Samouraï Woman

The first bottle was from my daughter's friend. I smelled it on her and I liked it, so since she was leaving for Japan already and giving away her old stuffs, that was the only one I asked , just a few spritz left but precious. It was made in France. I found one on Ebay and bought it, it smelled the same at first spritz but it doesnt last as long as the one given to me, and it was kinda sharp on my third spritz, I checked the bottle, it was made in switzerland. i dont know, it was ok, but it didnt last long unlike the one made in France. The Samourai perfume in my mind was the one made in France, lingering and mysterious. It plays hide and seek with the wearer, you dont smell it on you then there it is , then you would want to find that scent on you wherever did you spray it. I have to look for that one last bottle, the search would have to start in Japan, where my daughter's friend bought it.

It smells like a virgin. A pretty and lovely girl's perfume. Therefore, if the elderly wear it, it will be blown away!

I have several Samourai Woman perfume bottles, though not the one displayed here (and none of those I have are in Fragantica's Database). I find all of Delon's perfumes very decent, both the masculine fragrances and the ones for women. None are overly complicated or perfumed, but they have an elegant simplicity that makes them suitable for anyone to wear at any time.

A friend gifted me this one and I honestly loved the scent. It has a soft powdery feel that makes it really easy to wear.

Warm, sweet, powdery, lovely, girly scent. Nice at this price point (bought at around USD30) The 3rd bottle already :D

Samurai fragrances don't really make me happy. They are not bad to smell, just not my type of scents. I think Samurai is the most likable though. It smells like a perfume I enjoyed wearing that was given to me about 20 years ago. Does not smell like "an old person" smells like someone in young adulthood. Not too "grown up" not "youthful" or kid like either. Neutral on the age. Reminds me of great smelling shampoo. If someone got it for me I'd probably wear it to work in an office. Light, inoffensive, full bodied, herbal, pleasant. Not overpowering but I think it is distinctive enough to notice and get a positive reaction. This is not one I would buy for myself. It would make a good gift.

I didn't like the smell! it smells so cheap...

The Alain Delon website lists different olfactory facts for this fragrance than the above: The top note represents the incisive and slightly acidulous energy of Yuzu, blackcurrant and bergamot combined with white spices, creating an explosive blend softened by the enveloping signature of ylang. The heart note: a whirl of a new freshness gives to the perfume a modern character due to a mixture of centifolia rose, magnolia, peony, white transparent flowers and true ardent camellia. For irresistible seduction, the base notes reflect rare and rich woods, mysore sandalwood, white musk and maté combined with exuberant lily, luminous mimosa and the velvety softness of white peach. It is cheap, and it smells cheap as well!!!

The bottle I have is actually Samourai Woman White Rose, but I don't see it listed here. It's very different from the original... absolutely beautiful... highly recommended.
