Quercia

Big fan of this fragrance. I had been looking for something in the aromatic fougere style but in a very smooth subtle more versatile way. It doesn't show many notes but the super high quality and unique variety of the materials they use give it subtle complexity . At first spray it smells like a very high end shaving foam. But it very quickly starts to bloom into a creamy, velvety earthy aromatic fragrance. Then the patchouli comes on very smooth and it gets really mellowed out by the oak. I normally hate patchouli but it works very well in this. It then settles down to a creamy smooth earthy aromatic. At this stage I'm smelling moss, sage, maybe a speck of rosemary. It's like if I was in the fanciest open air barbershop in the middle of a creamy aromatic forest getting a shave. It's not a loud fragrance that is going to pierce anyone's nose. Performance is pretty good. A solid 2 hours of good projection. A good arms length sillage . It won't become a close skin scent for a good 4 hours. But it will definitely stay on the skin. After a shower I was able to still smell it . It is very versatile. It kind of reminds me of Replica at the Barber but this is better in every way.

The first time I sampled it/smelled it I could straight up smell the lavender and felt like it was more of a feminine fragrance, my sister said it was a very manly fragrance after trying out/wearing the sample i lost the lavender and could only smell a very powdery woody aftershave cool fragrance with a hint of bitterness to it but nice. received a few compliments at work and bought a full bottle 10/10

Very elegant fragrance. Smell like a yacht club, very groomed man. I liked the way oak and lavender are so well done mixed. Definitely remind me of wealth.

I love it. It reminds me of cool shade in summer or oak leaves in fall. Handel’s aria “Verdi Prati” comes to mind.

Powdery woods, very comforting. Like the feeling of an endless crop field (not the smell)

I went to Milan on the 1st Aug and gave this a smell; I must admit that this has a similar DNA to their traditional classic scents. I found that it lasted longer probably because its an EDP; I could still smell it on my wrist with just one spray from the shop the next day. Querria smells opulent and I point the finger to the cashmere note it contains combined with warm black pepper! It'll be hard to find someone who wouldn't like the smell! That being said, it all smells a little generic... like the classical old-world charm that SMN embodies doesn't shine through here as much as their older scents; that might just be the product of the times. One could say that the perfume is a bit of a people's pleaser but it is very nice... Edit: surprised by the notes listed here on Fragrantica as I was told by the Italian shop keeper that this scent has black pepper and cashmere??

I adore the gentleness this perfume has. Perfumes that spray an ocean over you and cover the house, the cat and the house lice in scent are awful and the majority. But every now and again you find a bottle where one spray is enough, it sits closely to your skin and doesnt scream at its visitors. Someone walks inside my house and barely notices, if i asked "what do u smell" theyd maybe mention the forest around my house, but the perfume camouflages itself in it. A piece of wood, found in a spring forest, sweet yet so light u barely notice it. This is delicate, this is calm, this is spring forest.

What in dee world?! This isn't bad, but it's not at all what I would expect from this house. It's giving me Y2K Abercrombie and Fitch store vibes. I don't dislike this; I'd enjoy it on a guy, but it's very generic-smelling and overpriced. Great performance, though.

idk... I don't love it but I don't hate it either. I'm reviewing this as I wear it. Had to run out of the house so I wouldn't be late to work today, and I only have samples of this in my work bag. One of my good friends gifted me a handful of samples (amongst other things) of this as souvenir from her trip to Italy, she absolutely adores this fragrance. I'm so annoyed- I literally *just* took out the minis I usually carry around in there too last night, because I wanted to change it up! It's pleasant and I can see the appeal of it, but it's a little too earthy and deep for me. At least especially for work. As it dries down it's much more tolerable... the opening is quite patchouli heavy for me- which I don't mind patchouli, I just have my limits... it was on the richer, oilier side. I fear what might be saving me is getting wafts of yesterday's perfume still on my uniform. I think I put too much of this on... obviously getting a strong oak as it's dried down. It's a very typical Older Man scent. Very Department Store. It's really heady. My GOD. I think I have to wash this off. I was avoiding putting this in scrubber category, but I can't bear this fragrance at work at the moment. It's starting to give me a headache. Not the first choice of what to wear for this weather/season, but of course I sprayed before I looked here. When I tried it two months ago, it was pleasant although I still knew I wasn't crazy about it. It's stronger than I thought it would be. Just one of those days!

Since I already have 7 of these gems on rotation, Quercia could easily be my signature fragrance and replace my 40 year old beloved Chanel Egoiste. I’ll keep you posted, but I’ve been on the hunt for a dry, woody masculine fragrance for too long. I gave up on Chanel to listen to my wishes and create the next Bleu... not gonna happen. If DHL does their thing I will hold the sprayer directed towards my wrist on Tuesday. Service and Support as well as shipping are outstanding at Santa Maria Novella 🔥👑

I hate to complain because I really like this brand. And I don’t usually leave bad reviews if I don’t like the scent, but I was so disappointed in this one. When I saw the name, I was hoping for something like Pen’s Quercus, lovely shades of oaks, etc. Instead, on both my husband and me, Quercia was a cocktail of every cheap designer fragrance ever made...like the men’s counter at Macys blew up. You cannot detect the oak (or any other note) because everything screams at the same decibel. It was so overpowering that we finally had to wash it off after two hours. And yet it refused to be washed off.

DHL rang the bell 🛎️ and voila. DISAPPOINTING. Sweet, syrupy slightly floral. The Lavender Vetiver combo doesn’t do it. No freshness. Dusty and dull. Smooth floral texture. Not even potpourri level. Read my ode to Egoiste below, this is a disappointment of the highest level. Where is the oak? Where is the vetiver? I’ll let it sit on the shelf with the others and return to something more interesting, like Super Nova by Gritti.

Very chemical, cold and dark male body wash scent

such a tacky opening, it’s giving too much hair pommade, slicked back hair, beige linen suit & chunky gold jewelry (derogatory ) it’s sooo aggressively cheap cologne in the first minutes that for me it triggers nose blindness and overshadows anything that comes after. i couldnt even tell you if it’s good. it does seem to mellow out and get more interesting and subtle but by then, you’ve lost me already ! definitely avoid if you’re like me and strong scents hit your brain with a hammer ! also it took a full shower before the scent would even come off.

I talk a lot about grey overcast skies and thunderstorms and fog and mist and loving the glooms, but even I can appreciate an objectively beautiful day. Quercia is that day...clear clear air, clean clear water, when people say fresh air or water is sweet, this is what they mean, a sharp lucidity you can taste. Something green but not heavy, not dense forest green, lighter than that, the pale spring green of new growth and tender stems crushed underfoot releasing their watery juice. A cloudless, cool spring morning that makes you genuinely think "I am glad to be alive," the kind of day that feels like a gift you didn't ask for but accepted anyway. Dappled light pooling through ancient oak branches, the tree itself barely present except as shadow, as the reason for this filtered sun, this meadow existing in its patient protection. Lying in the grass eye-level with buttercups and bluebells, yellow and blue blooming heads, their petals hold that papery, delicate sweetness, barely-there floral, more like the idea of flowers than their actual heavy perfume. They're good-natured about being trampled. They know they'll be growing on your grave one day, gentle and insistent, reclaiming everything with the same cheerful persistence. For five hundred years, the oak has stood watching smaller things bloom and fade and bloom again, and you're just another small thing, bright and brief and beautiful. Studio Ghibli sunlight, that glowing animation warmth where death exists but doesn't overshadow, where graves get flowers and flowers get walked over, and it's all the same turning wheel, all the same dappled afternoon. The shadow is there - hence the coolness, the morbid turn - but that's the way of things. Just keep enjoying the flowers while you can.

I am shocked, not only the name is same but the scent is very similar to Acqua di Parma’s Quercia. I mean, we are used to inspired by fragrances but when it comes from a nice brand like this having the exact name of its inspiration, shock is sugarcoating it. Anyway, just like AdP’s Quercia, this is a very nice scent combining classic fougere structure to today’s mainstream masculine style. It is still a serious fragrance, just more versatile, just like AdP Quercia.

mind blowingly the epitome of department store men’s cologne, although elevated department store cologne. like crushing pine needles and lavender in your hand and rinsing the debris in the spring stream. smells simultaneously cheap and expensive, somehow i keep drawing my wrist to my nose. reminds me of when i worked in men’s cologne at nordstrom (olfactory nightmare).

I don’t understand the reviews suggesting this is a basic, generic fragrance. This smells multifaceted and stunning to my nose. The silage on my husband is a warm, woody, slightly sweet one. It is extremely well blended and, yes, sophisticated. I bought the full bottle for my husband and I have not a single regret.

Aromatic lavender cologne. There's a quiet luxury feeling in here. Cons: The Ethyl Matol - Lavender - Allyl Caproate chord gives it a Pineapple note feeling.
