Chevalier Aux Fleurs

I recently discovered the Samuel Rosse collection of fragrances and bought a few after falling in love with almost the entire collection. Chevalier aux Fleurs starts with a bright and lovely opening of Saffron and lemon, the middle is where the magic happens, a sweet fruity core with Carrot seed, tuberose, ylang complete. I have just never experienced a fragrance like this one, the florals are so natural leathery and sophisticated, I get many complements when wearing Chevalier aux Fleurs, and the name ‘Knight in Flowers’ paints a beautiful picture. I had high hopes for Chevalier Aux Fleurs by Samuel Rosse, especially given the positioning and price point. The fragrance itself is pleasant enough, soft, wearable, and generally inoffensive but unfortunately it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me. My main disappointment was the longevity. On my skin, the scent faded much more quickly than I expected, requiring reapplication throughout the day. For a fragrance marketed at a premium price, I expected stronger performance and a more distinctive character. While the composition is enjoyable, it doesn’t feel particularly unique or niche compared to other fragrances available in the same price range. There are many lesser-known perfumes offering more originality, better projection, and longer-lasting wear for similar or even lower prices. Overall, it’s a pleasant fragrance, but in my experience it falls short of the expectations created by its price and branding.
