Bound For Men

I got this fragrance 2 weeks ago. When I tried the first sprays, it smelled horribly synthetic, like a carpet cleaner or something of the sort. Didn't think I would ever wear it if it stayed like that, but I wanted to give it a chance hoping it would improve with maturing. So now, two weeks later, I smelled it from the atomiser without spraying it and it didn't smell quite as bad as it used to, so I decided to spray some on my wrist just to test it out again. And just like how it smelled straight from the bottle, it was noticeably far less synthetic and quite enjoyable now to be honest. It went from my least favourite of any I own, to climbing up (at least to me personally) above other well renowned scents like Lattafa Asad, Davidoff Cool Water, and even Xerjoff Naxos. And don't get me wrong, I do like those fragrances too! But considering I picked this up for $16, and it's competing with $200+ fragrances like Naxos, is incredible. Yes it might not be quite as high quality as more expensive ones, but the fact if you're not necessarily thinking too deep into it, it smells just as good. However, I will note; upon spraying it today 2 weeks after the first sprays, usually atomisers wouldn't need to be pumped a few times before working properly again after they already have done so previously, at least in my experience that has never happened before. But with this fragrance, the atomiser needed a few sprays before working how it should again. It barely had anything come out the first spray, then second it spewed out like a shower hose without dispersing it into a mist. Didn't feel like putting more than that for a quick test on my skin so that's all I tried, but I'm sure if I did a few more sprays it would be more acceptable, but I thought that's something worth mentioning. It was $16 so I will allow for some shortfalls, and because it is so cheap wasting a few sprays to get it to working how it should before use isn't the biggest deal in the world if needed. I am not sure if this is just my bottle, as I have not heard anyone else mention this, but just something to keep in mind in case it could happen to you. Overall, all in all for $16 you can't really complain much about this fragrance. Just give it a couple weeks or so to mature and be wary of a slightly dodgy atomiser. But the scent is superb for the price besides those shortcomings!

Sapil Bound Cost me less then $15, I immediately bought a back up (blind buy) Glad I did. As I female I wasn't sure but I love any (apple and orangeish) scent so I was gonna try no matter what and for the price I should have bought 4 bottles. Now that price has gone up a bit. Okay I digress. I opened the box and bottle was nice and advertised as mens. Bottle has a leather look (for me no leather in juice). I fell in love. It has very nice longevity on my European skin and gr8 on clothes. It has gotten me compliments. and I just love smelling myself. This is for sure a easy go to for me and an amazing gift for the men in my life. 8.5 out o 10. Come to find out is allegedly a dupe for Armani Code Purfumo Which I never got a chance to smell. I don't care.My nose likes the smell on me and men. Sometimes I layer it with I love love machino and get crazy compliments from men and women

I think this is an absolutely winner for the price. A lot of these Middle Eastern Orientalsweet fragrances have an off smell that leans very synthetic and chemically. This is quite smooth, and I think if I had a blind test of it not knowing it was a clone I would say it was a decent designer fragrance. I can not say the same for a lot of the other clones by some of these companies like Afnan, Armaf and Maison Alhambra. Don't get me wrong, I like clone fragrances for the most part and I buy fragrances from the previously mentioned synthetic smelling companies, but I was very surprised that how decent this was. The the only downside is the projection and longevity aren't monstrous, but I wouldn't expect it for that price. This is a really really decent clone that doesn't smell as fake as many of the others. 9 out of 10 for what it is.

Upon initially opening and spraying for the first time, this opens up really harsh. Like really harsh, and kinda citrusy. It also never lasted too long initially and projects very weak. I wasn't actually disappointed to be honest as I was expecting this as also mentioned from a lot of reviews. I am also aware of the wonders of maceration. Fast forward to 3 months later, BOOM! It transformed dramatically with the harsh opening gone and the real scent revealed. Lasts all day, especially on clothing. Projects really good even with a single spray. I bet most negative reviews rely on pre-maceration experience. But most Middle Eastern fragrances are like such. Be patient and let this sit for a few weeks. For the price, I reckon no one should be complaining. A BIG 👍 for me.

It's really sweet, as in diabetic sweet. You have to like sweet fragrances, it's sweeter then 1millon and less fresh. Sweetness is similar to sweetness in Lattafa qaed al fursan. It's similar to sweet scents like invictus Victory. Not bad at all. Compared to code parfum which i have, it's extremely sweet, less powdery (i was hoping it would be more powdery), probably more fresh overall which isn't a good thing in this context and silage is better then code PARFUM, which is crazy to say, but in my opinion not as good in the scent profile which you wouldn't expect. You get the code DNA under a ton of sweetness. For the price excellent.

I recently pivoted to mostly just buying decants / smaller bottles of designer and niche stuff, but had to hold onto this one because it's so great. This my favorite ultra-cheap ($20ish for 100ml) bang for your buck fragrance I've tried so far. Just wish the bottle wasn't ugly as sin. It's super smooth - dark and sweet with nice tonka, amber, and leather accords underneath. Not so sweet that it ventures too far into the gourmand category for me, which I tend prefer as scented candles. Bound feels perfect for fall and winter, and/or evening and date nights. Very masculine and alluring.

Tip for anyone buying this fragrance...MACERATE these clone houses push out fragrances in such quick succession they don't let it mature..this fragrance after 3 months smells completely different to when I first bought it Initially I didn't like it, it wasn't sweet enough and the opening smelt like almonds and nothing else Months later the smell has depth it's sweet, light on the almonds and now a scent I will wear for winter... Before macerated 2/10 After maceration 8/10

Please don't judge this fragrance on first sprays out of the box. I did and nearly put this at the back of my collection merely to just sit there and take up space. So I put my trust in the fragrance community and let his just sit and stew for 3 months. WOW am I glad that I did, I am wearing it today and this has become so nice and smooth, pulling this up front of the collection. Perfect for the cooler months indeed. This was a (4/10) and now it's (9/10)

Wow, this one surprised me a lot! Not the most known clone-brand but took a risk (sounds weird cause what's the risk when it's so cheap... 😅) because I've always loved Code Profumo and the modern Code-family. I imagined this one to be a basic clone and nothing special, but it's a really good one with good quality and performance. Really addicting scent for the cold weather. No harshness with my bottle, first spray was already heavenly good.

I added Bound because I needed that free shipping, $17 bucks... OH BOY WAS I PLEASED. This is a sleeper cell. Such a beautiful and delicious cold weather frag! Presentation is nice too, atomizer surprisingly very good! And this stuff STICKS. I don't spray on my chest or front of neck but I would still get whiffs of myself for HOURS. The drydown stays on clothes forever. Definitely pick this one up for the price!

I have gotten more reactions from this scent than almost anything else I own and it’s crazy inexpensive. Long lasting, strong but doesn’t overpower either. Kind of harsh opening, but after the first 10 min the scent settles into a warm sweet scent that’s great for cool weather and has a nice leathery dry down. This isn’t totally like Code Profumo, but very similar. At $20 this is an excellent value.

Found this thanks to Ashton, and it was a great recommendation. I'm late to the game on Profumo, and somewhat a newcomer to the Fragrance world, but I'm a fast learner. I actually don't mind the opening, but the drydown is pretty damn close to Profumo, and it doesn't smell like a cheap clone. This will have a permanent space in my rotation come fall and winter.

Seen a reccomendat from YouTube, I mean it was £11 so even if the smell was 60% close I would be happy but it's really really good, very sweet initial blast the leather defo takes a back seat on this which is fine for me, fries down lovely aswell, get easily 8 hours on this and for the price a no brainer, FYI hide the bottle it's ugly

Fantastic performance and longevity. You spray it in the morning and you can easily smell it in the night. Similar to Armani Code Profumo for just 18€. There's nothing to complain about. No need of maceration at all, the performance is great from the first minute. Guys this is a really good stuff believe me

Honestly. I have tried many perfumes. This one looked very unpromising given the bad design of the bottle. However, it's perhaps one of the best scents I have ever smelled. What's crazy is how long-lasting and cheap it is. this is definitely going to the list of my favorites of all time.

this is awesome. not only a clone of a DISCONTINUED beautiful frag but a damn awesome one too. i always say if you're gonna clone something then at least bring back the discontinued treasures. this is a great example of this. Next I wanna see someone cloning Midnight in Paris.. anyone?

It's a great blind buy. I don't own Armani code, but I think I don't need to. In opening it smells and projects like Versace eros and dry down is spicy and leathery with sweetness. Longevity is easily 6 hours and projection is decent.

For under $10 Brothers this one is the king of cheap fragrances its so good. This is the best code profumo clone i've seen. So underrated but it needs maturation/maceration at least 6months. Don't judge first sprays out the box.

Simple If you like playful tonka scents with a bit of a soda/sparkly nature get this And yes it smells similar to armani code profumo but isn't identical For less than $20 this is great! Also has good staying power

Rumour has it that the designer of the bottle went out and got blind drunk the evening before, then went home sick the following day. He’s not been back to finish it since. Fantastic juice, though. 👌🏻

Fresh citrus and apple opening. It’s very nice and sophisticated at an affordable price. Rounded off nicely by the nutmeg and amber. Needs to sit for a few months before wearing. It gets nicer.

Nice smooth, masculine scent. I get a hint of powder in the initial spray. Honestly think it can be pulled off year round. My only complaint is longevity is average. 7.5/10.

About 95% close to Armani Code Profumo on dry down. Only difference is Profumo is a little more punchier. For the price it’s a steal. Love this fragrance

Bound for Men is a wild ride of fragrance — it opens with a bold, almost electric burst of citrus, anchored by the crisp tartness of green apple. This initial (bordering with toxic) brightness quickly transitions into a smooth, creamy scent, revealing warm, sweet notes of cardamom and chocolate over a base of ambery vanilla, tonka bean, and clean leather. It's relatively linear — not overly complex or unpredictable, with no surprising shifts — yet each note is distinct and well-blended. Once you get past the opening, the fragrance settles into a pleasantly smooth aura. It boasts excellent longevity with above-average sillage. If you enjoy calm, masculine fragrances, feel free to apply generously since it's remarkably affordable, and after around 30 minutes, it mellows to a balanced level, regardless of the initial intensity. The bottle, however, is somewhat of a bizarre joke, almost absurd in its unusual design. The top features a cheap-looking plastic and faux leather component that inexplicably rotates loosely. It's as if a lot of hashish was smoked in Abu Dhabi during its conception — whatever they used for creativity while sketching it out was way stronger than coffee. A true hidden gem reminiscent of a Chinese store find. But don't let it fool you; behind that dubious packaging is a scent worth far more than its bargain price tag. One of Bound's most surprising qualities is that it's one of the best examples of maturation in my collection. At one point, I even listed it for sale at an inflated price, but (fortunately) no one was interested for a long time. A few months passed, and after returning to it, I found it had completely transformed from the cheap, plasticky scent I initially received upon unboxing. Now, it teeters on the edge of luxury — something most likely hard to believe for people unfamiliar with perfumes, especially Middle Eastern ones. I'd bet most of the highly negative reviews were written shortly after opening the bottle. It bears some resemblance to Halloween Man X, the Stronger With You line, and their clone, Oud 24 Hours Majestic Gold. In my opinion, it surpasses them in terms of character and eccentricity. Overall, it feels like a blend of multiple fragrances, with a unique, unconventional sweetness and leathery profile that can be a real treasure at a budget price — if you're willing to wait around a year to let it fully develop. A solid choice for long-term haulers, a diamond in the rough. With this scent, the easy answer. Imagine a mixture of Armani Code EDP (2024) with Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male (or Afnan 9pm). Any time I say "Code EDP" I am referring to the 2024 version of it. Not the countless other versions as Armani has and will release. They are probably making 5 more as I'm typing this. If you've never smelled the recent version of Code EDP. Imagine a modernized take on the original version of Armani Code from 2004. Cleaner, sweeter, almost Dr. Pepper soda like, which doesn't sound appealing until you try it. The stars of the show are an almost vanilla like tonka bean and nutmeg that is far from what you'd smell directly in a spice jar. They took the sharp edges off of it so to speak. I got this as a gift for someone so I got to walk into this unbiased for this review. The first good thing I'll say about this is that the price is fantastic. However, for those looking for a solid clone or replacement for a bottle of Code EDP when it runs out this won't do exactly the same job. That isn't to say it's a bad fragrance, no, there's going to be a lot of people who will absolutely love this. The more this dries down, say after the 2 hour mark then Code EDP takes over. The quality is fine, however, by no surprise Code EDP is superior and this has nothing to do with the placebo of a higher price tag or brand loyalty. People on the street we are near aren't going to detect the difference in "quality" as you walk by them. 1000s of people wear Rasasi - Hawas no problem and that's the epitome of synthetic. For those wondering I do like Hawas. Age wise. From absolute beginners in middle school to someone in their early 30s this will appeal to the most. This is very easy to wear in almost any situation, to pull this off you've got to like sweet fragrances. Don't worry the sweetness isn't borderline diabetic and people won't question if the fragrance is masculine or not. Such as the original Paco Rabanne - One Million or Roberto Cavalli Uomo (2016 version with the black/purple bottle). Performance wise, I put 6 sprays on and got about 6 hours minimum. If you "need" more than 6 hours for some reason, over spray this or put it in your car or locker. The best bang for your buck that provides you with more performance I've mentioned so far without a doubt is 9pm. However, if you already own 9pm and want more contrast in your fragrance collection, skip this, unless you either love 9pm scent profile and and want a slightly different take on it. To make a point, check out the note pyramids of this and 9pm and you'll see the similarities. Both have Green apple, lavender, orange blossom, amber and tonka bean.

This has a lot of sweetness and a right amount of freshness and dryness. It is mainly sweet, creamy and leathery; the freshness is only in the opening. It is unique and distinct but still a crowd pleaser and a head turner, this will definitely capture attention, and will stick out from the crowd. First time I used this fragrance was a walk outdoors at nighttime just a few days ago – a female acquaintance of mine saw me and gave me a big hug and just stayed there snuggled around my neck for a solid 30 seconds or so, I had to shake her away. She didn't give me any compliments but she gave me a total of 4 hugs around my neck within a span of 10 minutes that we hanged out. She's never done this before because she usually gives me one quick hug when we see each other. I'm pretty sure the hugs she gave me that night was because of this fragrance. So, with that said, I'm confident to conclude that Sapil Bound for Men is one of those "hug magnets" type of fragrance. Projection is above average for the first few hours. and lasts 7+ hours on my skin. I think I easily get noseblind to this fragrance since it has some power and punch to it. I love it and I feel like I will be using this fragrance a lot.

After reading all the reviews for this on here, I'm convinced there must be several variants of this out there already, masquerading under the same umbrella. Either that or our olfactory systems are playing havoc. I don't get a great deal of the Code Profumo DNA but some of it is there. I definitely get more of a 1 Million vibe but creamier and more delicious. The tonka bean shines through in mine as does the amber and nutmeg. I get very little mandarin or lavender and only the faintest whiff of apple. The dry-down is gorgeous. I wouldn't say the sillage is up to much, being pretty close to home if I'm honest but it's there. Regardless of comparisons with other perfumes on here, for me, this is a great perfume in its own right, and at a snip of a price I find it quite laughable that people are losing their shit because it doesn't smell like something that they desperately want it to smell like. A safe blind buy in my opinion and a keeper.

I HIGHLY agree with @darckent , make sure to MACERATE this perfume before using it. When I first got it, the initial spray smelt like a citrusy bug spray. It was like this for the first 5 minutes, but thankfully it went away and turned into a very similar smell of the Armani Code Profumo. I sprayed 10 times and let the bottle macerate for 1.5 months. After that time I wore it again and the initial spray was SO MUCH BETTER, it actually was bearable and smelt decent (and I don't really like citrusy sweet openings). The dry down smells ~85/90% similar to ACP. I wore it yesterday and surprisingly gotten a compliment for it, which was nice as I didn't think the perfume would've been noticeable. This was 4 hours after applying it, so it's safe to say that the sillage will last for at least that long (depending on skin type). Longevity 8.5/10 Sillage 8.5/10 Price 10/10 Overall 9/10 for a clone!

Ash from Gents Scents reviewed this on his channel, while I was ordering another fragrance I added this to my order because I like Armani Code Profumo and my bottle is finished – though I only wear these kind of fragrances in the winter. The ridiculous cheap price of only 12,5€/100ml at Notino made me buy it now – the citrusy opening is a mess and not my thing, I did not really like it and if I would be in a shop to test it – I would not have bought it - but after about half an hour the fragrance evolved in a decent copy of Code Profumo – I sprayed only once on my arm in the evening and was still slightly noticeable in the morning – so longevity is decent though I have to store and wait 4 to 5 months to be able to try it in cold weather – for the price you can’t go wrong, bottle design is not appealing but you don’t buy it for the bottle but for the juice inside

When I first received "Bound" I liked it but it wasn't anything special. The opening was harsh. I couldn't smell much leather, (and I love a good leather fragrance) and it just smelled extremely synthetic. Shouldn't have expected much for the price. I decided to put it away for the summer and let mature for a few months. Some people say that the maturation thing is bull but I'm a believer. (These companies are pumping these out so fast they never have time to mature.) This completely changed everything about it. The opening is still a little on the harsh side but the rest of the fragrance is beautiful! A nice chocolaty leather accord from the tonka, leather and amber combo. Whether or not this is a good alternative for what it's supposed to be imitating it's still a great fragrance with great performance for around $20.

I loved Armani Code Profumo and was very disappointed that it has been discontinued. In search for a similar fragrance, I found this one here. What can I say? I am not disappointed at all! My verdict: (I am not a frag Connaisseur) I really like this one, it is a bit more "artificial" in the beginning, very strong and it leaves a bit of taste on my lips the first few minutes. But even the start is besides that very pleasing. After 10-15 minutes it settles and has a lovely sweet, amber, fruit, leather scent like Code Profumo or similar scents as 1 Million. The longevity is fantastic, spray it in the morning, enjoy it when you go to bed. The scent transforms from the very fruity sweet scent in the beginning, to a lovely amber, less sweet and warm scent with time passing by. Price wise phenomenal!

Same as a fellow below I was influenced by Ash’s review....and was browsing my local Notino page...10€ after some discount. Apart from bottle,which is the biggest crap human race ever produced...it’s a bang for a buck and pretty close to Code Profumo in the mid and dry down...if I remember the Code Profumo correctly. Opening is much more up on leather and citruses but citruses fade first and then leather follows 10-20min later and u got nice and cozy fall/winter aroma that lingers for some time. After initial testing it went directly to fall/winter maturing chamber. We will see in October what I make of it again.

I agree with the comments below saying that you shouldn't spray it right ouside of the box, I am a skeptic when it comes to maturing and letting bottles sit, but it really applies to this one. When I first bought it the opening was very very weird and kinda off-putting, it's been some months now and it smoothed out a lot, or maybe I just got used to it. Anyways, if you just bought it now, spray it 15-20 minutes before going out so you can wait for the opening to dissipate and you'll get a great cardamom-sweet fragrance that has a chocolate vibe to it, performance is really good too, more than 7 hours on me.

If you are on a budget and you love sweet scent profiles like Armani Code Profumo, One Million, SWY and the likes, this can be a great practical alternative. I got my bottle for $17 at 100 ml. Quality, performance and projection are all decent, unless you hate dupes. The bottle is tacky and must be ignored but then again, to smell good need not be expensive. This is overall a good dupe at a price that will make you smile 😊 I gifted a friend with this one and he can’t stop talking about how good it is. Who would think you’re wearing a dupe? 8/10 👍

I don't get the hate this is getting, it's smells good, performance is acceptable, and is very affordable. Where it does fail is in cloning code Profumo it is not very close, and I think this is the source of the hate. Armani Code Profumo is a discontinued fragrance that was beloved by the community and unless a clone comes 95% close, it will be hated for its difference. Id say this is 75% Profumo and 25% it's own thing. Overall id rate this a 7.5 out of 10 as it's a great fragrance but doesn't do what it is intended.

I smelled Code Profumo a while back, like it quite a bit. After finding out it was discontinued and this was a clone ended up taking the chance. I agree with a few others, the first maybe 2 minutes are a little harsh. After that time it becomes incredibly pleasant and very similar to how I remembered. Nice manly scent, and is pretty quality in the mid, dry down. I would say it's absolutely worth the price from discounters. I got a "tester" for $12 or something silly and will say all day every day this is a buy.

I've had this for over a year and am trying it out again since the temperature is dropping where I live. This is really nice, tonka bean heavy and sweet leather. On paper it's a bit ashy but on skin very sweet. It's a bit cola like and very familiar of mont blanc legend night with softer aroma chemicals. Too sweet for me to wear very often. Still, good value at such a low price.

OK after 6 months of maturation and occasional usage. This is one of the best value scents in the market if u want something in line with Code Profumo. They are 80% the same once that stuff settles. And that's my biggest and only drawback when I think of it. First few(5-10min) are horrible and can occasionally make U gag. Otherwise a banger and a gem.
