Saffron Oud

This is the first oud fragrance that I bought three or so years ago (not too long after its appearance on the market). I only decided to try since I got it with a nice discount, so I had actually no idea what I should expect. It served as a really nice introduction to oud for a beginner and ignited my interest to try more. Not too medicinal or dense, absolutely not fecal or barnyard. It was smooth and leathery, maybe just a tiny bit smoky. Also, now I understand that saffron - rose - oud is one of the most hackneyed combos you can stumble upon, but then it felt very unique for an inexperienced nose. I still feel this is a fairly well executed fragrance, and not just because of the sentiments. It's not only leathery, it's also surprisingly sweet somewhere in the core. I can't distinguish any labdanum, but I would say the rose is definitely honeyed here, and also there's a sweetish note reminding me of strawberry lollipops I used to love as a kid. Just a hint of a sugared strawberry, I don't know which combination of notes produces this effect, but it's not too synthetic and the perfume remains unisex, although gently leaning towards feminine side in my opinion. The longevity is pretty decent, on clothes even a beast mode that stays until you wash the shirt you sprayed with Saffron Oud. The price used to be somewhat lower where I live than it is now, so glad that I managed to catch the bargain, but still it's a very fair price for the quality.

Saffron Oud by SAP Perfume is a stunning scent! Every time when I'm wearing it, I'm in love and think how beautiful and unique it is. Definitely a hidden gem for those who love daring, smoky, woody perfumes, but with a special twist here. I agree with Caddence and arturas.petkevicius that there is lovely captivating boozy accord, but this boozy aspect is not typical Rum or Bourbon whiskey. I feel it more like thick Coffee Liqueur with some Almonds/Cherries. I could be wrong of course, but that's how I feel it. Saffron Oud is very dense and powerful scent with monster performance. To me, the key words here are: syrupy dark rose, smoky woods, leather, alluring Liqueur note. If you love those kind of smoky and mysterious Oriental scents and find it at good price - get it! It deserves attention.

I also like it a lot, strange it does not have more reviews. There is oud and saffron, of course. But what I like and found it very surprising, it is a boozy note, of some expensive drink, really nice, I cannot identify it, that stays along the way. Maybe whiskey or very strong wine. I realize this is one of the notes I like a lot in perfumes, although I dont drink. Or maybe that is exactly the reason why I like it so much. On skin it stays very short, maybe one hour max. Not so much silage. On clothes is beast, like 12hrs+. If this is that good, I wonder how are the rest in the SAP group. They have few more in the line and like in this case, there is not much info about it. So try it and share your opinions : ), I am curious.

#1382 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Everything DVD1212 said. I also have Boss "Bottled Saffron." This scent is in fact identical scentwise, but more potent, less expensive. Saffron forward, woody, potent, inoffensive. It's a great scent at a reasonable price. But, what I can contribute is there is an even less expensive scent that I'd recommend ahead of this: Maison Alhambra "L'Oudh", a $20 scent which adds cedar, sandalwood and patchouli, for a woodier saffron scent that's equally potent (The rose is also stronger if that makes a difference to you. That can be off-putting for me, but I'm okay with it in that scent).

Wow, I think this bottle reminds me A LOT of Caden but actually a lot better. The quality and longevity are very good. Very complex with an amazing dry down. Siage is enormous and the when I say this is eternal I am NOT kidding. I applied in the afternoon. Walked my dog .Went to the gym, ran 30min lifted weights. Then went to target and I was still getting whisps of fragrance hitting my nose. This is the longest lasting bottle I own and I own a lot. I going to buy the entire collection.

At first sniff I smelled a sweet rose floral kind of scent mixed with something dark and spicy. I don't like rose that much so I was not sure how much I would like this. Then it became really leathery but smooth, lets say suede leathery. If you smell it close to your skin it smells like a new pair of leather shoes with spices. Its really dark, gothic but still somehow sweet. I actually like it a lot. Its a good find.

Update: Masterpiece 10/10. Smells very niche. Spicy saffron, some tobacco and incense. Rose to balance it out. Unique and high quality. Don't really get a huge oud note. This one is more about the Saffron.

Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐ he longevity is impressive, easily lasting 6–7 hours on skin and even longer on fabric. The sillage (scent trail) is moderate—it commands attention without being intrusive.

I totally agree with Caddence's opinion about a buzzy note. I would even say that a more appropriate name for this parfum could be Buzzy Saffran. Masterpiece!

Very similar to Boss Bottled Oud Saffron. Quality seems to be up there with what it's cloning. Performance is out of this world.

I will layer this with a sweeter rose fragrance to give it a sweeter more feminine aroma. And just 20 minutes later, the animalic oud fragrance overwhelms me. Now I'm sad.

It's a leathery oud with hints of boozines and saffron. Well blended, inoffessive, classy and mild. The longevity is mediocre with mediocre projection. The star here is the middle and the end which include surprisngly a lot of details. Despite a big like from me I would not purchase it again. I have ouds that better suit my preferences (Shaghaf Oud, Oud Mood etc.).

Smells almost dead on to boss bottled saffron and boss bottled oud aromatic. Def more concentrated, it says 79% fragrance concentration on the box. Idk if it's that high but there's a serious oil sheen on my hand where I sprayed twice. I love it,it's unique, going to try the pachouli one too.
