Patchouli Intense

Very close to Guerlain Patchouli Ardent for 1/3 of the price. They are both Made in France, however, I think SAP is slightly more Middle Eastern vibe, while Guerlain is more French leaning, refined, and better blended. Sap also has a minimal Encre Noir feel with that dirty, earthy, animalic vetivery tone. It's like two twin sisters. One (PA) is a pretty, soft spoken, smart girl, that loves to read in the garden. The other one (PI) is also pretty, but more outspoken, loves to ride a dirt bike in the desert. Great fragrance, worth every penny, I love it. For me personally, Patchouli Ardent would be the choice.

I have 2 offerings from SAP, this and the Saffron Oud. Both are niche level quality. No joke. Both are extraits and are long lasting and strong projecting. This one is a pepper, rose, and fig bomb with a stong dirty patchouli note as well. Definitely not for everybody. Not crowd pleasing at all but really excellent. 11/10.

It became one of my favorite pieces in my collection. People will turn and smell you. Sillage is a very strong and very sexy perfume. 10/11

Definitely Patchouli Ardent. Lasts forever on skin. Its a hidden gem. Glad I found it.

Rose, Fig, & Patchouli with an animalic stink. SAP is a relatively new house whom's fragrances are "inspired". Patchouli Intense, despite the name, is not a clone of Nicolai's Patchouli Intense. I can not pinpoint what it smells like exactly, but the closest thing is a Tom Ford Black Orchid mixed with Guerlain's Santal Royal. I think it is Guerlain Patchouli Ardent clone but I don't remember Patchouli Ardent's smell good enough. Green, wet patchouli, with a nice fresh pink rose. Sweetened lightly with fig. The leather adds a beautiful, rich incensy touch. The leather is quite stinky in the opening hour. Finally, the combination is spiced up so lightly with a touch of pepper. Patchouli, green, rosey, lighly-figgy, slightly leathery and incensy. A mature patchouli-rose scent, with a green & leathery twists. Very likeable but the initial stink can be repulsive. Cool weather, unisex scent. "Like".

Yep, I like it. I agree with the few previous reviews before me. I can't compare to Patchouli Ardent. However, for me it is an excellent value. Price with performance and scent is outstanding. I am sure this isn't as refined as Guerlain. Of course, look at the bargain. Yet, it is enjoyable. Really enjoyable. For me it has a slight sour tinge to it in the beginning. It quickly fades and leaves a long lasting scent that i enjoy going back to. Will need to sample some of their other "inspired" fragrances. Will gladly keep in my rotation. Worth giving it a shot.

I don't know how peoples like this. Pure black pepper scent only for me. I'v got headache after it.
