Classic, high-end Italian style fragrance. Has a Armani Pour Homme vintage formulation vibe to it, very citrusy and green. This is classy and niche indeed. Amazing performance, even more so when you consider this is a fresh fragrance. This thing glued to my skin for a whole day with only 3 sprays. I don't see the young crowd digging this but if you're over 30 this is guaranteed to put a smile in your face. Bright, almost "wet" citrus complimented very well by Neroli and a strong green base with the Oakmoss and Cedar. Very versatile, you can wear this dressed up or down: it fits a suit as well as a shirt-and-shorts during summer. You'll be smelling sophisticated either way.

The Icarus perfume was launched in 2017 and had the story of Icarus (Greek Mythology), with its wax wings melted by the sun as inspiration. However, the perfumer Sanderson Santana decided to generate a happy ending and created a fragrance that could withstand the strong Brazilian heat. Icarus has notes of bergamot, yellow mandarin, lemon from Sicily, petitgrain, basil, and cardamom, at the exit. The body of the fragrance features notes of lemon mint, ginger, myrtle of the Andes and Néroli. Finally, the base consists of notes of sandalwood, cedar, patchouli and oakmoss. In the first spray, the sensation is of happiness. Icarus came to fill my frustration with The Glory of the Morning and everything I hoped to find there. It is a solar perfume, luminous, refreshing, elegant, etc. The citrus notes - most notably the petitgrain - were very well explored. The transition between stages is subtle and the fragrance behaves in a linear fashion. From the body, it is possible to feel the ginger and the beautiful néroli. And from the base, the oakmoss unites to the cedar with primor. Icarus seems to me the most versatile fragrance, the most pleasant, the easiest to use and, I daresay, the most likely to be praised in the Sapientiae collection. When I recall my analysis of The Morning Glory, I remember commenting on the use of néroli and the expertise of the perfumer with such a note. Icarus accurately portrays my knowledge of Sanderson's work with this type of raw material. Petitgrain, for example, is a note that if not well dosed, can result in a sour smell, as in those masculine classics of the 70's, which are good but do not follow current market trends. Therefore, Icarus manages to stand out as a true unisex perfume, capable of improving any bad mood. To close, if you still have doubts as to the aroma of this perfume, I can say the following: if you like Bright Neroli, Colony No. 4711 or Neroli Portofino, then you will love Icarus. By the way, even with more volatile ingredients, it has excellent projection and durability. And do not be surprised if you feel like reapplying. I understand and share this feeling.

Cassiano, you made me wanting this profumo desperately! It has all the notes I made up in my dream-mix search(Neroli, Petitgrain,Lemon and Ginger). The other one was Ermenegildo Zegna Mediterranean Neroli. The last is still being sold online, in stores...About this one here, no idea where to start. Any hints are welcome! Ti ringrazio.
