White Vanilla

Where do I even begin? Part of me wants to gatekeep this forever but I just can’t keep it to myself. White Vanilla is hands-down one of the most irresistible, compliment-magnet fragrances I’ve ever worn. Not a single day goes by without someone, man or woman, telling me I smell amazing. And this little bottle of magic is the reason. To those who say it’s “too sweet” "overpowering” "disgusting" "sour" I genuinely think you’re missing the point. Like any good gourmand scent, White Vanilla needs time to settle and reveal its true character. Straight from the bottle, it’s deliciously sweet. Think creamy vanilla swirled with caramelized sugar(which I love actually)but give it 20 to 30 minutes to dry down and it transforms into the most addictive and delicious aroma that clings to the skin like a cozy hug. I apply it to my pulse points, hair and clothes for maximum projection and longevity. I layer this with almost any floral or gourmand perfume and it elevates my entire scent game. I’ve honestly started questioning whether I even need traditional perfume sprays anymore lol this oil does it all. It’s always in my bag or pocket ready to show anyone who compliments me (which is again daily). I discovered it a year ago at Marshall’s and winners and have been stocking up every chance I get.Just today, a cashier at a beauty supply said it reminded her of the Phlur Vanilla spray from Sephora. I haven’t smelled it myself yet but now I’m definitely curious to check it out and see how they compare. If it’s anything like White Vanilla, I already know it’s going to be good. If you’re looking for a scent that turns heads, lasts all day, and wraps you in a soft, sweet aura, White Vanilla is it. Just be ready for the attention.

The last time I was this GAGA over a fragrance was a while back. I am absolutely enchanted by this gorgeous gem from Marshalls. Marked on clearance for $10, I was shocked at how nice the quality is. Being a perfume oil, this wears long and lovely on my skin. I think vanilla oils do really well with my skin anyways. Good job, sand & fog as a women-owned business- I just ordered the large, faceted 100ml bottle from your website! It is so nostalgic for me to inhale this aroma; a bit like lip smackers lip gloss “vanilla frosting” 🍰 from the ‘90’s. As a little girl, I loved swiping that sweet frosting across my lips and tasting it. This also reminds me a little of Abricot vanilla but that wore too sickly on me. This is quintessential wedding cake; Pearlized ribbons of white fondant swirl atop a 3 tier masterpiece of amaretto buttercream frosting. Crystallized roses adorn the structure to add a lovely bit of sparkle. Me, smelling of this Gorgeous aroma. And me, anticipating getting married to the absolute love of my life. Mesmerizing. I will wear this now and forever after I say “I do”.

(Review of 5ml Bottle) Sand + Fog, my beloved... my girlfriend and I adore this brand. Cheap, potent fragrance oils. Not synthetic-smelling either. Solid performance. The whole package. A small squirt of orange, then STRAIGHT Vanilla. Just lush, warm, beautiful vanilla. No green or stem or wood, JUST VANILLA... then buttercream and sugar. Like a decadent cake. A cake that would make you bounce off the walls as a child, or even an adult, honestly. Yes, I would love another slice. Linear as hell, but who cares? You're having more cake. HOWEVER... SMELL this one before you buy it in stores. Seems like some folks are having an unfortunate time with ones that smell sickly, sour, etc. Like a disgusting spoiled milk. I'm to assume that this is the case because of the nature of oil based scents and how they can spoil - especially considering this can be found in places like Marshalls or TJMaxx, which kind of allow anyone to open these up and use them. Otherwise, buy/sniff away!

I initially purchased this White Vanilla oil in the 2 piece set with Pistachio Dream (each bottle is 15ml) and I fell in love with it! Sand + Fog White Vanilla is the absolute perfect warm, buttery vanilla! I love how this scent has a touch of sweetness, but isn't cloying or headache inducing in any way. I can smell a hint of fresh, sweet orange in the beginning, but after the dry down, I can't smell any orange anymore. What I do smell is a delicious, creamy, buttery smooth, slightly sweet vanilla that is amazing on its own or as a base for pairing. I've had this oil last over 6 hours on skin; I put it on at night one time and could still smell it as a skin scent in the morning. Some of my favorite perfumes to pair with White Vanilla are Khamrah (both original and Qahwa) by Lattafa, Born Dreamer by Charli D'Amelio (this combo surprised me!), Choco Musk by Al-Rehab, and Star by Mauboussin.

I was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of this scent. I was expecting every generic vanilla I have ever smelled before, and I got a mouthwatering dessert. Once I read the notes (vanilla, sugar, butter, and orange) I could detect the orange, and I was glad it didn’t linger. It makes an appearance - a sweet orange cake and not a tangy or tart, juicy orange fruit or orange peel - and then it disappears into the overall dessert scent. Interestingly enough their white vanilla candle lists different notes (whipped cream, vanilla, rose, clove, cotton candy, and Tonka) so I don’t think you can judge one by the other. I haven’t smelled the candle, but if they turn out not to be the same that is why. Strange to make 2 skus the same name with different scent profiles.
