like this scent. It is definitely unisex. Does have a little more of a feminine touch but it smells really good. Not a heavy or strong scent. Beautiful bottle.

I can already see that the bottle is beautiful on the picture. Probably even prettier in person.
