Pelle Ligero

Pelle Ligero is soft, but confident. It opens fresh, slightly sharp, then quickly settles into something smoother and more elegant. You start to get a gentle floral note, but it’s not overly feminine it just softens everything. Then the base comes through properly... warm leather, a touch of tobacco, a bit of sweetness. It sits really nicely on the skin. What I like is that it doesn’t try too hard. It’s not loud, it’s not overpowering it just feels put together and expensive. It’s one of those scents that people notice, but they won’t always know why

Pelle Ligero was a complete disappointment. The fragrance opens with a brief burst of citrus and spice, but quickly becomes a muddled mix of synthetic leather, sweetness, and musk that never feels natural or refined. Rather than evoking luxury Italian leather, it came across as flat, harsh, and strangely chemical on my skin. Unfortunately, the scent was only part of the problem. Within a short time of wearing it, I experienced redness and irritation where it had been applied, forcing me to wash it off. I’ve worn many fragrances over the years and rarely experienced this type of reaction. For a fragrance carrying a premium niche price tag, I expected quality ingredients, depth, and sophistication. Instead, the scent felt surprisingly generic and lacked the richness and complexity found in genuinely exceptional leather fragrances. The performance was equally underwhelming, fading far sooner than expected and leaving little impression other than regret at the purchase. At this price point there are countless better options available. Between the skin reaction, weak performance, and uninspiring composition, Pelle Ligero is a fragrance I would not recommend and certainly would not buy. This perfume was gifted to me.
