Torroella de Montgrí

Fresh, slightly coniferous resinous scent with a dash of chamomile. Oddly creamy, which I didn't expect considering the notes. It's pleasant.

A very rich well mixed fragrance. The cypress is certainly evident but theres a deep rich base that I guess is a blend of a selection of the other ingredients. I am not sure that I would buy a bottle but it is certainly a unique and relatively safe choice in my opinion.

🌲🌲🌲Torroella de Montgri opens up like a mountain spa; a warming massage cream, the bitter-fresh of conifers and eucalyptus, bark and resin, lavender and sage. Sounds like some classic herbal cologne from Italy, but there is more than this, a certain urban breath of synthetic nature, bringing up (in random order, no direct connection) Xerox paper, plastic, Azzaro Chrome, a Muji store, Odeur 71, Skai, Cyber Garden, Cool Water even; a random list of my personal flashbacks, yes. And there's also this sour earthy thing, presented in its more radical form by Aroma de Hormiguero - so unusual yet familiar, I think it should be patented. And then there's rosemary, which is always a challenge, somehow a bridge between the coniferous and herbal, a plant that can also easily turn completely "unnatural". And then we also have the sweeties from the tea department: thyme and chamomile. I guess the whole Mémoire d’une Odeur could fit as a single piece into this complex fragrance. A complex fragrance, natural and at times surreally so, primal and modern.
