ÔIKB

I've stumbled across very few fragrances that managed to hook me up and distract me from anything else I might be doing just to get another proper sniff at it. While a very addictive hobby, too addictive even, I never quite tried a fragrance and just went back to it again and again as if I was having a drug addiction. That was until ÔIKB entered the stage, a fragrance I just never get tired of. Santi Burgas' perfumery style, at least for the White Collection line, feels to me as very "expressive" and "colorful". From the orange marmalade of Egnaro, to the oxidized, depressed, yet passionately rose-led Flaming Red, each entry stands out through its expressive style. ÔIKB fits right in as the "mood-boosting" composition of the lineup, and without doubt as my favorite. It's not a terribly complex composition, yet it's not exactly the easiest to describe, because you experience it first, then you begin asking why it it is so good. It opens with a distinctive sweetness, almost reminding me of some bubblegum at first, then settling into a rooty kind of sweetness. That is immediately covered by a refined herbaceous lavender that is overpowered by a potent powdery iris. But it's not your typical makeup-like iris; it presents a powdery accord that when paired with the sweet aspects of the composition, it sort of gives the iris a dusty, but also jammy or juicy sensation that's to die for. It also reminds a little of the scent of carrot, only sweeter. And it's worth noting that some metallic and earthy undertones are present as well, which fit in like puzzle pieces. I do not get much spiciness, not more than a warm and cozy nutmeg underneath the aforementioned star of the show. The tonka bean definitely creeps in to support the sweet part of the structure, but without ever becoming too vanilla-strong. It mostly appends a subtle almondy, hay-like sweetness, but I do get tiny hints of creaminess too. Along with that, a clean cedarwood paired with whispered leather join to provide a more grounding aspect. But they hardly manage to take away my attention from the iris, which easily overpowers everything else in ÔIKB, even the hyraceum, also known as "Africa Stone". The latter mostly contributes with musky warmth, but there's absolutely no fecal or urinous edges that some might expect with it. Just a proper dosage of muskiness that still takes a step back in favor of the iris. There's actually one more thing with which the hyraceum aids here apart from the scent, and that is performance, taking ÔIKB to a little over 12 hours in longevity on my skin, earning it a perfect score in that regard. Projection was also on point, never too strong to the point it would choke anyone close by, but definitely strong enough to get you noticed and for you to enjoy it throughout the day. I constantly got whiffs of it as I wore it, even 7 hours into the wear. It formed a very consistent and persistent bubble around me which projected just strong enough to evoke some curiosity to any passer-by. Ease-of-wear should not be an issue here. Even during heat waves, I'd still reach out for ÔIKB, as it isn't that sweet to become heavy in the summer. Frankly, much of the sweetness mellows down significantly as the fragrance dries down. For daily activities, for work, for school, for your best friend's wedding, it doesn't matter - ÔIKB makes it hard not to wear it due to its likeability. That's when you know you're becoming addicted to it. Not just to ÔIKB itself, but to the whole hobby. Fragrance addiction is real, but completely harmless physically. The only part that might make you shed a tear is your bank account after an impulsive blind buy. So it's a good thing we have discovery sets available to test first before committing. But I believe you don't need much testing to do with ÔIKB to convince yourself to acquire a full bottle. It is remarkable just how addictive it is, and every time I smell it I'm just as pleased as the first time. It instantly boosts my mood, not with energy or an ear-to-ear smile, but by providing a comforting feeling. It might actually replace my current comfort scent, Davidoff Zino, and that alone is enough for me to urge you to try ÔIKB. I think this is my favorite fragrance of Santi Burgas, very clean, soft, powdery scent, Usually i dont like irsh flower cuz to me it usually smells like bad quality paper, too dry, too powdery, too shark like a metal, it is one of my least favorite scent. But this one changes my opinion. I got this scent paper at Esxence 17, I was not very impressed by this one and me favorite one was the red bottle, but when I got home and smelled every single one of Santi Burgas, this one really impressed me a lot. It is soft, light, and flory, and powdery, which make me remember my childhood. It does not have any scent of milk or baby, but a very clean and innocent scent. feels like the scent of Johnson ́s Baby powder which my parents put it on my body when I finished the shower. Really love this scent a lot.

Beautiful perfume. First the leather seemed overwhelming, too masculine but soon subsided a bit, soft floral and cinnamon notes appeared and by the end of the day I was in love with the fragrance - so rich, mature, complicated. Insanely long lasting - felt it on my skin for about 24 hours and it holds on clothes like new until washing.

Really beautiful creamy iris leather that smells super classy. It's extremely well put together; a winner! Note: while Burgas's website references "Eau Intense King Blue" in relation to the name, when you pronounce each letter in Catalan, it sounds out "Oh, how nice/good!"

I love this rather unique combination of powdery iris and animalic leather. It does go to a comfy woody tonka vanilla quite quickly (~1 hr after application) on my skin.

Very elegant powdery note that resembles Homme Intense from Dior, although here the woods note are not as strong and instead the iris is more prominent. Clean fluffy elegant fragrance, really appealing and most suitable for formal events. It smells a bit like baby powder although much more refined and elegant. very wise choice of high quality naturals ingredients. sits close to the skin with avg longevity 6hrs is what i get (don't know why people states it lasts 12 hrs though) 8/10

I don't know how nobody has ever been so far noticed a small one, but the essential similarity of this scent to Xerjoff Alexandria II ? especially in the drydown...

Starts with a creamy lipstick iris, lavender, tonka overdose, crisp, clean and spicy animalic leather, on a gourmant black vanilla background. My skin accentuates the creamy part in a comforting, almost medicinal sweetness. It is a fairly straight scent, sweet just the right. Iris is almond blue, rooted, supported by sweet hyrax, spicy nutmeg and hot cinnamon. The drydown is a sweet, comforting and familiar dusty cradle. I can feel it after a shower still present, alive. On my skin I have a long, slightly more masculine finish with the now distinguishable Moroccan cedar. First smelled here and find it .. sublime! This is a beautiful pounding sweet juice. In part it reminded me of Un Amore Eterno di Roja, straighter, with fewer notes but with an equally good quality gaggiolo root, dense and a little fatter. Ultimately a beautiful leather and genuine Iris, well made, dense, captivating, long-lasting, serene and pleasant. GOOD BOY.

Very similar Dior Homme intense. No need to buy it alongside.

Got it as a sample, expected not to like it based on the notes, and true, I do not. Iris AND leather AND lavender? Powdery headache-inducing nightmare to me. Probably wonderful for people who love iris and powdery scents, though.

This is hazy! an Iris covered by a sweetened replica leather bag! with some plastic notes, few delicate cinammon gums. I can smell "Cuir Mauresque" by Serge lutens AS A note only with plenty of sweet iris, and a slightly sweet mint. No black peppers, cedar, or lavendar, but there are quite fair doses of nutmeg. I remember sniffing this fragrance @esxence 2016 and i remember that i loved it from the first sniff. However, the "Cuir Mauresque" note develops and conquers later on, it became similar to that but bit sweeter. It's an amazing perfume.
