Acqua

Surrendiptic purchase. Wanted a new ‘cologne’ like scent - a freshie and this was presented after a number which I already owned. This is a cologne version with florals if you like. For me it’s the freesia which Indetected only to find out just now it is a note listed rounded, brightened and bodied out with slightly juicy pear. The musk giving it depth. Whilst leaning a tad female the clean laundered smell is brisk, refreshing and not quite typical. The only comparable I know I own which is Fazzolari/Fzotic Pantoum which is slightly more citrus and indeed cologne like or L’Italien which is heavy citrus Neroli with a gorgeous floral body. All of these power away and this is a nice addition and ironically possibly the stronger performing in the SMN EDP range.

I visited their Firenze location last month, where I sniffed this for the first time. It was beautiful. My friend, who is not a "perfume person," sprayed it on her wrist, and it was love at first sniff for her. The longer she had it on, the better it smelled. I already had a bottle of Tuberosa in hand, ready to purchase, but I decided I liked Aqua enough to get it, too. Longevity is excellent. Sillage is very good; however, I don't wear my scents for other people. I wear them for myself. One spritz to my cleavage is all it takes, and I can smell it all day and into the next morning. It could be unisex, even tho I think it's more feminine. It's pricey, but worth it, IMHO.

I loved the quality of the Fragrances in Santa Maria della Novella. This is no exception, apart from the beautiful work of art of bottle and package, the scent in skin is floral somewhat fruity but not exceptional sweet so this is very nicely unisex. It has a drydown that i can describe as somewhat fresh, airy and green from a flowers scent, but not floral focused. This for me might be the "acqua". Wonderful scent, beautiful for women and men. Elegant and not a loud fragrance at all which i loved.

i had the privilege of trying this on in Florence and it was love at first sniff. it reminds me a lot of the sadly discontinued Acqua di Gioia, which i miss to this very day. an absolute must-have for warmer seasons.

Fresh wetness in a lovely form

A musky, rich base where lotus softly unfolds and a juicy, natural pear appears, more like a light Italian dessert, with sweetness offered without an overdose of sugar. This fragrance has nothing to do with water: no watercolor transparency, no fresh splash. It’s purely floral-powdery. A perfume in balance, calm and whole. If it has a color, it can only be pink (not fuchsia, but a tender, feminine pink). And once again I’m convinced: all those perfumery experiments with notes of pissed tramps and rotting sea life exist purely for our twisted curiosity and the greed of marketers. Here, there’s no twist, only simplicity, elegance, and a very clear femininity. The result speaks for itself: the fragrance gathered compliments from both European and Arab men, so much so they photographed the bottle to buy it for their wives. Acqua Santa proves the simplest truth: sometimes an easy, clean, harmonious scent makes far more impact than the most “conceptual” horrors pretending to be art.

A scent that begins with an unexpected sharpness, which I admit to catching me off guard—freesia laced with an almost peppery brightness, cutting through the air like the crispness of freshly snapped stems. It’s not the usual delicate floral or in this case dewy like I envisioned it to be; it has a bite, a liveliness that feels sparky. But as it settles, the fragrance softens, unraveling into something more fluid, more serene—an aquatic chinese pear and lotus accord that feels as if it’s floating on the surface of still water. The pear here, white and fresh, isn’t syrupy or overly ripe; it’s translucent, watery, almost weightless, blending seamlessly into the cool, water-kissed florals. This fragrance really has a certain quiet elegance to it, something wistful yet clean, with an atmosphere of calm. Slightly nippy breeze, rolling over a glassy lake at dawnbreak.

Aquatics are some of my least favorite styles of perfumes. But my GOODNESS. This one is gorgeous. It smells so fresh, clean, and romantic. Definitely feels like a fountain in the middle of a garden. I wouldn't wear it because it's not my style, but my husband loves this one and wants it for him! lol

Very light aquatic peony. Has just a touch of those clean “fresh laundry” vibes. Performs more like an eau de toilette. Lovely but not terribly unique and far too expensive for what it is.

On the strip this drove me wild but IRL it’s more fruity and musky than true fresh aquatic. It’s simple and elegant though.

Gave this a smell in their Milan shop on the 1st of August. I admire the beautiful sapphire blue bottle but the scent is a generic aquatic fragrance with florals. I've had more originality and unique-ness when buying indie perfume oils on Etsy for a 10th of the price. I've sniffed so many scents like this one in the past; perhaps the redeeming feature is that it's more delicate than other aquatic smells. Reminiscent of a lotus on a calm lake. But however pretty this lotus is, seriously, this is not worth £240...

Very similar to English Pear & Freesia by Jo Malone London, but with less pear and more freesia. It’s a pleasant, versatile, and fresh scent. However, it’s not particularly original and, unfortunately, it gives me a headache.

the pink bottle would be more appropriate got the scent. it's peony and sweet, lovely.

🌸 Summer Afternoon in the Garden 💧 I sit in the shade with a book. It's hot but not stuffy. Smells fresh, delicately sweet - like a pear next to freesia. No sharp citrus, no aggression. Just light sweetness and calm flowers. This is a scent for someone who doesn't want to be bothered by their perfume. You can put it on and forget about it - it won't fight with other scents, it won't tire you out. A pleasant summer fragrance. Nothing more, nothing less. @the.scent.files

This is a delicate perfectly blended summer fragrance. It is unisex to me. It's fresh and clean. It's very Italian in the sense that it's not about a ton of ingredients, just using the best quality and doing things correctly. I will be wearing this on hot summer days.

Smells like meyers hand soap. Hell no. Cheap and off putting freshie
